I have tried to change the lock screen on the S3, and it doesnt seem to want to change from the original one.
anyone knows what im doing wrong? or is this a bug?
i go to lock screen options, wallpapers/ choose one, crop/change size,/ save and then on the lock screen i get still the same original one.

Thanks, but don't see how that will help....Not trying to change the lock on the lockscreen.....trying to change the stuck wallpaper that is on the lockscreen..

How can i remove the lockscreen wallpaper? I can set from both gallery or xperia wallpapers (but the gallery ones aren't as crisp as the xperia ones), but can't remove it if I have a live wallpaper, for instance... Does anyone knows how to remove it?

If you need, and have root: go to /data/data/com.sonyericsson.lockscreen.uxpnxt/ and delete the wallpaper.png file.

Unfortunately no solution if you're not rooted. Tried to remove it with adb. No success.

Yes, but once set you can not get it back like it was on first boot with live wallpaper. Also noticed that images gets compressed when you set it as lockscreen background :/

Didn't work for me...that's why I had to do it the "hard" way, by deleting the PNG.
Solved The Same problem
I had the same problem of changing to default lock screen and i did a Settings Reset which solved it.
Goto Settings > Privacy > Settings Reset. After that the phone reboots and the only thing to bother is to correct the time.
Take care not to do the Factory Data Reset

The wallpaper will be removed when you change themes.

I know it's kinda off topic but can we change the lockscreen without a app like use a zip to flash as the go locker ,etc. are kinda slow...?

go to settings->apps->all->lock screen then clear data and force stop it....
now lock the screen and check it back, the lock screen wallpaper is removed

Anyone getting a pre lock screen " Tap to search" screen much like the circular selection screen in JB but with clouds? Its very peculiar since it just popped up today and I can't find ANYTHING about it online. Anyone having the same issue??

I figured out that AccuWeather, which I have installed, has a lock screen you can use and somehow I enabled it. Not sure how, but the lock screen is gone now.
I am running AOKP with Nova Launcher.

When you click the widget, it takes you to a google search page and keyboard comes up. This widget does not accept typing from home screen

You can't type directly in that widget. Maybe your friend has a different widget. The keyboard showing up automatically wouldn't do anything because the widget doesn't accept text.
Also, what I posted is the same as iphone. iphone doesn't have widgets

I just got my Mate 10 pro 2 Days back and I upgraded from Samsung Note 4.
1 Feature of Note was that the Playlist was available even when phone was locked. I fail to find similar Option in Mate 10 Pro with default Music App.
Am I Missing something or it isn't available ?
Please Guide with alternatives and I wouldn't want to root my phone.
And If root is necessary Please guide as well. I am not a tech Retard so I wont take much time. Just first Huawei phone.

You can but with lockscreen magazine.
Go to theme and look if you have magazine unlock for the lockscreen

There is a Magazine Unlock Option in Settings.
That has further three options:
1. Subscriptions
2. Auto Update over Wifi (Enabled)
3. Auto Delete Images older than 3.
In themes I dont see anything Magazine related.

The Player is there, I can change songs. But I am changing songs 1 song at a time.
In Note 4, I had the option of going through the entire playlist that was running.
