Ok, I have PRL 11115 and I get 3G when roaming. Many apps that access data work fine while roaming. However some of them do not. Some say that I don't have a data connection at all. Like Weatherbug, Crackle (and a few others) and while I can text, I can't send picture via sms. All of the settings are set to allow roaming. Any suggestions?

So I just trued to download the tmobile wifi calling app
And duhhhhh. I forgot she's on att.
App opened but says there's a sim error.
What can she do?

The WiFi calling app routes all calls and messaging to T-Mobile's servers, so naturally it won't work on ATT. Uninstall the app, restart, and it should work. Without WiFi calling, I mean.

Lol I figured that much manee
Im asking how to make it work.
3rd party app or something.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
It won't work unless you use T-Mobile, simple as that. Unless ATT has some WiFi calling app I'm not aware of.

I am running evil fascination 3.51. Is there a way to use the internet while on a phone call?

I just tried wifi again, and it does work on wifi. I must not have had a good wifi signal when I tried it before. Still doesn't work with data only though.

You'd need a phone like the thunderbolt to talk and surf without wifi

Seriously? CDMA phones, like the Fascinate, are not equipped to do data and voice simultaneously. You'd have to get a 4G phone.
Until more CDMA phones get the proper hardware/software that allow you to use 2 radio connections simultaneously or until 4G covers everything and Verizon starts using voice over LTE, this feature will not be vastly available.

Alternatively, you could hope that more phones use SVDO modems for CDMA, but since SVDO has been around for a while, and only the Thunderbolt has it afaik, that is probably useless as well.
Anyone have the apn settings. I tried searching but im on wifi at starbucks and cant find the full list.any help would be appreciated.

Try reset to defaults .
Settings->Wireless&networks->Mobile networks->Access point names->(menu key)->Reset to default.
Thats what I did to lose them in the first place. I did it because I was having problems sending mms's.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
You can google the apn for your carrier and manually enter the parameters for it.
Alright I found them. But I still can't send mms's. It just keeps on trying with out succeeding.

I'm running a sense ROM... Its under settings>call>ddtm mode
Yeah, I looked at that in settings and it was not checked. I just did a light re-flash of this rom, and they're still going to VM.

It happened to me, but my issue was extra ordinary since I would get calls with aosp-based roms. I had to take it to sprint and they said it was due to signal handoff issue between towers.

So I have no data plan but I can do picture messages. Sometimes especially when just flashing a new ROM the phone will use data before I can get WiFi or turn data off and data without a data plan is very expensive. So I was wondering of there was a way to break my data connection preferably though a flashable zip (if i hafta reflash it with every new rom so be it) so that it can only use data for mms? Maybe if I do something fancy with apn's? If it makes a difference I'm on T-Mobile.

Taking off the battery cover should work. All of the antennas are in the cover, so removing it should greatly reduce any signal strength and quality.
Well I still want to text and get MMS.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
But nvm its okay T-Mobile just added 500 MBS of data free to my account so no problem anymore turns out that was what it used.
