Hi, I have this ported to the fascinate and was wondering if anyone with some experience would like to maintain further updates to this.
So far I do believe everything is working (calls,sms,mms,bt,wifi,gps,etc..) and it has a lot of neat features that have not been seen before, including the new PAL!
I will upload and provide a fully working zip if anyone wishes to take this on. Again everything works that I know of.
Preview Release
This is a MTD ROM, so all MTD rules apply! (ie: no 3 finger & must already be on mtd)
Since I did not post this in the Devolopment section please feel free to discuss and/or help each other.
Not a complete list! Might be more!
Not Working:
Portable wifi hotspots (Wifi tethering) Bluetooth tethering works though!
Camera does not record video
Bugs:
Choppy video playback
I recommend giving it about 20 seconds before clicking Start!
Includes: Gapps,CarHome,ROMManager & Terminal
Launchers: Trebuchet & NovaLauncher
All Pre-Glitched via prebuilts for your pleasure....
There may be other things that I missed but seems mostly working!
Flasher assumes risk:
First flash: Wipe Data!
1.1 to 1.1a and vice versa: Wipe Dalvik-cache & cache!

I've been running 1.1 for a bit and all seems good! Almost seems like daily material but don't wanna well ya know...
Post a link!
This looks like a really neat ROM! Can you post a link so I can try it out?
P.S. Thanks for not posting this in the dev thread so noobs like me can edit it!

umm... I suppose I could post a test link? My upload isn't the best but I'm gonna get some grub and let it upload. I'll check back in awhile and hopefully post a test link here in the OP.
Dev-Host hangs at 99, tried it twice! Trying a different place now but if it don't work it's my last attempt for the night quite possibly!
Upload worked so there is a link up...
Also again while uploading I noticed video playback wasn't working, so there may be something else I missed. I do have video playback fixed though!

Yes video playback wasn't working which means video recording might not be. Also Camera does not have flash and a few settings missing. Regardless I have all of them taken care of now!
Maybe there was more I don't know way past that build now...

Nice Work
This ported version of PARANOIDANDROID won't boot on my roomate's Fascinate but when I flash it with the version for the Vibrant, his Fascinate boots and it works. I also have to flash Icy Glitch Beta 6 kernel for Fascinate to get this ROM working. The only problem is no data or 3g when using this method. I have a Vibrant and this ROM is awesome on it.

Weird
I wonder what I could be doing wrong? I've done a complete wipe and even formatted system and data. I was able to get CM9 SKANKWICH 6/1/12 working with no issue and the Vibrant version of this ROM with ICY Glitch Beta 6 Kernal for Fascinate working. I haven't ran accross an issue like this before. When flashing this ROM on the Fascinate, the phone just boots right back into recovery for me. I had an issue with the phone and had to Oden it back to stock. I'm gonna give it another shot and see if I can get it working. Any tips or suggestions would be great. One thing I did notice was on both the Fascinate and Vibrant, is that when playing flash video in the browser, the browser becomes unresponsive when I select fullscreen. I tested multiple sites that use flash video and everything works great until fullscreen is selected. Youtube app of course works fine, even in full screen. Thanks for all of your help and this freakin' sweet ROM. You rule.

Sorry no tips. Never had that happen before and I've put my phone in some pretty tough spots.
Thanks for the spot on flash, I personally haven't tried that yet. I haven't even had market on my phone for months.
But again I'm on 1.1a I think, several little clean-ups n fixes! I would maintain it possibly but I like source.

Like many people I have to have my phone as a daily driver. I love the MIUI but its time to put the experimenting to the side and get back to 100% functional. I was wondering if someone could debloat and debing the latest offical Froyo ED05. Also no one has ever said whether or not there is anything good about the kernal included with it. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could do this. I'm sure others would to. I will continue though to mess with the CM7 / Miui stuff but I just need a fallback rom till they are 100% stable and Functional.

I was actually working on something like it, but I kinda stopped once JT's Vanilla Gingerbread ROM came out. So far, I got the ED05 base deodexed/debinged/zipaligned but I have encountered some issues like the camera and voice search force closing due to some compression I added to the APKs, which I can fix. It's a simple ROM that doesnt have a lot of mods and such since it is my first time making a ROM. Not sure if I should keep working on it or not because I only did it 'cause I was bored, but now I'm lazy

I'm sure numerous people would appreciate it. I know I would. Really all I want is a stripped down rom with basically nothing in it. I think there are enough launchers, apps, and themes out there that we could use to customize the ED05 release to how we want and be able keep out functionality until a rock solid CM7 /Miui is released. If you decide to give up on what you have started please feel free to send me what you have so I may proceed on.

