The S3 calendar looks like crap compared to the S2 calendar, bright colors and messy GUI. (Just my opinion)
Is there any way to use the S2 calendar on the S3?
Would it maybe be possible to back up the S2 Calendar app via Tit backup and then transfer it to the S3?
You mean the widget S Planner?
Also adding a question on it, it's possible to use the widget s Planner (which is a calendar) when you are using another launcher (like APEX)?

That one.
The new one looks like this:
(Ive edited out names, hence the white boxes)
Yeah, this new one belongs to the widget S Planner.
I personally liked it better than the older. However since I will use another launcher, I think I cannot use this calendar.
If you get the APK of the old calendar and put into it, it might work.
Maybe someone has that SGS2 calendar.apk, and would be willing to share

I am considering purchasing a unlocked Galaxy S2 for use on at&t and I have noticed when looking at reviews that the icons looks more attractive on certain reviews. Is it because some are using a more current version of touchwiz?? I want to make sure I get the version with the prefferred looking icons, some examples....
This is the one I like best...(notice the white messaging app & orange and white contacts app)

Second best....(notice the ugly orange messaging app)
Worst......(notice the ugly orange messaging app and & ugly orange contacts app)
Can anyone with a G S2 chime in which version you got and where u bought it from? Or maybe are these just running older or newer versions of Touchwiz?? Any help woud be much appreciate as this is a big investment. Thanks!!
I bought mine recently in Portugal, and looks like your first screenshot.
See my attachment.
Most likely phones branded by carriers have slightly changed icons or owners of the phones customized their icons. Default icons are the ones in your first picture.
Hi Guys,
I'm a designer and have put together a concept of a Google Search Widget that I wouldn't mind sitting on my home screen. I've integrated styles from other parts of the UI so that it'll fit more seamlessly into the user experience.
I've never developed for Android before but have done a lot of background reading and am aware of the various \res\drawable images I'll need to replace. My question is whether or not I'll be able to replace those images without rooting my device, using ASTRO for example?
Also, is it a simple case of replacing the \res\drawable images and it working or is there more to it?
I've got a locked bootloader and don't want to unlock it, so am waiting for ICS and a hopeful way to root with a locked bootloader then.
Screenshot of what it will look like:

I'll be re-designing the app that launches upon touch to look more like the Xperia UI menus

Hi! Im digging forum for some cool callendar widget (like on stock touchwizz from samsung) whitch shows whole month with labels visible. Stock callendar from Samjung is not visible after installing custom launcher. Maybe someone have a solution how to make it visible?
Thx in advance
I have the perfect solution for you: Business Calendar, search it on google play and download the free version. It does exactly what you want it to.
Wizz widget is good.

Forget these other options and get APW calender and agenda. Like you, after leaving touchwiz for cm10 I desperately needed my calender widget back. I found it and a crapload more with APW. I really like the time line widget also. It puts your Facebook, Twitter and more into one timeline.
I was also seeking a widget 4 a long time. Now i found Clean Calendar Widget pro and I'm really satisfied.

I'm looking for a transparent Google Voice widget. I've searched high and low on XDA and the web and have probably tried 8 different apks that claim to be transparent but they don't work for me. I had one working on my Epic but the transparency doesn't show on the Note 2. I'm running Sprint stock LJC rooted. Any help would be appreciated, but please, don't post a link unless you've tried it and know it works. Thanks!
hmm,I might be able to help. Will look at it tonight, If you're ok with it being based off the one my sig

Here, just made this-- made it mostly transparent (since it contains text) to make it legible on most backgrounds.
FYI, the widget layout is different for the epic, which is why it wasn't showing up the same on the note.

I love weather apps, but I've yet to find one that I really like that much. A lot of them are pretty good, some have this function or that function but none of them seem to have everything.
Anyway, years ago I used an app called PocketWeather on Windows Mobile and used a skin called Wonder Skin. It looked like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Notably it has humidity, pressure, forecast, current conditions (inc wind), temperature graph etc.. It had everything at a glance, I rarely needed to look into the app at all for this.
Most weather apps I can find today just have some current info, mostly seem to be clock widgets + some weather info.
Anyone seen any weather widgets with more details on them? I don't really want to get into the complexities of making my own with something like UCCW but I'm pondering it.
Thanks!
I played with UUCW, just built-in functionality.... Its weather providers suck, plus no more information than I already had from other things.
I guess I'll eventually just do it entirely in Tasker/Zoom.
