I am also interested to try the DSC ROM.
I seen on the Dell Streak Wiki there is DSC ver.1.0, that is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Dell_Streak_5/ROMs
Is this the latest one? Which version is the stable and latest fully working ones? Can someone advice, thanks.
Currently my baseband is GAUSB1A1406214-EU (i.e. 407), can I just go into CWM (ClockworkMod) and install the DSC ROM? Any other preparation should I make before and do I have to flash other additional zip files to fix things?
I hope I can get some reply on this matters. Thanks.
Dont flash it...i almost bricked my phone trying to do that...had to go to dell service centre to restore the phone...but if u still curious try it...

I there
Just bought brand new xperia ray (unbranded actually )
I unlocked it successfully using THIS METHOD, then I rooted it with DooMLoRD v4 tool, then I installed the CWM and BusyBox using SE Extreme Tweak Installer v1.8.
Since then, all was okay, stock rom was functionnal and I was able to boot on the recovery, then I made a factory reset under CMW (wipe cache/data) and installed MIUI GB.
Tried to reboot but got stuck on the Sony Ericsson logo for minutes...
So I unplugged the battery and tried to boot in recovery with no success...
Did I miss something ? I am not too worried, I guess there is a way to fix this problem, I'll accept your advices
Did u try any other Rom or just the MIUI?
Did u make a backup of your Stock rom? Can you enter fastboot mode? Try to flash a kernel with cwm. Or try flashing the ICS beta. Or... i have no more ideas
If yes, did u try to restore the stock rom?
Did you flash the kernel to go with the rom?

Lol yeah. The reason I said that was because he said it was stuck at Sony Ericsson logo, and I'm not sure if MIUI roms run on Sony Ericsson kernel?
Does it? :-/
Sent from my ST18i using xda premium
Every rom i tried came with it's own kernel. Do no realy like Miui so i did no try that one.
Anyway if the kernel is the problem the a fastboot flash correct boot.img should fix the problem.
He should be able to enter CWM using the current kernel right?

MIUI kernels don't usually have the SE logo, so I guess OP didn't flash the kernel that came with the ROM.
Ho yeah, I did not flash any kernel, I think this is the point here...
I thought kernel would be included in the rom image (it's the case on HTC devices)
I am new to sony underground, seems a lil' more complicated, I'll get used to it...
Anyways, as I can't boot into recovery anymore, what can I do to flash the kernel ?
Edit : Of course I did a full backup in CWM before flashing, but i can't use it :/
You have to install flashtool from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351324
Then you enter fastboot mode: turn off your phone then hold the vol up button and insert the USB cable. You should see the blue led. this means you are in fastboot mode.
In the installation dir of Flashtool you'll have a x10flasher_lib folder. This is were the fastboot.exe file is.
The easy way is to copy the kernel(usualy a boot.img file) to this folder, then open a command prompt window and flash the kernel:
fastboot flash boot boot.img if the kernel has a different name then change the boot.img.
Done.
Anyway, if something is wrong someone please correct me.
Thank you.

Friends
Still I'm facing problems in installing cm10 nightlies
I'm telling you the exact methodwhat I'm doing to install
I'm using cm9 stable, I downloaded cm10 in my mobile, then I move it to my PC and extract boot.img on my PC and I connect my phone to PC in fast boot more and flash the kernel using flashtool in fast boot mode now after disconnecting when I start my phone for flashing rom my phone NEVER BOOTS UP it shows nothing just glowing screen and nothing else , then I again flash my old cm9 kernel and then run my old cm9 rom.
Why it's so?
I want to ask that should I ever the process like first I should flash rom then I flash kernel?
Or any other kernel apart from cm10 kernel will work? If it is possible then please give me the link for that?

You're doing everything correctly. Problem is in kernels ramdisk. It's not in the correct size range so s1 boot loader didn't allow kernel to boot. You can unpack kernel and add some junk files to ramdisk say 400-500 KB. Repack it and it should boot.
How it is done friend?

Use cm 10 extended kernel or Lupus for JB, They will work. And flashing one of them is much easier

My S5830i is bricked but I'm unable to connect it to my computer using USB as I think there's a problem with the socket on the phone.
I can access the CWM Recovery so is it possible to fix it from there? I've tried different kernals and roms but it hangs on the Samsung logo when I restart it. Is there a Stock Rom and Kernal which will install using CWM? All I can find are custom roms which hang on the Samsung logo.
Please help
Many thanks
Do you have a ROM that works on your SD? If so yes wipe data cache and flash it.
If not
Look for a Factory image .tar file and put phone in download mode and use Odin. Look for a thread on your phone.

Just connect your phone in recovery mode and start that soft in PC.
