I have a problem here, the icons of the apps which I have moved to SD disappears from the homescreen after every reboot. Is there any way that I can keep these icons without moving the app to Phone?

I put an app button on the launchbar (DoggCatcher). Every once in a while the icon changes from the DoggCatcher icon to a generic Android icon.
The DoggCatcher icon returns when I get an app update from the Market.
Eventually, it goes back to the generic icon and the process repeats over and over.
The functionality remains the same. It's just that the icon changes.
Does this happen to anyone else with any of your icons on the launchbar?
Does anyone have an idea why or how to prevent it from happening?
Thanks
have you tried with another icons? I had change the icons so often without any problem... (I believe your talking about dock application, right? )
Changed app to see what happens
Yes, I am talking about the dock application at the bottom of every screen. I just changed the app on the launch bar to see what happens.
The Google Music icon that I have on the launch bar never changes to a generic Android icon so you could be right.
It might be the DoggCatcher app.
Thanks
Is DoggCatcher on the SD card? If so, try moving it to internal storage and see what happens.
It is on the SD Card
I'll try moving it. Good suggestion.
I know there has been a question about the homescreen icons before but I never saw a resolution to the issue.
Problem: Applications loaded to the SDCard will show the default android icon rather then their own application icons.
I've noticed if I change scenes it will reload the icons and show them like it should, however the next reboot they revert back to the default green android icons.
Any ideas?
If you go to settings, applications, running services, press menu then hit cached services and stop htc sense, it will reload sense with the default icons. easiest way to go about it so far, no fix yet either. Been pissin me off to

In the middle of using the app Allcast, my phone seemed to freeze up (not sure if related) and I could no longer open up the app switcher by holding down the home button. After doing a hard reboot, there is no status bar, quick settings, app switcher, and my wallpaper is black (trying to set a new wallpaper didn't change it either). Any suggestions on how to try and fix this?
Is it possible to create a widget or app icon so that it changes location on the home screen at either set intervals or every time it's tapped?
To save the memory space it is often essential to move large apps to the SD card. But sometimes if you have moved the icon of such app to the launcher screen the icon will disappear after the phone restart.
This is a common problem caused by the fact that in the time the launcher is started the apps are not "linked" to the part moved to the SD card. For the launcher the app is missing and thus the icon is removed.
There are 2 solutions:
Move the apps that you have added to the launcher back the internal memory.
Install a more inteligent launcher that can handle such situation and displays the icon as grayed while the app is unavailable - for example the Nova launcher.
