Slow when dock is connected - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

I've noticed that my tablet runs very slow when dock is connected. All apps run very slow. Rebooting didn't help any. Does anyone experience the same? Any workaround? Thanks in advance.

Gmail closing after.13 update

Has anyone tried reading the details of an email in your inbox and after about 8 seconds, the app closes out to home screen?

I've had this happen since the ICS update. Clearing data and cache help for a few minutes but then it still crashes for me.
I have had this problem a few times after the new update too, the gmail app just freezes and i have to force it close. The other default email app works fine though.
I did a cold boot and it seems to have resolved it so far.

I have the same problem and a cold boot solves the problem...for a while...if you use the prime for a long time, or open resource intensive apps/games gmail crashes again.

Making SIP calls from Prime

Hi,
Could some please tell if it is possible to configure SIP in Prime(not about apps like Skype)? I can from my ICS in Nexus S. But couldnt see the option in Prime. Am i missing something!!!!

Found the answer. Installed CSipSimple. Nice application...

hate to be a noob but could you explain what that app does?
Im using grooveIP to make free calls from my tfp via google. It works great and all it needs is your username/password
SipDroid is the best app available IMO. Cis, 3X, and all the others don't work the best and aren't persistent, loose sip all the time when doing other things or if screen is off...

Don't know them sadly, I use pbxes with Google voice for sip via sipdroid. Works perfect on my tablet too.

The easiest and best way for this is to buy groove IP from the Android market and use it with your Google voice account. Set up is a snap and the quality is very good..nobody has been able to tell yet that I was using my prime!

I purchased GrooveIP and got absolutely awful quality and played with the settings nonstop between me and my roommate (calling her over 20 times).
I just ended up getting a refund for it.

error when downloading files for shadowgun

I just bought the Tegra 3 version of shadowgun from the market but every time I try to download the game files I get an error and told I need to check my internet connection. I know a lot of you guys have shadowgun did you have any trouble getting the game files? If so how did you fix it?
thanks
Steve
i had no problem installing it.
are you connected to wifi prior to opening the game? are you leaving the tablet awake so the wifi does not disconnect?
Try reinstalling shadow gun and rebooting. If your rooted use titanium backups option "reboot device"

Hi
Thanks for the replies. My WiFi is on and connected. I can download other apps and browse the net no problem. I've tried resetting the transformer. I even tried hard resetting it. Still the same problem.
I just tried to install galaxy of fire 2 and it says a file read error has occurred. Could the two problems be related?
I have installed deadspace and it downloads and runs no problem.
Thanks
Steve

Nope still no fix. I wonder if we got a copy of the game files from some one with the game working and put them into the correct folder on our transformers then at least we'd be able to play the game until a proper fix can be found?
I just got my tablet on Fri and it took me a few mins to work out how to post a new topic but you touch the menu button at the bottom and select new topic.
thanks

Google Earth

Has anyone tried the updated 7.0 version of Google Earth with 3D maps? I have tried 3 times and when I open a 3D map it crashes my whole tablet. The first time the app actually uninstalled itself, never had that happen on Android before. I have to say, this is the first real trouble I have had with an app on this tablet.

I just flew over boston with 3d maps no problem. Although after exiting the app my tab got sluggish had to use a task killer to kill all.

Just tried it in LA - everything works great even on slow connection. It automatically replaced the older version like with all other applications.

Did that and it worked, thanks man. It runs better and doesn't crash anymore, but really slows down my tablet after use. I am guessing it is a real ram hog. When trying to kill it, it didn't come up under advanced task killer app list, I had to go into settings/all apps/earth and force close.

Tried it on wifi connection. It's quite laggy and obviously not well optimized yet. I think I wasn't active enough at zooming because of slow connection (see post above) and those lags didn't show up... So for now I don't think it's usable in 3D buildings mode. I'll wait for an update.

Bad Piggies

Anyone else having problems with this game force closing constantly, even with cold boot? It also has some freezing issues. Not sure if it is a rovio, jelly bean or TF300T problem?

Had a quick play around and did 2 levels without issues. I was on performance mode. Stock and unrooted

I've played till level 22, but game freezed 2 times and 3 other times force closed.
On my phone (an old Desire Z) works well, so maybe it has something with the screen resize...

I am using the hd version. I will give it a try on performance mode. Maybe it is a tegra 3 issue.

HD version, definitely has issues. Switched to performance mode which stopped the FC's, but the game still sometimes slows down during play.

ive done about 6 levels and my tf300 stock rooted and i played on balance and it ran fine for me guys (but it might be because i only did 6 levels lol)
I have the same issues with tf700 since JB update. With ICS there is no issues.
Same Issue here with the force closing and over clocking on Performance mode doesn't seem to be helping.
-Over-clocked root ROM is what I'm on.
Since the switch to performance mode, plus a cold boot, no more fc's, although it slows down every once in a while. Try another cold boot.
