hi guys
i wanted to install a new official rom so i did factory reset with code and all my images in my sdcard deleted.can i return and recovery them?how?with which app?please give me a link

Check out "Hexamob Recovery Lite *root*"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hexamob.hexamobrecoverylite
Says maybe possible to recover from internal storage, depending if blocks are overwritten etc....
As it's says, you'll need root of you don't already.
Edit: Unfortunately, as you found out, Hard Reset (code) is not the same as Factory Reset.

[Q] help needed, replaced build.prop and phone won't start up now (past boot)

(sorry to the other thread owner as I didn't realize I was in the i9300 forum when I posted my reply asking for similar help)
*** this is a repost from the post I made on androidcentral, with a suggestion made by dmmarck over there ***
Ok, yes it seems I made a mistake and I'm new to this, so apologies. But I tried going in and changing build.prop (specifically ro.camera.sound.forced=0 to get the camera to go quiet when the phone was set to silent) and when I rewrote the file into the system, I ended up with a phone that won't go past the 'Samsung Galaxy SIII' screen into the Sprint boot. I searched around and found that my SBF might be trashed, but at this point I'm unsure as to how to get it reloaded properly.
I am able to get into the recovery (up volume, home button, power button), and may have made a further mistake by formatting the /system. Unfortunately, I didn't make a backup using that utility until AFTER the build.prop problem, so even though I tried to recover using the recovery I made (after the problem), it is understandably not working.
Am I totally screwed or is there a way to get me back? Any help is greatly appreciated.
// dmmarck and paul627g over on androidcentral think if I can get a good samaritan to help me by posting a nandroid backup of their stock L710 setup, I should be able to recover without issues, would anyone here be able to help me?
Have you tried this?

Yes! Thank you for pointing me there, I found that a little bit ago and tried it a couple of times, unfortunately, the bootloader doesn't seem to be broken, so this didn't help me.
I really wish Samsung had the OEM ROM out!
Just found this!! Someone please tell me this will fix things?? And how do I use the file? (am downloading it now, slow download)

hey now, I appreciate what it takes to get to a fix, but I am in a bit of a pickle with this being my only phone and I am new to Android, so what may be a fix is still an exciting bit of news.
I appreciate that this is not the same as an OEM ROM now (with help from here and from android central), so I'm learning. I also understand that this is a problem that I caused by not doing my basic backups as I would any other software work, so please don't misunderstand and think that I am not understanding of what the timeline realistically will be to get to a fix.
Can't you edit the prop build on your recovery and flash it back?

quite possibly, but the recovery was made from the messed up/non-working version, so I'm not sure if that works or not... any thoughts?
I have a solution for you. Ask someone who has a GS3 to make a nandroid, copy it to your sd card and flash it. Viola you should have everything back to normal.
*warning*
Some might deny your request because certain personal information being stored in a nandroid such as gmail accounts, contacts, passwords, ect.

Yes! Thanks! This is the route that we're moving forward on in the androidcentral forums. We're thinking a FACTORY RESET/CACHE/DALVIK WIPE usin CWM will help to remove personal info as best as possible for any kind soul who does this.
I'm pretty sure someone will help you. I would have if i had a gs3(waiting for local stores to get them). I hope everything go well for you.
Come to think of it, couldn't you just factory reset your phone and it will be stock again?

thanks! actually, I have no way to factory reset unfortunately...
By going into stock recovery mode you can factory reset it. It's the same steps to get into CWM.
And if all else fail, root your phone using the odin method by getting into download mode, you'll have CWM recovery and you can factory reset using that.

hmm, I think I'm missing something because I don't have the factory recovery now that CWM is installed (or am I incorrect here?). And I'm not sure if I can get back to the factory reset options now in the state that I'm in.
As far as the odin method, I am already rooted, I'm not sure how I can use CWM recovery to factory reset at that point..
Apologies again as I am new to android and trying to learn! I appreciate you're help!
Yes, you don't have stock recovery because you're rooted. And if you're able to get into CWM you should be able to get your phone back to normal.
In CWM there's a option to wipe data(factory reset), but wiping data to cure your problem is experimental meaning idk what might happen when/if you do.

How about unrooting ?
Using this method
http://www.epiccm.org/2012/06/team-epics-un-root-from-recovery.html?m=1
then going to stock recovery.
Before doing any of this first try using the nandroid somebody might provide for you.

