Sorry to hear. Then you'll have to use custom widget.
You could try one more attempt with "adb install -r name.apk"
(I'm not sure if -r switch comes before or after install)

Also, Sense Recent Apps based on Lasan's work is done, update available now, flash the IntegratedModv1.zip first, then flash N in 1 Framework Mod v1tov2.zip for Sense Recent Apps Screen.

Note:
Any further update will not include Sense Recent Apps, this means if you want to keep Sense Recent Apps, you must keep in v2 but cannot update to v3. This is because I really think like-p's QuickPanel is better and will change back to use that one. Also, Sense Recent Apps appear buggy, especially in landscape mode.
On the other hand, v3 should will release tonight (13:40 now in Hong Kong) . The update will include like-p's QuickPanel and Overflow (on screen [menu]) button.

This mod doesn't change the notification bar, and I don't think that you can flash .zips in flashtool. But if you install recovery it works on locked bootloader too.

problem (on Xperia Neo) :
*everytime, after I restarted my phone, some installed applications icon are dissapear (or not appear) from the app drawer. The same thing also happened to the shortcuts on the homescreens.
*The apps we put on the dockbar, sometimes won't show its label. It's kinda strange to me. But after awhile using this launcher, then the labels appear as it should be... Hmm

For Rooted version ..Did you flash it? Or installed the apk as normal apk...Coz, it FCs due to non-availability of lib required by it...So, if you installed it manually, also copy the lib to system/lib and set correct permissions...Then it wont FC..