I probably might release something tonight or tomorrow. Just gotta back up my phone so I can test it out, I think I fixed whatever I broke. and as for the script, I had to kang it too, but after looking at it for a while it doesnt seem that hard to make one.
Also regarding kernels, there are no custom kernels yet, so no Voodoo lagfix, color, or sound and adding that is way out of my league.
That would be Great! As far as the kernal goes we may be able to get away with OTB 1.6 for a while
There has been rumor that ED06 will be released. My phone, brothers, girlfriend all still have missed calls, texts on ED05 stock.
Just mentioning this because if ED06 gets released then there will request for a debinged/debloated.

That would be sweet as well... but I've seen rumors last for years. It's better to just work with what we have.
What isn't 100% functional in MIUI and CM7 at this point? MIUI is on both the fascinates in my house, and everything has been fine for me?
Well, it looks like my Dropbox account is gone. Can't log on to it or anything...great. As a result, I'll attach some screenshots of what I got so far. It's a simple debinged/deodexed ROM (mainly because I'm new at this, if someone wants to theme it/mod it later on feel free) with busybox added and it's prerooted. Contains Launcher2 from SuperClean and debinged ED01 browser, AOSP Music and Car Cradle, Spare Parts and Google Maps added. I'll upload it later so some people can try it before I fully release it.
Edit: also has latest market.

At this point CM7 and MIUI is still lacking on the sensors being spot on (ex: tilt sensors) wanna know what I mean go install aTilt Labyrinth. You will see what I mean. Also you have the phantom ring and low call volumes. JT has already stated that he had no intention on fixing the call volume untill there was a gingerbread source. Some other small issues but neways.

I am NOT tri-booting. The ICS that you saw was Evervolv and it was broken. I removed it right after making that video. I will NOT EVER be booting two different versions of Android on the same device.....EVER.
A grateful thank you.
Rev, I would like to thank you for your great tutorials. I watched your cm for dummies several times before I got the nerve up to possibly brick my new TP. Needless to say I didn't! I am running Xron 2.9.1 and plan to flash ICS once its a little more mature. I watched your video on flashing Xron and fixing the prop.build and both helped tremendously. So thank you.

I am awaiting your ICS vs. CM7 review, but since you made the X-Ron video you've seem to have gone to CM7... and now ICS (which that I do understand).
Was the xron before cm 3.5? Just curious, I had avoided the alpha till I found your You-Tube and phtt, so straight forward that I did it and no turning back, plus I now understand more of the root terminology. Dual boot's just a plus.
Soon Root my HTC Ineradicable S HBOOT 1.13.0000, now that I have the basic understanding.

I am working on the comparison video this weekend. I'm hoping to get something up tomorrow. There is just so many things to compare that I'm trying to make it worth watching. Check tomorrow evening for it.
Thanks Rev
Let me add my thanks for the great vids. WebOs was fun, but ICS is the tablet experience I was looking for when I bought the TP.
Just an FYI for those of you who, like me, hadn't installed CM7 in a while and got stuck on the command line screen with a device not found message and couldn't figure out what to do next.
Reboot your touchpad into WebOS. Select device info, reset options, then reset (or maybe it's reboot--can't remember). When the screen goes black, hold the volume up button and the device will reboot into a screen with the USB symbol. Now enter the command
novacom.exe boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller2
in the DOS window on your PC and you should be all set (assuming you have the necessary files in the appropriate directories as described by reverendkjr).
When I installed cm9 I felt that same feeling I had when first installing android. But this time having rev's video was a good feeling to be able to follow all the correct steps. Thanks rev

if so, take my first post, fill in the gaps for the link to the direct CM server, download the rom. transfer rom and latest ICS gapps (3/17) to your internal storage. boot into recovery, wipe, flash.
These seem to be working.

Its been decided that we won't use Cornerstone for the foreseeable future. The underlying implementation is not flexible and needs a lot of work.
It is 4.0.4. I forgot to get GAPPS before flashing, so Im downloading that now. It looks to be very AOSP right now. Will update in a minute
Edit- Having a issue with WiFi. I set it up and it works fine. I restart the tablet and it cannot connect and is stuck at "Turning on Wireless". Rebooting again has no effect. Toggling Airplane mode also has no effect.
Edit 2- Dock is working like it does with the AOKP- volume, lock, media, back button, and browser work, the other shortcut keys dont. It charges from the dock. Cameras work fine. Brightness works, but no IPS switch (duh). Overall, very promising! I hope the nightlies continue!

