Morning all,
Love this phone, love love love. What I'm worried about though is the in call volume on headphones. Doesn't matter whether I'm using the supplied Samsung ones or a set of Sony ones the volume is so low that the person at the other end is in audible.
I have no problems with volume on anything else (as in music player on in call volume using the actual phone)
Anyone else experiencing this or am I just very unlucky.
I've noticed this too. When having earphones plugged in the call volume is just too low. Last night I had to plug mine out and xall again because I couldn't hear her properly. Good point

this is absolutely the worst news possible, because i make 99% of all my calls with my headset. you guys are saying it is not usable? most of my calls are on the freeway with loud raod noise.

Not sure about volume with the earpieces with mic that came with the sgs2 but my sony earphones volume was quite low during call. I get calls when I'm listening to music a lot.

this app seems to have fixed it for me give it a try it ups the headset volume over default levels.. works fine for my sgs ii
i think you may need to be rooted to use it but not sure
Does it have HAC mode? Setings > Call settings > HAC mode. I set that on my SGS to increase call volume.

I would like to know about the "HAC" mode to, I wear hearing aids in both ears and it's important to me.

I wonder if this is connectd to another very frustrating problem I've just discovered. When I go out running, I normally have Spotify playing in the background and CardioTrainer occasionally prompting me with updates on how badly I'm doing. Worked fine on my old Galaxy S, now I can't hear the updates over the music because they are so quiet. I've tried fiddling with all the settings, and have also tried Endomondo and SportsTracker and they all seem to have the same problem. Anyone else tried this?

Hey champ, you said this was fixed in the latest update but I just got my galaxy last week from Vodafone Australia and mine has this issue. What update fixed yours and does anyone else know about any fixes?

i'm having the same problem too. i currently use the stock headset, and am thinking of getting a BT headset as i get calls while driving. tried the app, did not help.
can someone one please help? it will be even better if voodoo sound is developed for i9100. *fingers crossed*

Noticed it as well - on headphones Senn PX 100 II - very annoying (have to plug out the phones each time)
Also noticed the volume problem. The overall voice call quality is not great either. Can someone confirm if the apk. fix helped and if it needs the root access?
Many times while calling somebody the ringing sounds distorted.
Also, when the call volume is maxed, at times it sounds like the speaker can't handle it like an equalizer issue or something .
However this is not all the time, just enough to bug me. Is it a hardware defect ? Or att problem ? Anyone else have problems with this, even after updating to 1.83?

The earpiece on my Photon has started to crackle. When I listen to people talk it crackles enough to be annoying. It only crackles when someone is speaking. Anyone else experiencing this?
Mine sounds fine. Maybe you got some moisture in the earpiece?

had this problem a few times when walking into an elevator, I would check this issues against signal strength before worryting too much,
also are you using your speaker at max settings??? all media notifications set to max? have you altered the volume settings or using a secondary app to adjust volume? change the phones volume in root directory???
got the phone wet?
could be all kinds of reasons for this;

Hi mates ! I know that camera problem has been solved. But Im facing another weird problem since .54 update. Sound seems like cracking I'll try to explain exactly what's wrong. When we unlock phone it makes a little sound and when we click on icons also. This sound changes after a while and seems like cracking. Not easy to notice but I swear it makes me crazy. I can fix it for a while by disabling and re enabling xLoud but the sounds cracks again after some times. Does anyone else have this issue ?

It is not noticeable always, but at times when I route incoming call audio to speaker, there is some crackling in the voice heard. Also, when I use Pixie Dust notification for messages this crackling can be noticed at the start of the sound. This is with xLoud switched on. When I switched it off, there is no crackling sound.
i dont have that problem. just camera but fixed...
Sound crackling issue... It's a known bug for xperia Sola... Now for P too?

Is it just me or Z2 speaker is really quiet when doing fb video call. I can barely hear the person I'm talking to.
I don't think it's the app cause in other phones, volume seems to be easily heard.
