ICS flash player woes.... - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have had my I9100P now for a couple of months and rooted it as soon as I got it.
I am generally pleased with it but am irritated by the flash player because I cant have a rom that does everything I want to do....
I can have an AOKP based rom and the iplayer runs buttery smooth in the browser and full screen but no MHL to HDMI working.....
or I can install a Samsung based rom and MHL to HDMI works but the flash player performance in the browser and fullscreen is really laggy and unwatchable.
Is there anything I can do to get the best of both worlds ? Is there anyway of making the flash player perform properly in a Samsung rom ?

Flash video playback laggy

I run Overcome 2.1.1 with pershoots kernel on an overclocked tab (1,4 GHz). Everything is fine besides flash video playback. Quadrant score is above 3.000.
I tried the videos from www.gamestar.de or www.laola1.tv. Preroll-ads are being played flawlessly but the real video is laggy and stuttering (music/speech is fine). I tried both the stock browser and Dolphin HD.
Any ideas? Thank you very much!
it does that to me too, for examle @ gorillavid, it continously looses framerate throughout the video 'till its unwatchable, but thats just because the certain servers i'd say
Hi!
My 2 cents:
I can play flash video on the tab and on tv without lag with the original rom and kernel 3.2.
But if I install pershoot kernel or a rom without the original kernel I get some lag
It gets worse if I conect the tab to the tv with the hdmi adapater.
Has anyone experienced the same?
Everyone can watch flash videos without lag or drpped frames?
I can with the stock rom, but can't with the developed roms

[Q] Phone locks while playing videos in full screen!Help??

So i am running Resurrection Remix v9.1 (ICS 4.0.3) in my galaxy s2. Everything is good, except that when i play a video in any internet browser and then switch it to full screen. The phone locks while playing the video. So its like the phone doesn't recognize that there is a process going on and does the auto-lock.
This doesnt happen when i play videos using a video player or in youtube or anyother app. Just for flash videos in the browser.
Does anyone know how can i fix it? Any Help is appreciated.
ask in resurection remix rom section....
This happens on all ICS roms i think. I have this issue too on the official ICS...
Just checked the Asus padphone video in browser with screen off time set to 15 sec. Watched more than 2 minutes without problem.

[Q] flash player for cm9

is flash player on cm9 working now?? I want to update to cm9 but only if the flash player is working.
What do you mean by flash player? Web content like ads and flash video (as long as its not HD) work fine. They've worked fine since alpha 0.
Sent from my Team A CM9 Alpha 0.03 Nook Tablet
Yes that is what I meant. Thank you! Going to update to cm9 tonight.
You wont regret it, its so much better than gingerbread.
Well I loaded cm9 0.03 on my nook 16gb last night. i liked the format but the wifi was kind of weak and sometimes would not connect. did not have this problem with cm7. also the flash video loads very slow (not trying to watch HD). not sure if this is because of the wifi issue or not. games and everything else looked ok. i decided to go back to cm7. mainly because of wifi issue. any ideas on this issue???

How to get video playing from DNLA uPnP server ?

Recently installed CM9 RC on my SGS2.
I've got MX Player+Codecs installed but can't get video to play over BubbleuPnP or VPlayer.
Music plays from the server fine but video just puts it into a "loading" loop.
Network is working fine and the Samsung Allshare app works perfectly in my Galaxy Note.
Any tips to get this working would be greatly appreciated.
In fact, after further investigation it seems there is just generally poor video performance on cm9. I've also tried paranoid android which I believe is based on cm9 and the video was poor on that too.
Is this normal?
Actually, I've tried a few different ROMs now not all based on CM9 and they've all had poor video performance with no ability to stream from my NAS.
I'll be gutted to have to go back to the Samsung ROM because aesthetically the vanilla ICS ROMs are preferable to me but if the Samsung ROMs perform better then so be it.

AwesomeBeatsV3 doesn't work..

Well i know the equalizer on it doesn't work for sure! So i'm assuming the whole zip doesn't work? I have an Epic 4g Touch running the Re-Calked rom. Can someone give me any insight or alternatives?
A couple of things to consider....
What type of ROM are you running and is it compatible with the Beats installation package?
I ask that question because I use the Samsung G-Note and I was running BlackStar X which is an awesome ROM yet the software was fully compatible with the ROM which is ICS, so I switched to The Collective AoCP ROM and the software works awesome with the stock player which I think is Apollo.
The next question is if the ROM is compatible, will the music player going to accept the Beats audio driver?
I ask that one because the second problem I encountered was it wasn't compatible with PlayerPro, my favorite music player. It doesn't matter what ROM I'm running it on, the music player won't accept the Beats audio driver.
So perhaps try the original stock music player first before ruling out the ROM, then you may want to explore other ROM options should that not work out for you. I didn't want to give up my player and ROM, but I'm an audiophile first, then a gadget man. Good luck bro.
