I have a problem with flashing.. I try to flash my neo but it shows this:
03/031/2012 16:31:10 - INFO - Phone ready for flashmode operations.
03/031/2012 16:31:10 - INFO - Start Flashing

Then nothing else happens.. I tried flashing different .ftf files but all stop at some point
that's not a problem i think, ignoring this file is OK, the rom still works,
while for me, every time i flash a new rom I would see this message.
asd
The problem is that the flashing stops It stays at 4% and nothing happens with most .ftf files.. When I flash MT11i_MT15i_4.1.A.0.562_NORDIC_BASEBAND_70.ftf it says that it's flashed successfully but when I try to turn on the phone nothing happens..

HELP1! I've flashed ST18i_4.1.A.0.562_(1252-5332).ftf on my ray with Flashtool and it started and worked perfectly. I tried to install CW with SEextereme tweak installer but when it tried to reboot my phone it stopped at the Sony Ericsson screen. I cannot go into the CW.
I tried to restore my phone with flashtool with ST18i_4.0.2.A.0.42_(Central-Europe).ftf but it doesn't boot again. I tried with FlashTool_0.2.9.1_FOTAUnbrick.exe but still no success. Help me fix my phone or my parents will kill me because this is the third time it gets broken.
If this helps my ray is sim locked and with locked bootloader.
Thanks in advance.
Im' not sure whether SEextereme tweak installer can be used for ics, probably that's the problem. Why would you use fota unbrick? you didn't unlocked the bootloader rite?
basically there is 2 things you did wrong my fren:
1. Install CW with SEextereme tweak installer --> did u make sure that the tweak installer work with ics? in order to install CW u need to have root. Tweak installer probably uses the exploit on gingerbread not ICS
2. I tried with FlashTool_0.2.9.1_FOTAUnbrick.exe --> this one is a definite no. If im not mistaken this fotaunbrick only applied to phone that tried ota update after unlocking the bootloader on their phone.
Please specify the condition of your phone right now. Is it totally dead? when you turn on the phone what led color turns out? red, blue or green? Have you tried enter into flashmode to see whether it detects or not?
Flashmode= press vol down while connecting your phone to the computer
if what i'm suggesting is wrong, please correct me
be open to the bootloader
changed the kernel (xray v6)
go to recovery
factory reset
install zip from sdcard (custom rom)
In other places in the forum it's written that SEextreme tweak installer works with ICS and yes i had my phone rooted. I also read that this problem might occur on bricked devices and thats why i tried the Unbricktool.
my phone can connect in flashmode, but not in fastboot since i am with locked sim.
it does vibrate when i press the on button but it gets just to the sony ericsson screen and nothing more. I cannot even go to the recovery.
i've flashed firmwares with pccompanion, flashtool but still no sucess.

how long did you wait after flashing?
if you're still getting the sony logo then it's not really a bad case. only problem is you have a lock bootloader.
PC companion will not let you to repair installation?
use flashtool again with ST18i_4.1.A.0.562_(1252-5332).
Else you need to unlock the bootloader, and flash a new kernel.

I tried flashing the ST18i_4.1.A.0.562_(1252-5332) with flashtool and i waited about 2 minutes. It's still not gettin further than the sony ericsson screen.I aslo have tried this update service but still no change.
My bootloader has never been unlocked, so are you sure this is the problem and i nave to unlock it?
Check if you are able to use the phone in flash mode
Dude, your problem is pretty strange. I have done the same steps and worked flawles. Have a cable pluged in to the computer and then hold the vol- on the device and plug it. If you have a green LED thats cool. Go to wotanserver.com and find your ST18i. Scroll down and you will see the firmware flashing software. Download USB drivers and Wotan Client. Find someone with a credit card and get a firmware flashing credit for 2 euro. I think that will work. The wotanclient is easy to use and does not require anything else than flash mode for your phone. I hope i have helped you. Btw have you checked if toy have fastboot mode ( hold vol+ and plug in to computer)( I should see a blue led) if you dont see then pm me

please flash ST18i_4.1.A.0.562_(1252-5332) again with flashtool 0.7.0, tick the box of "Wipe User Data", "Wipe Cache" and "No Final Verification Check".
Then the "Sony" logo will appear, not the "Sony Ericsson". Then the "Xperia" logo will appear. After that, try to wait araound 10-15mins.
Please post the log from flashtool. Easier for us to analyze what has happened.
The good news is that ur phone still can boot into flashmode. And you dont need to unlock your bootloader for flashing. The only importance of unlocking your bootloader is basically the ability to flash via fastboot and flash custom kernel. That's all.
I did exactly what you told me but this time it got stuck on the SONY screen

Do i really need to unlock my bootloader to fix the problem?
Is there a solution without this because and if not how did it happen so i don't do it again?
Please answer the questions people ask here. You said you waited only 2 minutes after flashing ICS? You do know that everything in the phone gets reset, dalvik-cache gets wiped and it takes up more than 2 minutes for the phone to rebuild everything before it completely boots up?
If you did wait more than 10-15 minutes and you still have the problem, sorry, then i unfortunately don't know a solution.

