This phone aside from keyboard lag and batt drain is awesome...
I've tried and tried to understand why whether on gb or ics batt drains like can watch % drop every few minutes
My hox on ics wasnt half as bad I'm rooted anyone know a good fix or kernel for team objection ics or a kernel.
And why for God sakes do all Samsung devices slowwwwww charge if u don't have a 2nd battery when first dies you'll be in the red zone rest day trying to regain some type of charge

Try the official Emily rom its gingerbread..there's even a couple of good themes for it, I had very good battery with that rom. Am now testing ics CM9. Sometimes its the settings you have and brightness that kills the battery. I leave my brightness on 40% keep auto sync OFF.. Even black wallpapers and inverted apps help with battery as it takes less energy to energize the pixels...I get awesome battery life on my note.. And I use perfect keyboard pro....I have NO lag what's so ever...sometimes rarely you'll get lag on keyboards but clearing ram or cache seems to help restore the order of things....hope this helps a little

Interesting I own a Note never had any Battery Issues....
If you got a defective Unit try to take it back to your ATT Store.
I see you own the I717 Unit that's the ATT Model. ATT will gadly replace it with the same device or get full refund back.......
If it's only the Battery Issue it might not be the Phone it self just a bad battery I would by another battery it would cost you around $20 which isn't a lot of money for a replacement on a battery.....
It takes me 2 and half hours or less to get a full charge on my battery but I've never rooted my device.......
I don't know if AT&T hates your or something but I don't have keyboard lag or a bad battery.

I get great battery life on my phone.

I'm new to MIUI and have search the forums but found no answer to my question so here it goes.
When I first installed MIUI it has wireless set to sleep on screen off. I changed to to never since that is what I have done on every ROM on ever phone I've used. However with that setting, the phone never sleeps. If I look at the battery it shows the phone as always awake and never sleeping. So I changed it back to sleep with screen off, however my wifi never appears to turn off when the screen is off. My phone is still showing as always awake and the wireless proxy in the settings is always on. If i turn off wireless before I turn off my screen I can see the phone actually sleeping and am getting decent battery life (though I'm still in the calibration of the battery). I'm trying to get the best battery life out of the phone (and this ROM by far is the best of all I've tried), but I'd like to keep on wifi. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
I have been running miui for about two weeks. I use wifi at home, but never away from home. I left the wifi
sleep policy on the default setting. I too noticed the phone never seems to sleep. I left it on airplane mode overnight and actually went from 92% when I put it down, and woke up to 93%. But during that period the awake in the battery stats showed as awake. It showed deep sleep in CPU spy. Here is my stats for the past 24 hours. I think miui battery stats measure "awake" differently than gingerbread's built in battery use.

It worried me that the phone was always "awake", but with the battery life being on par with the stock ROMs, I soon stopped worrying.

OK thanks. Once I'm done calibrating ill do some tests. With wifi on it seemed to be draining my battery fast but its not calibrated yet so maybe that was it.

By the way what theme are you running? Its looks like what I've been looking for but haven't been able to find yet.

I set out looking for a gingerbread green aospish theme (my goal was S8's theme). I could not find anything the color I want with icons that weren't confusing to read. I found this ICS theme on the Android theme subforum. Its near perfect, and really complete. If I could get the ICS blue traded for GB green I would be in heaven. The only part of the theme I don't use is the lockscreen, I liked the one that was default better. The SGS II theme is there is pretty good too, really close to the stock themeing.

Hello guys,
I flash twice my Xperia U to ICS and I done it well. At frist one, i made without reset factory and the second one with reset factory.
In both cases I got the same problem.
The ICS is draining battery life hard, even in stand by. No mater what, It consumes about 25% for each 4h. Using hard or using nothing.
I instaled GSam Battery Manager and it says its Kernel and Android OS.

When I used gingerbread, my battery lasted almost 2 days easily.
Android version 2.3.7. It lasted 41h and still have 19%.
Please, someone can help? I tried everything i know. No matter if data or wifi is turned on or off, it will consume lot of battery. I tested.
It seens impossible to reach 24h in this situation.
Same here
New ICS su.....
I'd uninstall the task killer and battery defender to begin with, they will drain your battery like crazy.

Try using titanium backup
Freeze all the applications and services which you are not using..
If u do a thorough search in the forumyou wil find the list of services which are safe to freeze
Set maximum cpu usage to 200mhz when screen is off..

