So like some of you I am still on the virgin mobile firmware. Haven't really had any issues with data connection or anything(one of the lucky ones I suppose). But anyways like many of you I am contemplating on getting the new Evo LTE. I was just going to give my 3d to my wife if I went that route. Question is, would I have to revert everything back to the Sprint firmware or would they still be able to activate this phone as a Sprint phone. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks

Does anyone know anything about this prl? I've been using it for about a month, and get very good data speeds using it. But, I don't know anything about it, and I don't wanna get in any trouble over it. Could someone please enlighten me?

That is a Verizon PRL, and while you won't incurr any additional charges from Sprint for using it, you could end up having your contract terminated.

Okay, I can see that if I roam a lot, but my phone is never in roam. So, if i never roam, do you think I will still have problems using the prl 000001?

While you are in the 000001 prl you are always pretty Much roaming you just don't know it. be careful...

Yep, your phone is on Verizon full time so according to your device your not roaming, however according to Sprint they see you using a different tower then they brings out the big guns and cancel you like a bad tv show, you might get by for a month or two then you will get the letter of doom.... My advice go to a different prl.....

I spoke with retentions today and they told me that you have to be roaming at least 80% of your bill for a couple of months to get a termination letter. I suggest just using it when u need it. If it is in your house get an airave.

Is anyone having problems with roaming lately? My phone keeps bugging out and saying I'm roaming one second then saying i have full bars the next. Anyone have any idea what may be happening?

Awesome response, very informative.
I had the evo 4g before the 3d and find that I do roam more with the 3d, but never have an issue where it would just switch back and forth like that.

I thought it may have had something to do with that update that was pushed out. I manually updated my prl and profile and it said an update was applied but no change. Rebooted a few times and it calmed down and when back to normal. Hopefully a temporary thing. I have great signal where I live so I bummed me out to see that I was roaming all of a sudden.

I have had the same issue with the 3D as well . I can be in a Sprint coverage zone and it will jump to roaming for no reason at all . I can honestly say my EVO 4G never did this . Dont get me wrong I like the 3D but signal issues and so forth Im missing my 4G more and more lol .
is it still working for the 3vo and if so how do i put it on my phone so i can use it, as always thank you for helping me out

Thats the prl that people are using to get out of their sprint contracts right? If that isn't your intention then be careful. If used excessively, you can get the boot.
Wondering if anyone has confirmed this phone on Boost mobile, would love to use it at a cheaper plan then Verizon.

I'm pretty sure you can't flash a phone with a sim card to another provider. Atleast not with pageplus here.

The SIM is just for LTE though. Not too sure how that would limit the CDMA part from working. The OG Inc was able to go onto boost. There's a thread about it in the Inc general forum.
Not saying it would work, just wondering what would inhibit it from working.

You can flash it and it would work just fine on any CDMA network.
You need to take it to someone that knows how to reprogram it by writing the NVs.
Once you do that you won't need the LTE sim card.
Its real simple. Trust me.

Has anyone successfully ported a Rezound over to boost mobile.
I have one and would be very interested..
Currently using an EVO 4g on boost. But the Rezound would be much better..

If you wanted to go to like T-Mobile or sprint, then there might be interest.