IMO, you don't need to unlock the bootloader since CWM wipe all is basically the same with "Wipe User Data" and "Wipe Cache". So ur doing a same thing by flashing with flashtool with the "Wipe User Data" and "Wipe Cache" box tick. Did you try flash using official software like SEUS and PC Companion?

im assuming that u have already unlocked the bootloader on your phone since ur running a custom kernel. Have you tried flash using fastboot command?
after following what the guy above me said, please confirm if you are getting the Sony logo or the Sony Ericsson logo.
and yeah, minimum wait time after flashing is 5 minutes.

i was trying to update my oldu baseband but i couldn't and worst thing is my phone isn't responding me. (i unlocked bootloader before and i was using cm9)
First of all the links in FXP signature for baseband.i wanna install fxp baseband. Please somebody can tell me which one is Neo Baseband because i cant find MT15i in there.
I couldnt found "MT15i1 baseband and i flashed "MT15" using flashtool and everything goes down. when i pressed power button, sony image appers and restart itself. And than again sony image and restart itself. i try to flash generic baseband but same thing. i dont understand one thing. why the baseband which i downloaded from fxp signature is opening with sony image? Before i did this, my phone is opening with free xperia project image. Which baseband should i install?
And than i'm trying to install kernel but fastboot(cmd) cant do. it's saying "device waiting". When i plugged phone to computer its starting in fastboot mood i mean when i plugged the phone while pressing back button, green light is running and i can flash baseband. But when i try to connect while pressing menu button it's not responding. i mean i cant get blue light on phone's led. what am i doing wrong. i tried nearly every think. And my phone is still same. Opening with sony image and restarting itself. My problem with menu (blue led) button can be related to drivers. Becasu when i plugged phone to computer, computer says "unknown" and i downloaded all adb and other drivers but i couldnt install driver. i did this before and i was installed sa0102 or something like that but i cant find it now. i think i know something wrong. i'm trying to install baseband with flash tool than i'm trying to install kernal with fastboot. but i cant see blue led from my phone. i cant reach fastboot mod. can i install kernal with flash tool. or which baseband do i install with flash tool? And what should i do for installing kernel?

Guys I am in great trouble after doing a mistake. I didn't know doomkarnel is not for ICS. I flashed DoomKarnel to my Xperia S with flashtool. My phone was running on ICS 4.0.4 latest firmware. After flashing the karnel I couldn't make my phone working, it just stuck on the doomkarnel logo if I want to switch on my phone. Then I wanted to flash a generic firmware with flashtool to solve the problem. I have downloaded 6.1.A.2.50 firmware. But I can't finish the flashing process. It stuck after 2% of the total progress. here's the flashtool scenario:

here the system stuck with 2% progress.
The things you may wanted to know:
1. My phone's bootloader is officially unlocked by me.
2. I understand flash mode(green led) and fastboot mode(blue led) well.
3. Every time when flashtool prompts me to enter the flash mode I do it according to the correct way.
4. the green led indicates that batter is ok here.
Now What will I do now? How can I make my phone working again? Advanced thanks.
Oww.. Now this phone shows the SONY logo and after that a triangle with an exclamation mark (!) appears. Then it restarts..

Download the fastboot drivers onto your computer and install them. There's posts on how to do that, or I can just tell you if you need me to. Then just flash advanced Stock kernel using the fastboot command and your phone should boot up like normal.
Wait, is yours a locked or unlocked bootloader?

I guess you have the latest Flashtool version right?
Do these...
Use a version older to flashtool. Latest one has a bug, Androxyde has already posted a fix for it.
Flash any ftf.
Don't use doom kernel its for gb, so flashing will end up in sticking at logo.
Use advanced ics kernel by arkamar/Xperia sspeed kernel by krabapel/xsx kernel by Mericon.
Done....
uhu.. Prom isn't solved.. I have flashed Advanced Stock ICS kernel successfully but the result is same. after showing the sony logo a triangle with a exclamation mark and a touchphone icon apeear.

I'm trying to go back to stock firmware but whenever I try to flash any ftf file (I have tried 4 different ones) it gets stuck at 2% when processing amss_fs_2.sin
anyone know what I may be doing wrong ?
EDIT: think I've figured out my problem.
I think its to do with the new version of flashtool , I installed the 0.8.5.0 version and flashed the ftf again and it has flashed FTF fine.

Hi.
Today I wanted to install this rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/u-development/rom-infinityrom-xperia-v3-released-t1946478
I had installed many roms in my device, so I know how the process is, also I followed the instructions of the thread, but something that I find strange is that in the Zip that I downloaded there's no a .img file, so I guessed that it was not necessary using the Flashtool for installing this rom.
I entered in recovery mode and made the wipes, installed the zip, and rebooted the device, but when my phone turned on it showed the Sony logo of my previous rom, and just that, it just freezes in that logo and nothing happens :crying:.
I'm so worried, please, can you help me?
It's for locked bootloader, so the correct kernel for an unlocked phone is one for stock {ICS|JB} depending on what that ROM is based on

Just unbrick it with flashtool and the stock file ! (because if you didn't touch the kernel , there's should be nothing to worry about. )

Tick "no final verification" checkbox and flash. If still cant, try to download other .ftf preferably WORLD_GENERIC version.