I'm not using my U yet, got a sim in it, but still using my old phone for now. I'm running ICS and am getting 12-15 hours battery with less than 10 minutes use. The rest of the time it's in standby, there's a pretty bad battery bug, I've not figured out what causes it. On GB I was getting 15hours medium use (~3 hours) and would still have 40% battery left. Battery info is showing it as awake the whole time it's on standby.
My phone`s original battery lasts for one day in normal use. I bought a 2680mAh battery in eBay and now I can use my phone all day long without any problem.
Soi saw the hyperion 5200mah with back cover on amazon for $19.99. Anyone have this battery and if so is it actually a huge step up in terms of battery life? Its double the stock battery but we all know what that can mean though so is it an actual good increase or no?

I have an Anker 5200 that I got off of Amazon, came with back cover as well. Cost me the same $20. And mine made a huge difference... Definitely twice the battery life for sure and the 5200's are nice because there not too too big.
I'd imagine the Hyperion would bring the same results.

So you like it? Gets you through a day and some orno? Right now if I manage to forget to charge it over night from the following day its dead by 10am and it sucks not having a phone at work in the prisons.

Oh Yea! It gets me through the day... right now I have 60% Battery left with 8 total hours on the battery and 4 hours screen on time.
And usually it's better than that... Just today I spent some time in recovery and flashed a few things so these stats are not even the best.
With my use I can get like 10-12 hours screen on time. This on an AOSP ROM running a custom kernel + Greenify.
It's definitely the perfect battery for me. Only like 2 times since I've had this battery ( about 7 months ) have I had to charge the phone during the day. And that was only cuz i used Navi + Listened to music + Some other apps all day non stop.

Wonder how much different the Hyperion would be to the anker. I remember seeing the banker on sell but didn't recognize the name so didn't jump on it.
Here are my stats right now. Cm11 and stock kernel.

You know I don't know how much different the two batteries would be. Both are very good companies and from what I've read both had very good reviews. So you probably can't go wrong either way.
I have Hyperion battery in my girls S4 and that one seems to hold up pretty well. It's not a big one however so I can't compare...

Are others having this? i mean i go through a full battery about twice a day.... I cant figure out what is draining it so bad. i have used WLD, greenify, and bootmanager to try to figure it out..... None of my apps are ever on the battery list, and screen is around 50% usually with android system and android OS always being up the list. I always thought it was my bad signal strength at work but i had two weeks off and my phone NEVER lasted even close to a day.
I have factory reset once but loaded my same apps backup.
I heard someone else mention that the sprint has this weird battery drain that is explainable and was wondering if others see that also.
I am on the search for a 6000+ mah battery i know it will have a replacement back plate but i don't want the whole case thing like the 9000 zero lemon.
Sounds like kernel wakelock
As of the last two days i have also been experiencing much faster battery drain. Have had the phone since launch and never had this problem.
I do not use the device in excess. Very few if any phone calls per day, some texting and gmail, occasional skim of xda, huffpo, phandroid apps and very light Twitter use if bored and not near the computer.
Battery has dipped 5% since writing this post...that's all of 1-2 minutes in use.
Sent from my LGLS990 using XDA Free mobile app
That's not normal for a Sprint LG G3. A couple of questions:
Have you looked at the battery stats page to see what app(s) are using the most battery? I'd suggest taking a screen shot of that page and posting it here.
Have you tried rebooting the phone? If there's an app or process running out of control that will often clear it up.
Are you rooted? If so, install better battery stats so we can get a better look at what's eating the battery.
Finally, you might want to take a look at this thread: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...android-system-eating-your-battery-check.html
While it's unlikely you have the same problem I did, the tools and techniques I used to debug it might be useful for you.
Gonna wait for some custom roms to see if the problem just goes away.

Dude the battery app should show you what is causing it. Something has gone rouge!!! I just had my weather app running in the background using GPS for 5 hours, yeah my battery went way down. Freeze some BS apps. I routinely get 30 hrs plus on a single charge. Not the phone itself something you are using is causingi it.
As requested, my craptastic battery info. Brightness was 83.

*EDIT*
bought BBS, phone is up stairs charging... imagine that... will post those screens next drain...
I’ve loved my Note 3 since I got it. My last work day, end of last week, at around 1:00 PM my battery level read 83%, a common value after coming off charge at 6:00 AM. Upgraded to Lollipop yesterday, so today is the first, full day on it. At 1:00 PM, I look at the charge indicator and its reading 52%, with very light usage. What I'd like to know is if I'm alone or a rarity with this experience, or is there a big, middle-finger thank you to Samsung building.
I like some of the very cool changes, and am embarrassed for Samsung for some of the ridiculous changes made, but can live with all of it. But the change in battery drain is absurd. Does anyone have any idea what might have changed that might be causing this?
My thanks in advance.
It could be just that your phone is still in the throes of the upgrade. Try rebooting and see how it goes.
