Amazon app store won't let me sign in - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

any one else having this issue
Sent from my EVO LTE using XDA Premium HD app

If I remember right your going to have to login on to amazon app store and clear all your unused phones of the list. You just have to many right now
Sent from my EVO using xda premium

Yeah, this happens to me all the time. Every time you flash a new rom you get registered as a new device and they have like a 25 device limit.

weird, I didn't have any issues and I know between all the flashing, devices, my wife's phones, I have hit the 25 limit several times over. I might have to look see what it's showing.

if you cant find how to do it, call amazon they will clear them for you. i did that once bc i didnt know that was the problem

Go to Amazon.com. Login to your account. In the upper right hand of your screen there is a drop down. It says "Hello, "yourname"". Expand that dropdown and at the bottom it says, "Your Android apps and Devices". Click that and in the next screen on the left hand side there is a link that says, "Your Devices". Click that and then in the next screen delete any of those devices you no longer want in there. Here is my screen below. I have one phone and one tablet with Amazon installed yet they think I have all of these and this screen shot isn't even showing all of them.
My favorite device is the Amazon Galaxy Nexus. My Kindle Fire is using an edited build.prop so I have access to all of the market

Hilarious Calendar Widget is Hilarious...

Anyone else catch this?
If you'll notice when choosing a calendar widget, a couple of the "example appointments" are quite nice:

(AFAIK, These are HTC widgets, but I guess Sergey Brin made quite the impression on somebody...And I love the Terminator reference....).
Anyway, I thought it was funny, and I'll go ahead and take this chance to say Hi to everyone that's going to be part of this Forum...
(Personally, I've never been blown away by a phone out of the box like this one...
Can't wait for what's ahead!)

the 2x3 one is a stock Android widget, not an HTC one
"Soccer pratice"? Proof reader fail.
That one is actually a stock Google Calender widget. I'm looking at it right now on my Galaxy Nexus.

Oh, Okay...That makes more sense, what with Google's track record/sense of humor...
I guess I had just never noticed it...
Either way, liked it.

You wanna see a real easter egg? Go into the About settings of the phone and keep hitting the Android version. You get a Nyan cat animation with Ice-Cream-Sandwich style droid bots. Keep holding your finger down on the bot when he appears.
This works on my Galaxy Nexus, not sure if HTC took it out or not.

And that's not just ICS, they've hidden that egg since Gingerbread (where it was that creepy zombie gbread man, Honeycomb had the buzzing bee, and now Nyandroid. Then there's the RocketLauncher thing, but I'm not aware of anything else....
Anyone know if there is?

PSA... friends don't let friends drive while looking for Sprint LTE

We're distracted enough out there on the road as it is...last thing we need are a few thousand Android geeks looking at their phones to see if they have LTE. Or worse yet, toggle settings while cruising to get that fleeting glimpse of a not-ready-for-primetime LTE signal.
Let's be careful out there ...

Especially for those of us on motorcycles. I don't know how many close calls I've had where the driver was to busy talking or texting.

Ummm, u need to be more precise. But, yes it is capable. U need jellybean or a rom that has google now in it. There's also Iris which is a beta siri clone. Google Now is really cool though. Impressed my friend this morning when I thought I had my phone off and must have pressed the voice search thing.
But it heard me ask my friend when does daylight savings start and it started talking from my pocket, so I pulled my phone out and it was still talking but had a card saying November 4, 2012.
Pretty cool, nice coincidence too, lol.
I'm jealous...how do I get iris on my.phone

It's in the play store, there are quite a few apps like it.
push the HTC Speak button, there are already voice commands on the stock rom
I don't have htc speak. At least I've never seen it before.
Yes...where is the HTC speak button.

Its also the Google Voice Search button on the widget
When you use it, the voice commands come up. you can watch a video on how to use it
I always called that voice search, I never referred to it as htc speak, thanks.
lol so did i, only called it that because of Viper4G, but no problem!
Yea, I use it all the time, it works relatively well for me. I've also been using and app called maluuba. It's decent.

Your phone is syncing data. You can go to Menu>Settings>Accounts & Sync and see what's syncing.

What ROM are you running? What mods have you done to it? When did you first notice the symbol? Have you changed anything with the ROM that suddenly caused the symbol to show up?
More info please

Its probably browser in account & aync uncheck browser and check it back
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
You need to go into your accounts and sync settings and check what's syncing.
If it keeps doing it you may need to sign out of the account that's acting up and reboot your phone then sign back in.
Report back
It's most likely facebook - sync live feed.
I usually just turn it off. I don't need facebook syncing unless I'm loading the app to view feeds.

If you guys would have looked closely, it asks if you want to share data with TMobile to better assist with diagnostics. After reading these posts, I chose to NOT accept, or decline. After decline, the TMobile app still opens up normally and says NO data is shared with TMobile at the top and when I run device health, it says basically healthy etc with NO messages about rooted device :good:
Each time the app is opened, I make sure I choose decline and then I know TMobile has no clue......
It also states results will not be shared with tmobile. Guess I'll have to wait to find out.
Sent from my SM-G900T using xda app-developers app
thats why i always decline when they ask to share data or other diagnostics info, and one of the main reasons i root my devices, to get rid of this apps.. i dont care about warranty, i just want to be free to do what i want with my device without worrying about them having me on check.
