my stock clock widget keeps loosing time and stops, i also tryed another clock widget from market place and that also stops at different time of the day, if i restart the phone it will correct its self and i can see it changing but some point when phone in stanby it just stops.
(top left status bar time is always correct)
any ideas people
there was a thread on this somewhere but I had the same issue has day so I just removed the clock widget and re-inserted it and it was all fine. I have it so the phone uses the networks time checked as well
Its a long shot, but if you have some task killer installed, make sure you exempt the clock from it.
dont have a task killer, was useing the standard clock/weather widget thats comes with the phone and that started to loose time, so i removed and installed another and that does the same, very confuseing cus if i remove and insert again will will pick the time up for a while then suddenly stop.
ok I seem to be having this issue again, not sure what is up, :/ happening at lest once a day. anyone else having this problem?
Hello,
I've been having some issues with my clock app; more specifically the alarm. I have a daily smart alarm set with repeat for weekdays only.
- first time it FC'd, and that's it. I woke up on my own seeing the FC message.
- second time it didn't even do anything, no error message, no ring.
- today it started the alarm, but my phone was frozen. The screen was black, and I couldn't wake it up anymore, or shut it down. I had to pull the battery.
So I'm just wondering, is it only me or did this happen before? Should I clear alarm data? Install some alarm app? Update firmware?
(Please don't suggest getting an alarm clock, I expect a phone like this to be able to wake me up in the morning)
Currently I'm running a rooted stock KE7.
Whenever I wake up my s3 from deep sleep mode, my minimalistic text clock hasn't updated since I last turned of the screen. Is this normal? If not, how do I fix it?
Check if any task killers have the app checked. Beautiful widgets did this when my Samsung task manager ran.

I have the same problem on my Galaxy S. Please email the developer. I have sent him several emails, but he hasn't been too responsive, maybe another email from you will help.
Minimalistic Text widgets do not and should not update while the screen is off. If you can't see the widgets why should they continue to be updated besides if they did continually update that would cause wakelocks draining your battery while the screen is off. If you're talking about the delay in your widgets being updated when you turn your screen on that probably has less to do with the app itself and more to do with your system being bogged down by other things. Do you have a lot of screens filled with a lot of different widgets all updating as you turn on the screen? It could also be as slayer621 suggested that the app is being killed while the screen is off so that it has to restart when you turn your screen back on.

I am talking about when I turn on the screen and the clock is delayed, otherwise that wouldn't make sense, lol. Anyway, I've tried having it so it was the only widget in an empty homescreen and it still didn't work. How do I prevent the task manager to prevent it from killing it?
I tried another clock widget, minimal clock widget, it too had delay whenever I turned on the screen. Specifically, it still had the same time on the last time I turned the screen off and updated itself 1sec after I turned it on.
Please email the developer about this problem. I have tried other clock widgets: some have no delay, some have a slight delay, but nothing as long as Minimalistic Text Clock.
Moto C with stock firmware.
Current status: rooted phone. Yet, the problem has occurred before and after rooting.
The clock and alarm app randomly gets stuck, which provokes that the alarm does not trigger. I attach a screenshot where you can see that the widget has the right time, but the status bar clock doesn't.
Sometimes, rebooting fixes the issue for some time (it could be a day or a week). If the time display option, from 12 to 24 hrs., is toggled the clock in the status bar is fixed; alas sometimes it just gets stuck again.
Does anybody have this problem too? Is there any known fix?
Thank you in advance.
So I just noticed whenever the timer is shown on the live space widget on the aod it doesn't count smooth. It stucks after a couple of seconds and then eventually refreshes again by itself or when I tap the screen. Anyone else?
Yes I've observed that as well.
