So the default wallpapers of the S3 are scrollable and choosing them doesn't give that crop thing, so how do we put our own pic in that wallpaper folder?

Tried using d stock (images) wallpapers for lockscreen today..(which are stored by default under Wallpaper Gallery).Couldn't find an option 2 select those.Can use them for homescreen wallpapers...but to use them for lockscreen it doesn't provide an option.How to use them for lockscreen?
Hmm, seems you are not on KF3, cause in KF3 there is Wallpaper Gallery included in Lock Screen wallpaper option. Anyway, you do this,
Go to Wallpaper gallery under Home Screen wallpaper, then select Wallpaper gallery, select a Picture, Set wallpaper, then click on the Portrait mode, Save, you will be asked if you want to set the wallpaper for Lock screen too, click Yes, Done

Thnx...job done..still a lil compromise.. as in portrait mode d entire picture can't be selected.But newayz can use those imagess now for lockscreen
For Lockscreen 480x800 picture is appropriate, you can't use a scrollable wallpaper for lockscreen as you can't slide/scroll it unlike Homescreen

You mean like Live Wallpapers? They are not really simple gifs... but one of the easiest ways to create one is with http://www.livewallpapercreator.com/

Animated GIFs are not by default supported in Android. It takes custom code to make them work.
I'm running Omega ICS and using Go Launcher.
Want to save the custom wallpaper on my Lockscreen as a jpg or png file, but do not know where it is stored. Any idea?
Else I could save it if anyone knows an app/util that will save the existing Lockscreen Wallpaper? I have used the app Wallpaper Set and Save to save the Home Screen wallpaper, but cannot find a similar util for Lockscreen.

You mean you need the stock wallpapers??
It's mostly in the form of an app. Take a look in system/app. Might be called TWWallpapers.apk (not sure about the name though).

I'm actually trying to either (a) extract the file for my existing lockscreen wallpaper (which is a family photo) or (b) dig into my nandroid backup to retrieve the lockscreen wallpaper.
For either (a) or (b), just knowing the exact location of the wallpaper would be perfect. [[ I'm running Omega v13 and using Go Launcher. Not sure if the launcher impacts the location of the lockscreen wallpaper. ]]
Or for (a) having an app similar to Wallpaper Set and Save that would save my existing lockscreen wallpaper to a jpg or png would be equally useful.

Does anyone know of an app that I can use to let me be able to use any of my own pictures as a lockscreen wallpaper without having me crop them? I have Dodol wallpaper and picture resizer but that only helps for the mainscreen wallpaper.

Is there a way to have separate live wallpapers on lock and homescreen? Or Maybe have one live wallpaper on the lockscreen and a normal image wallpaper for the homescreen?
The stock samsung settings only allow for one live wallpaper on BOTH the lock and homescreen.
