is the ics official update available on xda? - HTC Amaze 4G

my friend has an amaze on videotron so he cant do the update on the phone and we cant find anything on xda made the 21th of may. i found the stock collection on the sticky post but theyre posted on the 7th so i was wondering how is that stock ics if the real one was released the 21th... im super confused

The leak and the official ICS are the same exact thing. Download the one from the development section and it should be fine.

This thread belongs in Q&A.
Better yet - look at vibrant (since your from us and tmobile) forum.
Ah i get it, OP meant to say
"Which forum is right"
i think the "Witch" ROM
i lol'd
This thread is an ultra-fail. OP spelling and grammar is a mess =P
If it's the T-Mo Vibrant, go to that forum...if it's an I9000 variant, stay here. Pretty simple.
Either way, this ain't dev, so thread reported.
Im so lost lol apparantly theres about 50 galxy s phones

Yeah something like that
The US variants (TMo Vibrant, AT&T Captivate, Spring Epic, Verizon Fascinate) all have their own forums.
There are smaller carriers with US variants like CellSouth or US Cellular, no idea where they go I also don't know where the Telus Fascinate goes, but the Bell Vibrant (which is really an I9000M) and any other I9000 goes here.
Since it sounds like this is actually for a T-Mobile Vibrant instead of the i9000, I've moved it to the Q&A section for that device.
OP, please take a moment to read the following thread, for guidelines on proper thread placement, particularly regarding the dev section:

IMPORTANT: EVERYBODY PLEASE READ!

I've been seeing an increasing number of ICS threads in the general section. We already have an " Everything ICS" thread in the sticky section.
PLEASE DO NOT CREATE ICS THREADS IN THE GENERAL SECTION!
From this point forward, any ICS threads I find will be deleted without notice. Repeat offenders will receive a warning, or infraction, depending on your post history.
Also, ALL question/help related threads belong in the Q&A section only. Any question/help related threads found outside of the Q&A section, will be deleted. I encourage new members to take a few minutes to read the rules. Repeat offenders will receive a warning, or possibly an infraction, depending on your post history.

This is not a rhetorical question; I am genuinely curious as to what the answer is:
What is the thought process that leads one to conclude that this is the appropriate place to create this thread?

I just read that you can update via kies right now. I do not know if this is true, and I am already running ICS so I don't really need to try. Anyone confirm that this sis true?

Galaxy S III Jelly Bean Rom

Okay so I believe most of us have been waiting on a custom Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean Rom. Now the question is when? And which would you prefer Stock Jelly Bean or Touchwiz Nature Ui with Jelly Bean features and fluidity? I for one enjoy all the features that come stock with my Galaxy S III but would just like to add features such as Google Now and Project Butter's fluidity (Not Saying that the Galaxy S III has Lag) but what do ya'll think and do you know of any team working on it such as cyanogenmod?

Key word: asking. You're asking a question so it belongs in q&a. No matter what your question pertains to it still belongs in q&a. Only actual development belongs in the development section.

Well, it could pertain to other carriers, so it could be in General. I believe the development forums are for ROMs in development, and discussion of future ROMs still go in General.
Got way excited when I saw the title of the thread... curse you

This is not the Sprint SG3 forum. This is the Sprint development section. The rest is combined. Development sections anywhere on this site are not for Q&A. That's why we have a Q&A section

And you're continuing to be wrong about this concept - simply because you have a Sprint version doesn't mean it goes in the Sprint dev forum, you had a question, that goes in the Question & Answer forum.... read the rules! I bet you wouldn't be as confused if you had read that FIRST before posting here incorrectly....

This is the wrong section, unless you have original development to post, it should not be here. Post in the Q&A or General Section.
so many posts telling him where to go etc, how many of you reported it so it can be moved tho?
reported
MOVED......
IF YOU DID NOT DEVELOP SOMETHING DO NOT CREATE A THREAD IN THE DEVELOPMENT SECTION
I dont think this concept is that hard to comprehend
So HOSTILE in here don't think I'll be posting here anymore............

papa smurf is the mod on the sprint gs3 wow that's crazy, haven seen him for a while anyways,
I want jelly bean with touchwiz ,it has good features, but it cool look better, for some reason it reminds me more gingerbread then ics, most likely cause of the green battery lol
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
On topic, since it's in the proper area now, I can already tell you I want an AOSP-based ROM like CyanogenMod or AOKP when Jelly Bean hits.
The International SGS3 started getting official CM9 nightlies not too long ago, so I'd imagine it won't be terribly long until the US variants see a similar treatment.

Auto Rotation issue on HTC Amaze

After updating to 4.0 stock from stock 2.3 i found wired issue and it was the autorotation issue. my phone was working perfect but after updating of 3-4 dyas the autorotation stopped working so i format with factory reset and it started working again but again after 3-4 days it stopped working so i have to reset my phone every 4 days contact HTC but no luck thy just ask to calibrate and delete catches by going into recovery nothing much right now i am running SpeedRom 7.8 as just thought that custom rom might fix that issue LOL...
found lots of people are having same issue Devs we need your help as HTC sucks for their support
You've posted in the wrong section, just an FYI.
I'd say get off stock and get a custom rom. I haven't used stock at all and I haven't had any auto-rotation problems.
I am using custom only speed rom 7.8 and still same thing have tried bunch of other Rom and still same thing and someone mentioned about issue because of bad RUU from HTC though not sure what's RUU