[Q] Xperia Tablet - Re-lashing Stock Help Needed

I am stuck on the Sony blue animation screen after installing a task killer app. It just hangs there. I can get into recovery, however.
I am trying to reflash my stock firmware to remedy the problem as it seems something got corrupted ( I was rooted when this happened). I am in recovery and am trying to flash the latest "US" update to my tab but I am getting the following error."Erohibed update as result of checking version or base sku"
What do I need to do to reflash and get back to stock? I do not have adb access...
Try factory reset. You will lose data and maybe root

[Q] New to rooting i717

I have an AT&T i717 running ics stock rom. I installed cwm 5.0. something and was intending on installing the CM10 JellyBean rom from paranoid. It would not install from sd card. tried another rom from diff developer, same thing. I read that I needed an updated cwm so I tried to flash another, wouldnt work with the version of ODIN i had so i upgraded to v3.07, was able to flash another and then when I went to recovery it stayed in a black screen, reflashed the older version of cwm and now when I go to recovery it will show the main screen, but if I try to install or even reboot it takes the menu away and shows the symbol in the center. Am I just completely stupid? Have I missed something?

Figured it out. Cleared both cache and delvik Cache and did a factory reset. worked like a charm. thanks for the help and I hope this helps others as well.
Just for future reference, also wiping system along with wiping cache/dalvik and factory reset is good practice. Sometimes not wiping system can cause some issues.

Thank you for your help, I've tried to flash my s4 again but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. As I have overwritten some files with my wife's s3 by copying and pasting so when I do a stop flash all my apps and folders are the same. So do you know where I can get the files so I can overwrite them all again and get my phone working properly because if I hold the power, the centre button and up to go into the main reset I have an error message. Please help as I've only had my s4 3 weeks!!!!!!! Cheers Paul
First boot in to recovery mode and select wipe data/factory reset when done i think also there is a wipe nv partition option available.
When both wipe process finished completely then remove the battery and put it again but don't turn on the device, then start the flashing process and leave it alone to completely finish the flash.

[Q] Galaxy tab 10.1 complete restore after custom roms

Hi
I have a galaxy tab 10.1 GT-P7500. I have been messing around a lot with custom ROMs. Now I want to do a proper restore to official ICS. I have the Odin flashable package. When I restore it just using this, my tablet does not want to root again on this stock firmware. I looses root as soon as I flash the root package.
What I want to do is do a complete restore of the tablet. I don't really know much about the bootloaders and so on.
Should I get a PIT file and tick re-partition as well as update phone bootloader?
I have restored an old Nandroid backup and did a factory restore on the tablet but there is something wrong with it. Every now and then the tablet just do a random reboot, but not a complete reboot. The screen goes blank and then back on again. Signal gets lost and everything that I was busy with are gone. I use the Wi-Fi hotspot all the time and every time that this happens I have to turn it back on again.
Anyone who can tell me how to do a proper restore of everything on the tablet?
Boot into cwm or twrp recovery, do a full wipe, not including internal storage, then flash stock ICS again.

after the Odin to stock and flashing the root zip... did you try to update the binaries for the super user app you're using...?
Thanks. Will try that tomorow. Why should I not include internal memory?
After flashing stock ICS, the superuser apps did not work at all. It tried to update binary, but kept on giving errors.

Because your important files are there. Unless you don't care about those files or you've backed up in your computer, then you can wipe it. I've seen people wiping their internal memory blindly and then posting "Help, my photos/videos are gone!! Is there any way to recover it???" Which is why I said not to wipe your internal memory.
Regarding the superuser, what error did it give out?

I can't remeber the error that superuser give out.
I have flashed stock ICS now, but when I try to load the update file which I always used to root it, the stock recovery give an error saying unknown path for sdcard(photo included).
I have formatted all the partitions using CWM before reflashing.
This also happened before I started using my old backup again. Do you know why this will happen? Should I try to repartition the device or something?

After flashing stock ICS, you did make sure that it booted well and let it settle first right? You can't use stock recovery to flash things. Flash cwm recovery first then flash the update zip.

First, check to see if the su binary is in /system/xbin or not. Download terminal emulator, then type su and see if it works. If it says su not found, it means the su binary is not installed. If so, try flashing the SuperSU zip (https://db.tt/18JKy062) and see if it works.
Edit: OK never mind, I see you solved it.
