Im using Checkrom, yeaterday I went to Kitchenrom and saw a mod saying it changes the messasing app to have sent time and unlimited recipients etc. It sounds great but after installing my sms is messed up. If u send a message to someone and he replies immediately then his sms will be ABOVE mine, which means he has answered before I asked. I tried everything but couldnt fix it, I went to the Kitchen but it doesnt have the original ver, which was stupid. I tried to install other mods but it was no use. I am crazy about this and I dont want to reinstall the rom jusy because of this.
Anyone has a solution or coild send me ur messaging app ?
Im using Checkrom Revo HD6, it's a 2.3.6

Hey guys, I flashed the Bionix-v rom, and I love it, but for some reason, now I am having issues with picture messages not sending. I downloaded ASOP from a thread, but I cannot seem to figure out how to install it. Also, I cannot figure out how to install the newer version of swype or the memo app. Can you not just do it from the zip file - app manager?

Wow. No one?...
Nope, you have to flash them.

That's right! You have to flash them.
About MMS: change your contacts from (xxx) xxx-xxxx to plain xxxxxxxxxx.
that did the trick for me. I read there is a batch contact changer on the market. Not sure of the name though.

Just thought I'd throw this in here for people with mms problems. I had them again, and I went to settings, manage applications, all, and messaging, and then clear cache. This worked for me. As far as changing all numbers to the correct format, I found this post. I haven't tried it, but sounds like it should work.
Search for Contacts Clean-up on market. It's free. Select format +xxyyyzzzzzzz to apply to all your contacts. It worked for me. Helps when you have a big contacts list.
Hope this helps....
(I posted this in the bionix section, but it's hard to find in so many posts)
Hi, I have a galaxy s2. I tried to send compressed videos via email. Problem is they were still too large and now gmail app isn't working properly.
I have done some searching and it looks like my wifi is still trying to send the vids. There are a lot as I tried different compression methods and then resending. I have since deleted the emails which were all 'sending' but still have the problem.
Is there a way for me to get things back to normal? I can't delete the account without deleting all my phones user data as well and I would really like to avoid doing this if possible. Thanks for the help.

Have you tried rebooting? Or killing Email from an advanced task manager?
Hi, thanks for replying. Yep tried, still hangs. :-(

Maybe try to clear the Gmail data/cache in settings / applications / manage. .. / all
This will wipe all data and you'll have to setup the app again though.
You could also log in on the web and try delete the E-mail in the outbox .

Hi, thanks for the help. Turns out what was needed was a clear out of my out box, there was a draft of the files I mentioned in there and about 5 hours of leaving gmail alone. Everything started syncing properly after that. :-D

I'm using cleanrom 4.0 and noticed that messages in the gtalk app sometimes groups together. Like I send a message and it gets added to the group of messages that I last sent instead of the bottom of the list after the message that I was replying to.
Anybody else notice this? Is this normal in the ics gtalk app?

i learned to deal with it. IDK i havent found a fix so i just read my msg's carefully now.
edit:
i think it has to do with the ICS gtalk app. the GB one doesnt do this
Does anybody know if the latest leaks still do this? I've been thinking about flashing the latest but been hesitating reinstalling and setting everything back up
Sent from my ADR6425LVW
It's nothing to do with the latest leak...It's the actual Google talk app. If you roll back to an old version it should fix it. I just learned to deal with the problem.
I recently bought a vibrant from a friend of mine as a spare phone and I rooted it. The wife grabbed the vibrant and used it one day. she was messing around with the ROM toolbox app and then it started force closing. I don't know what she did but every 30 seconds or so it gives a prompt that says, "process Android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly". does anyone know what this means, or what I can do to fix it?

Have u tried to use Odin?? You might have to go back to stock

As i remember it, it had something to do with contacts sync error. Go to all apps and force stop google framework services and then force stop contacts, gmail and clear data. Do it a couple of times. Reboot and let everything sync again and hopefully it should be ok.

It has something to do with the contacts synching from what i recall.
1. Uninstall the facebook app if you have it installed.
2. Go to app manager: settings>applications>all>contacts storage>clear data
After this you can install the facebook app if it was installed.
I tried both solutions. Its still doing it, just not as often.

You might Also want to clear data from contacts storage after clearing contacts data. It will probably delete all your contacts, sms and call logs so backup etc.
I did a factory reset and force stopped/cleared data on anything that had to do with syncing contacts. I thinks its fixed! I'll post later to make sue though. I don't want to speak too soon. Thanx guys! Your help is greatly appreciated!

What rom are you using? Try a no wipe reflash
I didn't even think of flashing a rom. I flashed an ics rom and now it works fine. I'd still like to have a stock vibrant rom on hand just for the heck of it though. I really appreciate everyone's help on this. If anybody knows where I could find a stock t959 from let me know.

if you're on ics now and you want a stock rom you should odin first...you will be on stock 2.1...after that you can use kies mini to update your phone to the latest samsung official firmware which is 2.2
Err never ever use kies under any circumstance. Its a recipe for a brick. Read the sticky in this forum. Plenty of links for roms.

When my phone was doing this, it was not a contacts synch error, but a Calendar synch error. I had to clear my calendar data, export my Google calendar and re-import it, and re-do my Google account login in order to get it to stop. From my investigation, it could be any of the Google synch services.
Do a Google search for the error and one of the first responses will be an XDA thread about how to fix the error.
Thanx, I'm gonna try this tonite.

Is there a way to send sms to more than 20 contacts without using another sms application?
Someone?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA
I believe that you can use handcent sms app for this purpose......
cheers....
I know for the SGS2, but maybe same or similar process
[MOD][GUIDE] Mms.apk with Sent time/"Unlimited" Contacts adding//No MMS Convert
Other than doing it yourself, just about most custom ROMs here have the mod cooked into them
thank you for your reply.
But as i asked, is there a way to do it without using another app?

Do it yourself, as per the guide link I posted. You'll need to root & deodex your ROM first. That way your not "using another app", only your own.
Edit: Just nandroid backup before you try anything though..........
Edit2: Not sure if it'll work, that's why backup first
OR
Flash a custom ROM.
Which is the easy way,....................uummmmm........ in your case handcent
