I upgraded my phone to official ics with pc companion. It was working perfectly about one month but then suddenly it bricked. yesterday I had low battery (3 %) and I pluged it in charger and left so and in the morning I saw it's charged and unpluged. but then in 5 min I went back to phone and I saw it's OFF. I wanted to start it and when I pushed power button only sony logo appeared and then black screen, then I removed battery and did that again (did so 2 times) and then when I inserted battery again and pushed power button it didn't react at all. no vibration no screen light. when I plug it to charger it doesn't react as well... so It doesn't react to any flashtool or smth.. please if you can, help me with it I'll really appreciate your help..
p.s I have locked bootloader and was always running official roms..
I think your the 3rd person this had happened on this site. But unfortunately, nobody has figured it out.
I may of had an idea, did you charge your phone under your pillow? As my gets really hot and discharges under mine. So I thought maybe yours had overheated and burnt out?

it was on the opened aria but I've checked already nothing is burned there.. but anyway thanks.. bad that it(brick) comes from nowhere and no solution so far....

it doesn't react to usb even in flash mode (with flashtool ) any ideas....?
Hmm, I had the same problem on my phone.
I just wiped batterystats and it worked fine.
Maybe try that?
Or check your usbcable, or change it.
Or do you use any third party usbcable?

have you tried changing the battery? try finding anyone of ur frens that have the ray and sway their full battery with yours. Since from your previous post seems like the battery didnt charge at all.
I think the problem with 4.0.3 (and cwm) is that sometime it can not charge while off. But I think your case might be different if it is not recognised at all. Can you try borrow someone battery?
I have some external battery charger and I'm charging battery with it but anyway thanks guys I'll try it today.. will find another ray battery..
guys I identified problem.. bootloader is dead.. but it can be repaired with a setool.. I'm connecting phone with using testpoints to pc and windows recognizes it but no other software.. just setool, for what I need some cards and it's paid.. so if somebody can help me with setool please contact me.. Hi, I have a bricked Ray. When booting y can see Sony logo and then a black screen.
No adb nor fastboot can see phone, Flashtool detects phone is connected but can not do any action. Can not acces recovery or bootloader
Is there any chance for me other than technical service?

My phone is only a month old and recently started doing this..
when i plug my phone to the charger it goes straight to kies/ active driving mode/ voice commands
same thing happens when i plug it to computer via USB
and when i power off the device it restarts by itself.. same thing happens when i remove the battery, it starts immediately when i return it without pressing the power button.
My phone is rooted and I can't take it back to the retailer, I don't know if there's any way to unroot the phone so the retailer dont find out that my phone was rooted. I have seen many people online facing the same problem but it seems like none of them have found a solution. if there's any please let me know.

Okay just tell me how to unroot it and make it not visible to the company that my phone was rooted. Anyone?
Just flash your Stock firmware again, you will be un-rooted. Use USB Jig to reset ROM counter if you need.
Regards.
umm thanks for the reply.. is there's anyway i can reset the counter without that USB jig? it's kinda hard for me to get it since my country is almost a warfare now.

...nope...but I don't think you need for it...it seems an hardware problem so I do not think that service people will go to check counter if they find an original samsung firmware on booting

Your country is almost at warfare, and you are more concerned about a phone...
Anyways, you can easily get a 300k resistor. Grab a spare MicroUSB cable, then cut the plug out, plug in the MicroUSB into your phone, then use the resistor and connect to PIN 4 and PIN 5.
You don't need to buy one, just make one.
My friends just bought s2 for 5 days and didnt do any mods on it. So can say his phone is still a virgin. And suddenly this morning his phone can not turn on. Cant get into download/recovery mode. Hold down power button for 10seconds also no use. Is it using Jig is the only way to save his phone beside using warranty?
Obvious one first - sure the battery is charged?
Sounds daft, but seen it happen (and done it myself )

Yes the battery is fully charged
You say "no mods" so why would you think about using a jig?

Jig will only boot to download mode once in download mode its a question of flashing a stock Samsung rom.
5 days old no contest return to seller .

