If u don't want to take the risk, then don't do it.
The safest way is using doomlord toolkit, but only for FW .58 or below.
Search it.

It's fairly easy to do.
If you do however f up, you can use flashtool to unbrick the phone.
Just follow instructions, and you'll be fine
You can search the net or XDA for rooting solutions.

If you wish to stay on 0.62 FW; you should unlock your BL and install a modded stock kernel with root and CWM. From there things would be a lot easier rather than downgrade to 0.58 then OTA to 0.62 and so on.
Create a nandroid backup using CWM then you may want to install titanium back up after you have successfully rooted your phone to have a copy of your old original firmware. Save the copy and start modding your phone as you want. About bricking your phone, you won't brick it if you do things right. Always "READ" requirements when applying mods to your phone so you dont end up using your phone as paper weight.

is there any official 2.3.3 roms for Neo V ? I thought Neo V was the first SE phone that came out with stock 2.3.4.If you are talking about Neo beware before downgrading cos downgrading to 2.3.3 can mess up your fuel gauge chip and battery info get messed up
If you are talking about downgrading to 0.42 fw in 2.3.4 then read this Flashtool guide and use 0.42 ftf,you can find ftf file in Neo V dev section stickied threads
Exactly ! There are no 3.3.3 stock neo ROMS
Flash .42 from Wotan and you are good to go
In wotan says no more credit and i cannot use it :S

Hi again,
if you don´t already got ADB Drivers, get this:
wotanserver.com/downloads/USBFlashDriver.exe
And here´s the download link for the Wotan Client :
wotanserver.com/downloads/WotanClient.exe
Sorry for plain Text links,
atm i´m not allowed to post outside XDA Links =(
Just run it, connect your phone as shown and select the Firmware you want
Btw, i had strange problems flashing my phone with flashtool using my Desktop PC,
Flashtool did it´s work only on my Laptop (no idea why).
But Wotanclient worked on my PC too.
Hope this helps

Xperia Mini Pro SK17i Update mystery
Xperia Mini Pro SK17i update is mystery, i update my Xperia Mini Pro to 4.0.4 ICS and i experienced certain inconsistencies, after searching for hours it found that i should repair my update and after that do factory default, i did that and it made my phone much better. Now everything is fine accept one think that making me hate my phone, it's battery backup which is very ugly. It hardly goes one day in mostly standby mode.
If anyone else like me is frustrated with only battery issue or know how to fix it than please reply...

hi guys,
I am quite a noob, and trying to figure this xperia thing, after at last I managed to nicely root and flash my htc.
But it seems on xperia it is all working different. What I need, is generally to delete bloatware, to do so I need root.
But to get root I need to flash a ROM first? In htc it's rooting so that you can flash roms. It all gets me confused.
Is there a way then to root without any weird downgroading/flashing roms?
Agnes
If you are on gingerbread you can root it on older Firmware than .62/.69, otherwise you must downgrade and upgrade again. Just Check out my signature

If you want to remove bloatware apps it's easier to remove them from the zip package before you flash the rom.
Open the the rom using 7zip or similar program (open archive NOT extract it).
Then go into the system folder and there is an app folder (system/app).
The app folder contains pretty much most the app's that are on your rom.
Just go through them and delete the app's you don't want, there are plenty of lists around of safe apps to delete/remove, there are some on here and if you google you will find more.
i dont know how it works...
Guys can u tell me how ?
Step by Step please...
Thanks