More of his great work is in my post on page 3 . CM7.2, CM10, CM10.1 (4.2.1), and CM10.1 (4.2.2) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2148878&page=3
Looks great. Especially tablet modes and all the customizability.
Ik right and this is just his first port for it. Imagine what the updates will be like. (If there be any)
Anyone tested it? Is it more stable then AOSP and CM 10.1? What kernel does it run?
AOSPA is a nice little move from the occasional CM and AOSP. And don't get hopes up yet, it's still on 3.0.63

After testing it for a few days, I can tell you some of the problems I came across. When rotating between landscape and potrait I experience a little screen lag but nothing serious. Everything else seems to work perfect even the pie style bar and dpi settings in settings.
Edit: Oh, forgot to say that I dont think 10 touch work. I have the firmware installed but it only see's up to 4 fingers.
This doesn't work with the 8gb nook, it just shows a blank screen after the cyanogenmod boot so therefore I don't think it's compatible with 8gb nook and I would appreciate and others too would appreciate if they had instructions on here or compatibility with certain devices so users know what they are downloading.

Thankz for sharing this. I have the 16gb version and works great. I didn't know the 8gb and 16gb was so different besides the ram and memory.
how can I boot it from SD? My nt is cwm-looped and it doesn't boot any system until now. I would to try using this one from SD. Any idea?

And Make sure to install a CM or AOSP Build and Gapps
Thankz to iamafanof

See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36685310&postcount=1, but in steps 4 &5 use PA ROM and Gapps files with "-SDC.zip" suffix from http://iamafanof.wordpress.com/2013/02/14/paranoidandroid-aospa-3-jb-4-2-2-for-nook-tablet-0214/.
Has any one else had troubles backing up the ROM in cwm. I get an error for the boot image when i try.

I've been using it for about a day at home and it works great so far. I am able to stream youtube directly to my smart tv and hbo go works great on the tablet. havent tried netflix yet. play store works too, loving jelly bean so far.
however, the rotation bug (it shows deformed graphics for a second, then rotates the screen) is really annoying. it kinda kills the fluidness of the OS for me. I am gonna try CM10 i think before i decide what works best. I really wish he fixed the screen orientation switching bug. I'd donate if it led to such a fix.

Ikr. If it wasn't for that rotation bug, I would me all over it.
One thing I have noticed. The graphics are more clearer and better on this Rom than the others.

what others have you tried? i have to admit i have just dusted off my NT after a year or so of neglect. I only put the PA3 on it so far, was gonna try to flash SGT7+CM10.1 tonight, should i bother? is there any ROM you recommend?
I do love the clarity of the images when using PA3 (i have no idea if they will differ on others).

Yes. I have experienced the exact same issue with the newest CWM 6.xxx and TWRP recovery. No idea why though.

Try this http://goo.im/devs/succulent/acclaim/paranoidandroid/internal/pa_acclaim-2.99.1-17JAN2013-16-HD.zip .
This Paranoid Android 2.99+. Everything seems the same except for PIE is not in.
Running on a Xperia Go, and I'm getting tired of struggling with my phone, stock firmware was incredibly slow and bloated, FXP Cyanogenmod 9 worked most of the time, when it didn't freeze or just turn off my phone, but now they stopped development.
FREACK's Cyanogenmod 11 works beautifully and fast, when the Wifi or network connection isn't going down 3 times a day
This is not a ***** thread though, I realise and respect the amount of work it takes to port a ROM to an unsupported device. All I'm asking is for a ROM that is not going to let me down, no freezing, working camera and video, working data and network connection, working Wifi, that doesn't lag to hell, GPS, etc. Example, a ROM for daily use.
I just want some feedback, what works for you? I don't need the latest greatest Android port (thought that would be nice) and I don't have time to install and test a new ROM every 2 weeks.
And some of you may ask, what is the 1% I don't care about working? well FM Radio, what is this, the 1950s?
Many thanks in Advance.
Maybe that explains why FXP gave up, this sub is dead...

Hi dude,
You could use the AOSX rom developed by wanxp, that thread is active and almost all the features are working except fm radio, wifi direct and music a2dp, this is the rom that I use atm cuz I hardly use radio and wifi direct.. in fact I've never used those features -.- You could also try Munjenis CM11, but then again the bluetooth fails sometimes! Even though it says that it works properly in the OP. It doesn't. Frankly, the BEST LAG FREE rom that I've come across is the CM9.1 rom! Unfortunately its not available for download anymore -.- and I deleted my backup of it after I ragequit after my Xperia Go broke and I started using my Note -.- But I managed to fix it and I'd like to use CM9.1 again.. Can you please upload it for everyone or PM it to me??

Thank you SO SO much! Haha I see you've decided to stick with CM9! Great choice! I only say that this is the best rom ever is because it doesn't start to lag over time and everything works great(except for radio.. but you can always download an app!) and gaming is great with no lags(I usually test with Despicable Me and Most Wanted2)! So thank you very much!