Maybe a jig will work, but there's no backup to reflash.. I'm still jigless, there are many better qualified here than me, but I'm pretty sure a jig won't help if the phone is 100% hardbricked.
Anything at all happen when connected via USB to pc? Again, doubtful it will work, but worth a try
Sounds like a major hardware failure - I'd send it back pronto.
Edit - jj beat me too it. Is the phone new or second hand?
What i mean no mod is everything still running stock firmware original from factory. No roots etc. Nothing happened when attached to computer/laptop using cable data. I also guess its a hardware failure.
Anyways thank you all very much for all the infos. Guess my friend have to use his warranty. Never used my warranty although my phone counter already reached 70 hehehe
what i did when this hapened to me was charged it for couple hours plugged it into pc left it a few mins unplugged re-tried the same thing over and over and eventually pc gave me the connection sound which put a smile on my face which then booted into download mode and flashed stock rom through odin, if that fails to work then get it sent back to seller if it hasnt been flashed modded then a return and exchange/repair wont be a problem at all

Just a question: How is the phone going to get bricked if you didn't do absolutely anything flashing related? Just give it back to the shop and get a new one if it's faulty, before it's too late. Also, maybe the battery was faulty and died; have you tried with another battery?

Hi!
I Have a Gt-i9100 Wich have been running onto a big and very difficult problem..
It started with my battery was drained down to 0% and after that my phone got crazy, when i am NOT charging the charging message goes on and off regardless of witch cwm flashed rom i am using..
AND when i turn my phone off it either restarts OR the battery icon with the charging dots appear..
AND when i put my phone in download mode, NOTHING happens on any computer, it doesnt even "beep" and say that an usb host is connected..
AND when i plug my usb in when phone is on, NOTHING happends..
I have tried to clear dalvik/batterystats, new battery, many different CWM flashable roms..
I have a hunch it has something to do with the bootloader??
When i click "show log" in cwm it says bootloader: 0
What shall i do??
I have even tried a jig but nogo..
And i am NOT a NOOB!!!
So dont come and tell me how to flash or enter downloadmode or install drivers.. i know that..
But i have tried everything please help me..
SOLVED!
It was dirt in the usb port on my phone...
Working flawless now..

My dx had a similar problem, a piece of something metallic (I work in satellite field, it looked like a braid of the shield of a coax cable) got into my USB port on my phone and caused all sorts of very weird issues. Once that was removed everything went back to normal, have u tries to shoot the port with a can of compressed air?

Hi Guys!!,
I have an S2 and sadly while doing an update through ODIN, it was interrupted in between and got "ODIN FAIL " message. After that, I tried doing a hard reset, soft reset and even connecting my phone to different computers but somehow there seems to be no life in the phone. Good news is, I know there is nothing wrong with the hardware(as i got it checked by a technician). I just want to know how to start the phone, just to see the symbol, so that i can have it reflashed.Battery has also been completly charged , yet no change
Model:- i9100
Please help.. you guys are the only ones who can help

1. Is there any sign of life at all in the phone? Can the phone light up at all?
2. Remove the battery for few minutes ( up to 10mins), the try again if there is sign of life)
If after trying 1 and 2, there is still no sign of life in your phone, then you can simply conclude that Your bootloader has probably been messed up, and therefore your device is hardbricked!
Solution 1:
1. JTAG repair
2. Samsung service repair (free if your device is still under warranty)

I don't know what's wrong with your SEUS, because when I start SEUS, first I must choose phone model (X10i), then SEUS ask me to check that my phone isn't connected with PC, and was I backup everything, and was my phone charged over 50%. When I click NEXT button, I get asked to connect my X10i in Flashmode (by holding Back button while connecting USB cable with phone. Then SEUS check my phone for software version, and if there is available update for my phone. Because, there is no available update for my phone, SEUS ask me, if something wrong with my software etc., to reflash my phone with existing update.
And that's it. I always menage to reflash Stock Rom if something goes wrong with it.

In Flashtool thread, under Development section, you have many others complaining on Sin header verification. The main answer is that your ftf file may be corrupted, or you try to flash ftf file that isn't made for your phone or. ..

If the red light is blinking three times.....
Will post this Battery charge "fix" here for you.
This will work on any phone with removable battery. But don't blame me if you do something wrong......
If the red light is blinking thrice, it just means your battery is goind to be dead soon (or already dead may be). So, just put it on charger. I'm not saying it will solve the problem, but you will reach the stage where it blinks once. And then you should be able to charge the phone normal.
By putting on charger try charging like in this video.
Seams like if the battery is totally drained you cant use it in flashtool or seus.
If it did not help you then i might help any one else with battery that wont charge. Or if the phone has a broken usb port.

According to other people ho have tried it still charges when it stops blinking. After some time it should get to a steady red light though.
But don't you know any one else with a X10 so you can try that battery just so you know if it is something wrong with the phone as well?
