cool... are there some significant differences between the .29 and the .32 kernel?
I think performance. Good job, KTG Team! I thought your forgotten project never show up (I'm not good in Kernels for now, so didn't start any development in this section, cause You and FXP or DooM are best ). Now let's wait for new version with fixed bugs and here we go! Some new big stuff for X10! This device won't dead .
Best of luck on your effort! I wish to see a 3.x kernel as well, some time in the future for our beloved X10!
Awesome!!! Great work Japanese Brothers!
I wish see the final version
Holy ****, never thought it would happen. Succes developing it, and I hope with help from others it will be stable in no-time!
Hi,all
Locked version is released !!
please report bugs!
cheers

we MIGHT be able to use IF we code the proper usb drivers,
BUT we will always need an external power source
have a look at usb-otg project on nexus one and htc desire
Hi
>championswimmer
if we can change atheros source as a kernel module code, then can compile inline.
higher kernel has atheros modules in kernel config.

Thanks for info.
we're going to fix camera

as 9Lukas5 said, I think so,too.
QSD8250 doesn't have host controller.

ok thnx for info, but what i really want to know is,is it better than stock kernel? and hope u can fix some bugs and the camera soon
and about installation
i already have xrec and root
so can i just flash the kernel through xrec?
does it support overclock?
any noticeable improvements in 2.6.32 as compared to.2.6.29?? i thought that our devs have backported all imp stuff from the later kernals!! is that true?

Custom Kernel:
well, i just took this idea to modify this file, recompiled fixed fxp kernel just for testing and it works! now im on fxp last kernel running minicm7 and everything works fine, no touchscreen bugs, just like froyo
any dev who wants to fix this issue on his kernel just have to replace "cyttsp_core.c" file in /drivers/input/touchscreen with the one i attach below.
all credits to nobodyAtall for the idea
best regards

Stock Kernel:
Update: here is ax8mt module fixed for gingerbread roms on stock kernel, please test it and comment if it works or not, this is made for those who doesn't want to unlock bootloader or prefer stock kernel (it seems that is dangerous to unlock bootloader for some devices)
Download ax8mt.rar attached, it contains ax8mt.ko file, install it as any other module (if you already have it, replace).
The other rar file (ax8mt_src_fixed.rar) is just source code...
Notes:
1- i dont know why is so "big" compared to original ax8mt (100kb vs 10kb) but I tested it on latest gingerdx (stock kernel of course...) and it works fine.
2- I'm not responsible if this bricks your device, but it didnt bricked mine.
3- This version of ax8mt is only meant to be used on CM7 based roms.

We, cypress digitizer users, have this bug in every gingerbread rom, so i tried to make a fix for this using nobodyAtall's idea and this is the result. Any custom kernel with this file will let us have no touchscreen bugs in gingerbread.
In other hand, fxpkernel is just what i compiled to test the fix, but this should work on other kernels (i wasn't able to compile other kernel than fxp's one).
I uploaded fxp kernel compiled by me just to say that i'm telling the truth and if someone else wanted to test.
I'm noob at this stuff, just followed guides and asked google for everything so we must wait for kernel developers to implement this on their kernels.
sorry for my poor english, i hope that is understandable now

actually, when you have a look at the LewaOS porting guide, it's basically downloading a pre made LewaOS and then just copiying/pasting/moving files from the LewaOS zip file to your base rom, thus replacing your old files and making it match LewaOS files..which means majority of the bugs will stem from the base rom...like i remember atis112's Firedroid rom had a video recorder bug and fm radio bug, thus this rom would/may have the same bugs...im not too sure if im 100% but that's my theory ...anyways, im still downloading the LewaOS source so i can make one myself based on my own GingerZaraki (i will/may not share it on xda to avoid too many Lewa roms filling the dev section ) should be fun...but these Chinese servers are seriously slow =_= i started downloading hours ago and it shows i have only downloaded 14.1mb/66.1mb
Headset Not working !
Here app for working : http://toggleheadset.googlecode.com/files/ToggleHeadset.apk
Works good, but i have to say i dont like the interface, music app and launcher...
What else, overall smooth on 729MHz... I used it like 10 minutes cuz its really not as good as minicm7... But yea good work.. Many people R`nt me so a lot of people will like this rom, i quess...
how to identify what based the custom rom is?

