Do we know if SG3 kernel has the same eMMC bug that super bricks the NOTE and multiple other devices?
It does not

Source? What about the MMC Chip is it no 0X19?
Source is me.... If you actually know about the bug you could test yourself to see of your phone had it, it's what I did...
Alternatively Chainfire made an app that ran the test for you.

Do you really think Samsung would release their long anticipated flagship phone with a bug of this severity?

The problem is that Samsung is not admitting that there is a problem to begin with with its Kernels. Which is why they keep releasing new kernels for NOTE that has the bug enabled and people are getting bricked left and right.

May i know where u experienced the lag? how serious?
It was simply unusable. The only solution was restarting. Even after a factory reset wasn't helpfull. Now I have a new device. Until now all is ok. Fingers crossed!

To answer your thread tite... No.
As for your question about the note 1 multitasking capabilities: Of course it will. It can already multitask. Multiple floating apps running on my i717 rarely gives me any lag but depending on how well Samsung will work on the update, if there is one to 4.1.2 with multi-window, hopefully it is not too laggy.

Some are saying that the Note 1 will get most of the Note 2 features upon the arrival of JB.
The Note 1 uses a completely different set of internals than the Note 2, made by different companies.

Hello all, I have an issue where the game Asphalt 7 keeps crashing usually 10 mins into gameplay, also can happen when reaching certain areas on the track. My Note 2 is rooted with the latest stock 4.1.2 ROM. Also has redpill kernel (apps are being installed the External SD, this is a redpill hack)
Any ideas what could be causing this? It's really annoying as I love playing the game!
Many thanks,
Kieran
What variant do you have. I've never heard of red pill kernel on Verizon

mmmmmmmmm thanks for your information ok lets back to work :fingers-crossed:
Any devs thinking of the possibility to make things with the new note 3 such as, the spen features work(ACTION MEMO, SCRAPBOOK,ETC) on our older note2's? It looks like the snote refresh is more user friendly to everyday actions. The rest is still ok, for me anyway. But I would rather donate than spend $700 for a new phone. Thoughts?
Or just wait for the update that should give us these features as well

Seems like we have waited forever for samsung to release anything for an update towards the note2. Touchwiz related anyway. Romming is always great. I hope your right!

Us being verizon users may be holding our hands on our asses for that update. Was the same with my last phone. By the time the uodate came out I was eligible for another upgrade anyway lmao.

Guess you haven't heard but the Note 2 is getting updated to 4.3 in October.
Those features will most likely be included

When the update comes out, I'm sure devs will port it to our Verizon devices within hrs... so no need to wait on Verizon
Nice! That is good news. So your guess was correct.

Yes, although it'd be best just to flash the 4.3 stock ROM that our devs release, when it becomes available, so you'll stay unlocked and rooted because they may not be able to unlock any new updates.
