Whats the deal with the way Sense4 is cropping the wallpapers? WHats with all the green boxes when I go to crop it? And is there a way to stop sense from blowing cropped photos up and killing the resolution?
I would like to know as-well.. Cropping is funky on this device.
The big green box in the middle is what is gonna show on your home screen.
The two smaller green boxes to the left and right of that middle screen show the entire length of the photo that will be used to cover all of your screens.

Ok, so I'm guessing the reason the picture is being blown up killing the quality means that it isn't the correct resolution for our phones then.

Yep, 1440x1280 is the correct size for our device.
note that if you do have a large enough image, you want to resize that box so that it covers as much of the wallpaper as possible.
And is no sense the broke it is the same one ICS stock as well

It allows you to set any picture as your wallpaper without having to crop the image. Set your own Images as wallpaper without having to Crop. It also allows you to set images located within external storage as wallpaper. It will resize any size image to best fit within display and it also set landscape and portrait images and rotate the images to your liking. It can also set up the pictures to scroll or notWW is restarted at device reboot to maintain wallpaper set.

Just found this app today..and thought i would share. If it has been posted my apologize I didn't know!
One thing..it seems to be causing endless reboots but I'm using cyanogenmod..just a precaution. So do a backup!seems my EVO is just rebooting by itself..hmm. even without the app installed

Wallpaper wizardrii is the app name
Seems like this could be a great app, but do not understand the need for full network access... Myself probably going to wait and find something different that will function w/ out that network permissions....
App runs in background have to kill it to stop it after use.
I was trying to make this my wallpaper but it doesn't seem to want to work.

Is there any way I can get it to fit on my my screen?
wow that looks awesome, I would like to know as well step by step how to use as wallpaper... yes I am a total noob
Can I change the resolution with picture editing software without losing quality?

Doesn't your ATRIX have the same screen size as the x2? This app works great: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.galmoori.wallpapereditor

downloaded quickpic, I select the pic, menu button, set as, quickpic wallpaper, but it won't let me select the whole picture... I get some of it, but then when I try to select the rest, the shrinks on the other end
I feel like an idiot...this is not supposed to be this difficult.
Finally got it! I made it harder than I needed it to be. In my frustration I forgot to hold the finger on the screen and set the wallpaper that way. Thanks

thanks worked well
I dont know if this had anything to do with it but I had changed the wallpaper mode to vertical screen mode in the visual settings in preferences (I use GOLauncher). Once I did that it worked fine
I thought ics was not supposed to have dedicated capacitive buttons, however most of the mockups seem to have this. If that part of the phone is changed to additional screen size, or better yet outright removed, it's a totally different experience.

face palm.
also, what are they supposed to do with a phone who's hardware was not built around ICS? is the UI supposed to have buttons built into it on top of the buttons on your EVO 3D? seriously man, come on.
Can someone please close this thread. From lame to super lame in four posts.
Fun fact: adding on screen buttons to a 4.5 inch device leaves you with about 4.3 inches of extra space.
So unless you are going to go crazy without an extra fifth of an inch when the on screen buttons are off, you shouldn't worry about it.

Ice doesn't mandate on screen buttons... Manufacturers have an option of implementing it if they wish to

I know there was a thread a while back but can't search on mobile successfully.
What is the purpose of image preview if it's about half a second being the actual photo saved to the SD card?
Seems like the preview saves directly after the photo was taken. Which is very pointless. Only has this issue when not using flash.
Any fix for this?
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Do you mean when you just take a picture with the camera. You can change the preview duration in the settings to 3 or 5 or no limit. Is that what you mean?

No sir. I'm aware of the duration. I'm talking about the actual preview being half a second behind what the actual photo was. I'll pan my camera and take a screen shot of the review and what the actual photo was. 1 moment.
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Here's one photo shot. The first photo is the review that comes up after the pictures us taken and the 2nd photo is the actual shot from the camera.
Photo 1(review on screen)
And this is the actual photo(no burst)
All I did was moved my camera from left to right as I took the photo and the review is actually where I ended not of the camera shot.
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Stupid rotated pic.. Let me do it again in portrait.
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Here we go
1st shot was the review on screen.
2nd shot of actual photo
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Can anyone test this so I know it's not just my phone. I have factory reset and it still does it. Make sure flash is off, turn on no limit for the review start to pan your camera in any direction or have somebody walk by and take the picture and check the preview then click the little box on the bottom right and see if the photo is different than the review.
Thanks.

I was carrying it in my backpack and when i got home this was on the screen. It is not a stain, it is inside!
The screen WORKS, the pen also WORKS on the "stain" and the colors are normally reproduced, but the visibility depends on the background.. e.g on a white page the "stain" can be seen yellowish whereas on a black background it is unoticable..
The repair.center said they need to replace the screen and it would cost 300€ (the price of 2 nexus 7!)
So guys, what is this and how do i fix it??

Haha! I distinctly remember it because it was oddly simple enough to fix. My terminology is probably way off but I believe it happens when the front screen is pressing against the LCD panel.
no coment just rofl!