After cosmicdan's farewell, Development for xperia play seems to fire up a bit from other developers.
We are working on Stock Ics Firmwire for xperia play( without any lag) and ubuntu for xperia play
This seems to be interesting...
Nice that development continues..
Best of luck

Personally I think Ubunto doesn't stand a chance of running 100% on the Xperia Play.
As for Stock ICS without lag, we kinda have this already to some extent. The OS only starts to lag for the most part when users add their extra stuff/apps.

Sorry for saying your name wrong. Also I didnt realise the Adreno Booster was only GB. Do you guys really think this Rom isnt much better or stable then the stock 4.04 ICS ports we already have (i.e. Mark Phytons .587 Rom)? I was hoping since its a newer firmware and made for the Neo L it would have less lag, bugs, & better Ram.
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
Mark Phytons Rom is very stable & fast, but keep in mind, this was only released a few days ago, im still working on it, im 16, i still go to school, so to keep up with my day to day life & develop on this at the same time, its hard work, so sit back & wait
im 16 only too
but when i start a development i always get bootloop or blackscreen
youre development is good

No problems. Sorry if I sounded demanding in any way with too many requests. I just meant at some time we may find a CWM flashable zip to be useful. Actually you are the OP/ "dev on-the-case" so if you want I can send you the system dump from this firmware since I already extracted the FTF via PM or reply here. Obviously its easier to merge fixes & your improvements.

i can make a fix for Touchpads for this Rom when you will.
Hello community,
First things first...
I'm opening this thread for developer discussion ONLY. There will be a separate thread for releasing this kernel and for user feedback, etc. Please RESPECT that and keep this thread only for developer discussion. This is only for development chat - nothing else.
To report bugs, questions, etc (NON-development stuff) --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2247466
As you might already know, I've been working on getting 3.0 booting for our devices with success. Progress is good, but as expected there are bugs here and there that need to be sorted out.
Current status:
- Some components (e.g. charging and camera) have to come from SEMC .32 sources (which are not bad anyways) - this is ok
- Most other stuff are updated from later sources
3.0.x
- Based this kernel on M7630AABBQMLZA404033I CAF tag. It's the latest tagged release for this arch and is linux 3.0.8.
- Rebased on ics_chocolate branch
- All mogami devices are fixed almost completely. There are bugs here and there as with all software.
3.4.x
- Based this kernel on M7630AABBQMLZA40901040 CAF tag. There is no tagged release for this arch for 3.4. msm7x30 is not officially supported any more.
Goal:
- To stimulate kernel development discussions and get all 2011 devices completely supported.
What's needed:
- Developers to pick up on a device they have (there's no point trying to port a new kernel without having the device, please don't do that) and make the needed changes for fully supporting them.
- Look for bugs and instabilities and fix them
- Propose enhancements and patches
Some rules:
- I will not be accepting patches blindly. They must be tested and verified to work without affecting other devices. Plus, these are stability-targeted kernels
- If porting from .32 is needed (i.e. after evaluating that new CAF drivers don't work) changes should be kept minimal and close to CAF. This will allow for further upgrades
- You can fork as much as you like, but please contribute back so that all devices can benefit! This is open source in action.

Android 4.x should all be compatible. No need to rebuild rom or anything. Just make sure you use a CM ramdisk.

All 2011 HDPI are very similar (except zeus). DooMLoRD has taken these two, because he own them.

There are much more needed for zeus board besides the configs... it will take some days to have something working. Mogami on the other hand should be easier.
