So, SGS3 has powerful hardware but It does not support Tegra games. I want to ask how does look like Riptide on SGS3 because it is no THD version like two Shadowguns.
So If you play Riptide GP on Samsung Galaxy S3 are there splash screen effects? Thanks

Hi, i've a samsung galaxy 3 i5800 and i've the following problem: after the first screen of Dungeon Defenders there are no videos and textures, but there are clair writes of tips and all writes of the game. the game is playaple in fact the touch works but without textures is too hard to play this game. Please help me!
You can't do anything. Without 3D accelerator, it won't run.
so the galaxy 3 will never run this app or there will be something that can help?
This game is really demanding, based at Unreal engine
It will work only at very fast devices, like SGS
I'm very happy with my new TP, but don't have several of the game that the reviewers mentioned, including Davinci THD, Bladeslinger, and Shadowgun. Wondering if this was just the demo units for reviewers? Anyone else have theirs? What games came with it? What are your favorite games to play on it?
Merry Christmas!
davinci and bladeslinger were both very alpha games that were only on review units to show tegras 3 power but I do have shadowgun tegra 3 edition and a couple other games as I have to gamestop version
In Germany i got Riptide GP Demo and Glow only
The games you mentioned are not included in the gamestop version. IMO out of the five: shadowgun, Riptide, sonic, monster madness and cordy, only shadowgun n Riptide are the most fun. However I've already played them on my Acer a100. So besides the added graphics there is nothing that special with the prime version if you've played it already on other tegra 2 devices. I'm more disappointed that all the gameloft games I purchased in the market is not compatible.

Bladeslinger seems pretty good. Anyone know when it is expected to come out?

Hello everyone. My nephew has a new Tab 10.1 and it is stock on the latest update (Android version is 3.2). Anyway, he tells me that all the games are incompatible. When he goes to the Tegra Zone even it says that the game is incompatible. He tried sideloading them, but they either force close or say they are incompatible.
I have an Epic 4G Touch and a Tab 7" but never had a similar problem. So, is this a well known issue on the 10.1 or not? Is there a workaround or a solution somewhere (Without root is preferable)? He doesn't live in USA, is that the problem? He's really concerned and his brother runs all the games on his Acer Iconia A500.
What should I tell him?
Thanks in advance...
a suggestion or two
hi,
I have owned 4 different android devices over the years and am currently using a galaxy tab 10.1 running android 3.2 as well, now ive never had a game or app, including tegra, tegra 2 not run...but here would be my suggestions:
Idea #1
since its not just the tegra zone not working, and he tried sideloading then its something with the firmware most likely...I would suggest backing up any important data and performing a factory reset, under settings.
Idea #2
Sign into the device with another google account then he is using, make a new one if possible, this may sound random, but I have experienced many many problems with downloading apps that related back to the android market and more specifically the google account.
here are some games iv'e got, cause u wanted to know
Shine Runner (TEGRA 2)
World Of Goo
Words With Friends
Lets Golf 3 HD (TEGRA 2, I think)
Sprinkle (TEGRA 2)
Topple Tower
Big Top THD (TEGRA 2)
Cordy
Angry Birds RIO
Air Attack HD
Muffin Knight
Asphalt 6 HD
Guerrilla Bob THD (TEGRA 2)
ShadowGun (TEGRA 2)
Fruit Ninja THD (TEGRA 2)
Riptide GP (TEGRA 2, TEGRA 3)
Big Bang Racing (TEGRA 2)
Angry Birds Seasons
...the list goes on

Good evening ladies and gents.
I'm about to jump off the fence and buy a new phone (and since I'm posting here I guess you've figured that I'm seriously considering the S3). But before I choose I want to know which games I can expect to be able to play. I stumbled onto the Tegra Zone a few months after I bought my Desire HD and was quite disappointed that it didn't support the content. I know the S3 doesn't have Tegra but stil a lot of the games are still supported/available.
I've now read through dozens of threads but I'm unable to find out how one figures out which games the S3 can run. In some cases I see thats it's just the "ultra high" setting that isn't supported (1. is this correct?). 2. Is there a different version of most games that are meant for non-Tegra devices or is it the exact game but some of which lack the highest graphics settings? Lastly: 3. Are there any games that S3 owners won't be able to play in the foreseeable future?
I would really appreciate input to any of my questions. Have a good day/night
It runs Mali-400 games and if you decide to Root just install Chainfire 3D and you can run most Tegra and any other games.
Gaming is very good. Thats all i have to say
Sorry i couldnt be of more help.
Have u tried looking on the playstore? With a friends phone or on the web page. Google searched? There is a thread about good ganes in the s3

S3 can play anything but Tegra3 Specific games, there is an app made by Chainfire it's called "Chainfire3D" where it emulates all different graphic chips in the market, so basically you can play all non-tegra and tegra games that aren't Tegra3 specifc as mentioned above. The app needs root in order to work. Dead trigger is the latest game to come out and it plays VERY nice and smooth. Shadowgun tegra2 version works, Pinball THD, Fruit Ninja THD, NBA Jam works nice PES2011, Blood and Glory work pretty well... I'm not much into gaming, those are the games I own, and I can say they are the ones that will hammer the CPU and GPU pretty good. I'm not sure what you mean with "ultra high settings" everything works. remember that the screen size is 1280x800 so some games that are made for smaller screen will have black bars or some cropping or some weird behavior, but I've only seen that on "time killer" games, can't recall which game was that showed this behavior, but still playable.
Hope that straight things out a bit for you.
Chain fire helps with some tegra games but it's not perfect eg sonic 4 ep 2 lags like treacle and some tegra games don't work at all. However the graphics hardware in the gs3 is the fastest in the world for a smartphone so there's a lot of potential. But tbh gaming without hardware buttons is pretty crap anyway.

Thank you all for your replies.
I had already read through the post you mentioned slking1989 but even though it assured me that a lot of quality games are supported it didn't give me a definite answer regarding how to determine beforehand if a game will run or not (like "system requirements" or similar). I'm guessing the reason HQ games doesn't show up in the Play store on my current phone is that it doesn't support themn thus it's no points showing them but since I don't have the phone yet I wanted to do some research.
My choice is between the S3 and the HOX but after your replies the S3 was pushed further ahead in the race (only kept back by the insecurity around Tegra games really). Now I just have to decide which color to get.
This may help u decide

Guyz can u just let me know which all thd games are possible to be played on galaxy s3 using chainfire 3d...M willing to purchase them too.
I had already answer you in your other thread:
-THD games are for Tegra3 only!
-Chainfire3D CAN NOT make THD games work on your SGS3
