Does anyone know how to enable the Verizon Touch Pro (VX6850) to update "My Location"/Latitude in google maps? Searching the google help i found that if you go to Menu --> Help --> About there is "myl: N/A"
according to google help this tells you if you are able to use cell towers to triangulate where you are. Is there a way to enable this?
Just enable the GPS and do it the REAL way
what if you are indoors and cannot get a gps signal like 99% of my day?
Yeah, seriously. I KNOW "My Location" works on other devices (saw it work on a blackberry with my own eyes in a verizon store) and I updated to the new rom that supposedly enabled gps (and hopefully the "my location" functionality) and I enabled "location based services" in the options dialog of the phone settings menu item. and it still doesn't work. Any guesses as to if this is a Google problem? A verizon problem? or an HTC (PDC) problem? any registry settings we know of related to location based services? anyone? Thread bump?
I wonder the same but for a different reason, I use Navizon and it records the cell tower data and gives me points for it, I don't get access to it with the touch pro, only to wifi.
Hi guys, was wondering if there is any nice app to track internet connection by apps?
Meaning if opera mobile connects to the internet, it will be logged. I think 3G Watchdog only monitors the data usage right?
Lately I've been getting random connections to the internet by some unknown app. This is even when I set Juice Defender Ultimate to Extreme profile (all internet connectivity disabled by default). Juice Defender will just turn from red dot to blue dot, and the H+ up and down arrow will light up continuously, thus draining battery for no reason
Need to find the rogue process or app that's causing this

Some of the more advanced apps have per app tracking. If you would reset the counter everytime you would be able to see which one uses a bit of data... If it doesn't work you could log all the time, I don't know whether you can easily recreate the rogue startup.

Hi, you mean reset the counter on 3G Watchdog app, or the default android system data counters?
And what advanced apps have you used, can recommend?
I found that by typing on the call screen:
*#*#4636#*#* ( *#*#INFO#*#* )
display the menu:
"Phone info" and scroll down to
"Turn off radio"
and you can access some additionnal settings and it seems you can turn off GSM networks
without disabling FM radio or other networks (source:

I try it and this is working on my Samsung Galaxy S II. But...
Does anyone know a gadget or a small program (maybe on Market) whit which this can be
done?
(whit simple one touch of a single icon on the screen)
Thanks in advance.
I found a small program:
SGS Toolbox on Google Play.

Make sure you made the settings for your local network operator under Access Name Points (Settings -> More -> Mobile Networks).
Try a different browser.
