Got safe mode in sony android phone, I also open it before...
Safe mode is actually used to remove the app/files, that caused bootloops in your system.
However, I was not aware of it being possible on 2011 Xperia devices.
Seems like it is possible, but we do not know, how to access it as it is not widely used on Android phones, because it is not needed, we got very easily accessible recovery that can do quite a lot.
So if there is a safe mode, how can we get there?

Just hold back button on bootanimation,if back does not work try menu.
It should work on all roms.

I did it once with the xperia arc, put safe mode in the lower right corner of the screen, always go away after the first sony ericsson logo, but I do not get it in the model sk17i
Safe Mode is there!!

Recovery mode can be accessed by both rooted as well as non rooted devices...
Home + power button should work....
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA Premium App
there is another magical way of doing this
install better terminal emulator and type
Code:
reboot recovery
your phone will automatically go into recovery mode
another way is to connect your phone to the computer and use android sdk tools and execute
Code:
adb reboot recovery
Or maybe you're just releasing the buttons too early.
You should hold the buttons......then see the word "SAMSUNG"....then it will close off again....then you will see the same word.....you should only release when you see the words "Galaxy Ace" appear .

Maybe you shouldn't charge while.getting into recovery mode. Everytime I am charging and getting into recovery mode, it won't work. Or just spam home button when its booting up. That's what I always do.

Im far from being one, and not trying to act as one. Most forums, along with this one, follow some rules, and some procedures need to be done.
People need to start using search buttons. I am here to help, but im not here to help people who cant help themselves in the first place. This is a forum, not kindergarten.
same here cant get the fastboot to work with the up/down volume key

Volume up goes into fastboot, volume down goes into SEMC recovery. You have the phone switched off, and while pressing the up button you connect through usb, If that doesnt take you to fastboot you have a bootloader locked device. Search for more info.
i think that i had unlocked the bootloadrer i used the test point method with s1tool( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1285285 ) it didn't gave me any error message, it looked like it worked fine, tried volume up volume down even the home button and various combinations of it... the volume buttons load the CWM and if i restart holding the volume up key it boots into charging mode...
but maybe i didnt get the bootloader unlocked, will try to unlock it later maybe i should try another unlocking method?
update my phone says Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No so the bootloader is unlocked but i cant enter into fast boot mode, why is it?
it's an already answered qstn

sir,
when i connect my phone in fast boot mode the blue led glows, but my system says device does not recognized ....
i tried changing ports , they all work fine with any other devices ,even when my phone is in data storage mode ....
but in fastboot mode it says device does not recognised.....i reintalled all the drivers....also its win 8.1 ....and my phone
runs on cm11 ..... or else if you could suggest any other method for flashing kernel ....
thankyou
I know this has been asked dozens if not hundreds of times, but it seems everyone has bricked their phone by rooting.
My phone has never been rooted, and I have had it working fine for at least 9 months now.
It was working all day and when I got home from school I plugged it into the charger the same as every night and when I woke up it was stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy III" screen.
I have no idea how to fix this please help, I cannot get into recovery mode it just says "recovery 'something'" and disappears quickly then shows the Logo Screen again before shutting off.
I can get into download mode and I guess I have to start from there.
I don't want to do a wipe without at least getting into it in safe mode somehow and backing up some things, please help.
Oh and if it helps no new software was added since the last reboot, the only thing I could think of that changed from it working fine to this morning was my alarm? It was supposed to go off sometime in the morning maybe that froze it up? Other than that I have no idea why it would brick all of a sudden

you're stuck in safe mode because your volume down don't work and the answer is no you can't
the purpose of safe-mode is exactly that no user apps are opened. It's not a mode you should permanently operate in
you should repair your phone

i discover that i can open apps trough android stuido i create a hello word apk and run in my phone but i dont know how to open whatsapp.apk in android studio
Hi all ! Mods please move the thread if its wrong place, excuse my inexperience
I have an old phone made in 2014 , LG-P705 . Recently i have realized i had much much important files in it .
Whatever.. The problem is the phone's screen was cracked completely tried to fix it , bought a screen from chinese market then i gave up on it in 2014.
So we have a phone that LCD screen won't work at all. But the motherboard has not taken any damage. I charged the phone and it is alive. It vibrates when i turn it on and off .
i want to boot this phone and take the important files out. Is there any possible ways that we could start it guys ?
I have some ideas but not enough knowledge nor i am geeky about this stuffs. I think we could do a kind of a "mirror" between the Computer and the phone so that we will be able to see the files from the computer. Will it work ? Will we be able to see the files in it from the pc without using the screen ?
I am open to ideas. I need some geeks around here
.

Do you have a custom recovery installed on it? There's a chance it has mtp enabled. If you're in luck, starting it in recovery mode will have your phone boot up in an USB connectable mode. So if you can hold volume down + power, give that a try, wait a minute for it to boot in recovery and try connecting it with a USB cable. It's worth a shot.

Yes i probably do have custom recovery installed . I poked up with it at the time it probably has custom Rom and that android interface which lets you to get into the othercustom roms. So yeah.
I am currently using an iPhone ever since, So the current android charger is partly broken i must hold it upwards until it function properly. I will update it when i get a new charger . I may order some touchscreen plus LCD if i could find .

An iWhat? Never heard of it. Must be some fake knockoff [emoji16]
Oh and if it doesn't have mtp enabled but you can access ADB (check with 'adb devices'), this command should work:
Code:
adb shell svc usb setFunctions mtp
If not, you could probably pull files manually. I'm not sure if it works on folders but it would look like something like this:
Code:
adb pull /storage/emulated/0/DCIM
Path could be a lot of things like /sdcard, /mnt/0, /mnt/sdcard, etc.
