[Q] ICS Help! - Fascinate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I think I am running build 9 of ICS rom. The problem is idk how to tell who this ROM came from, what build it is, or who the developer is. My friend flashed this one for me. I am ready to upgrade from build 9 to the latest but I need to know where I stand first. Also, when flashing from build 9 to build 26 or whatever it may be, do I just wipe data/cache/dalvik and flash the rom and Gapps again?
My specs:
baseband version: S:i500.04 V.EHO3
Kernel: 3.0.8- g4dc 1367 [email protected] # 1
CPU: ARMv7 Processor rev 2 (v71)
CM Version: 9.0.0 RCO fascinatemtd- unofficial
Build Date: Tues may 8
build #: IMM76D
Edit: I think I am running Team hacksungs build 10. I first flashed build 2, then wiped and flashed build 10

instructions for flashing stuff correctly can be found here:

you dont need to downgrade, but to upgrade to an ICS stock version, your kernel is for GB and ICS kernel is needed, flash right fastbootfile for ics and your region

[Q] Is it safe to flash rom

Due to the brick bug on my device shown by eMMC app, is it safe to flash an CM10 nightly rom onto it through clockworkmod. I first flashed a siya v5.0.1 kernel on my s2 using odin, ran smoothly, then applied the helly bean custom Rom and everything is running smoothly. But my kernel has changed and the eMMC app is still saying that I have a insane chip.
Details:
i9100
android version: 4.1.2
Baseband: I9100XXLQ6
Kernel: 3.0.15-CM-g39df795 [email protected] #1 Thu Nov 15 16:37:09 CET 2012
CyanogenMod Version: helly_bean_i9100
Build Number: cm_i9100-userdebug 4.1.2 JZO54K eng.dominik 20121115.152944 test-keys
I am still a beginner and really worried that if i don't have the right mod or kernel I will brick my s2...
Any advice,
Thanks!
Yes. Unless you're running an affected kernel & plan on doing a wipe, forget about the brick bug. It's been done to death/blown out of all proportion. No need to worry about it if you're careful/do your research.

It is safe if You use safe kernel, latest releases are safe but always do you reading b4 flashing anything. See changelog and relase info of a kernel developer. Usually it is written there if the kernel is brick bug safe.

[Q] rk292xsdk + Compatible Roms

Hi,
I have a 7" (no name brand) tablet with the following specs:
Model Number: rk292xsdk
Android Version: 4.1.1
Kernel Version: 3.0.36+
[email protected] #4
Fri May 17 19:16:29 HKT 2013
Build Number: RK292X_ANDROID4.1.1-SDK-v1.00.01
rk292xsdk-eng 4.1.1 JR003H 20130517.194424 release keys
Serial Number: XJ18VX4HHF
The tablet has TWRP recovery installed and is currently running Rockchip firmware. Performance from this rom is sluggish and apps tend to freeze/crash. I am looking to install a alternative rom, which will improve speed/reliability and is based on a later Android version. Any suggestions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you require more info about my device, please ask and I will do my best to pass the info on.

Build: 3.36.405.1 CL199109 release-keys

And where to get this?
Many Thanks in advance
