Ever since I updated to the official ICS my sony screen comes one then turns off then comes on again many times. I have to shut it down to keep it off.
Anyone else with this problem
Not a problem for me.
No problem with mine, but u sure can do a factory reset and try.
If u have rooted ur tablet then try flashing the prerooted ICS again.

Yes..but screen flickering is a universal ICS problem...

M2. the only good came out of the update is the improved Battery life.

try using "ad detector" app from play store, I ve had the same problem and it seems like an app doing this, it was gone when uninstalled the app "ad detector" detected

When I'm on ICS, I found out that the screen turns on by itself. I guess this is why the battery drain so much overnight.
My Tablet Died
i was playing with my tablet and suddenly stuck and i had to reset ..
after that the tablet stuck at the sony logo ... it wont do anything just stuck ,,
i tried to go into the recovery mode and Factory reset but no use ..
i tried to install the ics rom again ...
but it said prohibited bla bla Base something and Sku ,, installation aborted ..
and sometimes the recovery mode shows some weird things ..
Can any one HELP me plz ...
You got yoursel a bricked tablet and its not repairable no since the tab is locked there is nothing you can do, send it back to sony and you will get a new mtb chip and its done, you will get your tab back with Honeycomb 3.2 and all is clear sony is fast it wil take 6 or 8 days to repair and sending, don't worry about your warranty., try to flash a empty rom so the recovery.log won't show any tracks of hacking/flashing by yourself . just an tip good luck with your tab!

No need to panic just yet..
Is your tablet rooted?
take your sd card out and boot into recovery.. does that work? if yes, try factory reset.. then reboot with sdcard again..
If your still stuck then look at the faq on the aio tool thread and followvthe partial brick guide..
It didn't quite work for me as I lost root and and now stuck on the US ICS...but thats ok.. at least the tablet works again..

play store problem
Since I got ICS I can't buy nothing from market. It says always that there is a problem for every app. Instead I can download free apps...
For other apps it says that are not compatible with my device but I know they are...
I didnt root my tablet i didnt do anything to my tablet .. i only do the develop thing on my Sony ARC ... but it wont work i tried to do everything ... boot into recovery .. install new rom its no normal problem .. even when i boot to recovery i got en error hehe ... i think ill send it to sony -_-

I have some problem , sometimes my tablet crash , my solution is reset it .... anybody same problems on ICS 4.0.3 ???? my ICS is Stock ROM Sony

I also sometimes have this "flickering" bug, i think it is just when i am holding the tablet nor really horizontal and even not vertical...
I can live with this but it is still since i've updated to rooted ICS...

i played a game on my tablet , and suddenly my tablet stopped and rebooted but IT STUCK ON THE SONY LOGO ...
i tried to go into the recovery mode and deleted anything but no USE ...
at least i can install or update from the RECOVERY ..

There are many. What is your nbx03_0XX number? Or your SGPT on the back of tab. Find list attached here.

I've got the same problem, I thought it was bricked.
Battery was too low. Even though it was 20%, it dropped to 0% I guess.
Is the light red? charge it till green then turn it on.
my battry is 100 .... but the sony logo is stuck ... i cant do anything ...
even the recovery mode isnt helping
i see lot of errors in the recovery mode

Looks like your stuck in a boot loop.
The only way I got out of my boot loop was to wait for a new update, that turned out to be 4 1/2 months...

If you have done nothing wrong, rooting etc.

Try flash stock ftf ? Or else go to Service center if you failed flash stock ftf ! Hardware conflict maybe

Might have caused excessive drains
Or else,try to flash stock Rom again through flashtool
If that too doesn't help,consult with service center guys!

my xt890 lcd screen and digitizer were broken so i changed them and the phone was working fine for a week, i then wanted to update to kitkat through oem update; everytime i tried it would give me error . i then read that since i unlocked bootloader and rooted my phone and installed cwm recovery i couldnt do an oem update and i had to do a factory reset in order to update through oem, so i did just that ; after the phone finished factory reset and booted i proceeded with oem update while the phone was charging, everything was going fine the file was downloading, i went to the bathroom and came back the display was black, but touch screen was working fine...through more searching i read that this could be from the update, and i should do another reset... since i couldnt see anything even recovery menu. i downloaded moborobo so i can see my screen on pc and proceeded to factory reset ... now i cant even see through moborobo and im stuck. i think im stuck in recovery screen, but no way to be sure , hence i cant get usb debug.Please help.
the last couple of weeks i almost didn't have any cellphone signal and sometimes when i treid to turn on the phone it just wouldn't turn on.
yesterday i had this problem again, but when it finally turned on it got stuck in a bootloop. i am kind of a noob when it comes to flashing and stuf so i deceided flash it using sony pc companion. but i also treid flashtool. i flashed it with stock 4.0.4 ISC but when i turn on the phone now it is really slow and it keeps giving this error that system proces has stoped working. when i pres wait it gives the error again and if i press close it restarts the phone and gets stuck in a bootloop again.
i don't understand this problem and flashing it again doesn't help.
does anybody know if this is a software problem and how i can fix it? or if its a hardware problem in witch case i'm f*cked.
i was running stock sony frimware and it was rooted, just to remove some bloatware. bootloader is still locked.

I am having a severe problem with my mobile.. Xolo one...
The problem is that i just rooted it and inserted a custom boot animation of sony ericsson...
But it all went wrong.. when i rebooted my device it showed xolo logo for a bit and then sony's logo and then the worst thing takes place.. That is the sony logo continues to be there and i couldnt see my screen.. though i could handle it and see half screen in landscape mode..
Pls help and take a solution for this as soon as possible.

What recovery do you have on it? And did you make a backup first?
Actually i found a solution myself..
Let the phone be idle for a hour or maybe more.. then home screen comes for a min.. in that period install root explorer and delete the bootanimation.zip file from system/media..
This worked for me..

I tried to change the resolution of my mobile to 1080x1920.. originally its 480x854.. Also the dpi from something nearly 200 to 450.. It works fine.. but the problem is that whenever i change the resolution... i lose the control of my softkeys..

I tried installing a lollipop rom in it,, but the rom proved corrupt and my phone got stuck in bootloop.. This aint the problem as i got it corrected by flashing new stock rom.
The problem starts here---- I was just exploring the phone and i found the app named "FOTA UPGRADE" . I just opened it and clicked on one of the upgrade options. It started installing or something and was taking time . I got confused and took out the battery to switch it off.. UNFORTUNATELY, now the touch of the phone is not responding. Tried factory reset but still not responding. I cant access the phone as it tells me to choose language to GET STARTED. but i cant touch anything..
Solve this issue asap.. plz experts...
