Im on my 4th day of using the 1900 one. it seems regular to me. ive been fully charging and draining it for a few days now. havent seen a great improvement. oh and props on the supser sayain rom playa. I got like 2 days of battery life with that. are you going to make the newer versions for the 351.3 leak? or does it not really matter.
Damn that sucks. Right now I'm just using the external battery pack when I can't plug in my phone.

Yeah same here. Not really a huge noticable difference. Then again a change in only about 200mah is not that much anyways. 1700 vs 1900mah
I have an Anker 1900 also. The life of the battery depends on how its conditioned. I also charge it in the phone and not with an external charger and I have noticed the battery life last longer.
I let the battery drain till the phone shuts off then charge it to 100%. I do that with my stock one as well. After a couple of days of doing that I reset my batt stats in recovery (4EXT of course) and continue the process over again.

i have an anker and chichitec. both are better than the oem one. given that the oem one crapped out, i'm not sure how accurate my observations are, though.
One of the first things I did was get an Anker battery and honestly I couldn't tell that much of a difference. Granted I only had the OEM battery for about a week, but it seems like it drains at about the same rate, it might last just the tiniest bit longer, but its not much of a difference.

My OEM is slightly better than either of my two Anker 1900 batteries.
I have not noticed any difference really. I have to charge me batt. every night after a days use. I keep an original batt charged and another anker. I switch them out. no ground breaking changes.

the difference between stock amaze batt and anker (i doubt it's full 1900mAh anyway) is about 170mAh. def. not groundbreaking lol
After conditioning my Anker batteries (0-100 charge/discharge 5 times as recommended) using the external charger. I found that on average my batteries lasted about 30% longer than stock. Also I was getting random reboots, the grey battery icon error, incorrect battery % reports with the stock battery. All of that has stopped when using the Anker battery. I have also found that charging with the external charger will allow the Anker to last longer than charging in the phone. The Anker battery seems to operate at a lower temperature also. Overall I have definitely seen a substantial increase in battery life over stock. Although obviously not ground breaking it is a worth while investment especially with it being relatively inexpensive.

I also conditioned mine, and they don't last as well as OEM, certainly not 30% better. Maybe your OEM was defective.

If you want to compare properly – you need to calibrate each battery and use it with its own calibration profile. The results will be quite approximate otherwise.
I asked about app to switch battery profiles – nobody answered yet…
Even if it exists, it’ll work for rooted phones only, most likely…

I should think that a battery would work so long as it was stronger than the profile being used (the % might not be accurate, but it would at least run), but you bring up a good point.

Just ordered at Amazon for $25. Batteries are 1800mah. Not many reviews but all are saying that there are NO boot loops and that they work with original back cover. My guess is that these are NOT NFC batteries. They should last at least as original battery. I'll update post when I find out.

I tested my Hyperion batteries and they have about 5% LESS juice compared to stock battery. Another gripe is that charger output is rated as DC 4.2V 350mA (but mostly performs well below) so because of that, in my case, it takes 6+ hours to fully charge completely discharged battery. Some people reported 4 hours to fully charged state so each to it's own. If you charge phone thru charger's USB output you'll get full 750mA charge.
Anyway, considering all positives, negatives and price, I'm satisfied with this purchase and this is viable option for I777.
Positives
- no boot loops
- same form factor
- charger charge stock battery as well
- price (2 batteries and charger $25)
- extra USB output outlet (750-800mA)
Neutral
- batteries hold close to stock (it was expected knowing that weigh and size of batteries don't differ much compered to stock)
- not NFC compatible (not much of use for NFC right now)
Negative
- slow battery charging (~350mA)

Friend of mine got Mugen battery. I gave him one Hyperion for test purposes. He was so mad because they lasted the same. Man, if you wanna preserve same form factor and save some $ buy either stock or Hyperion. For me, there is no question about that.

I've been cycling between the hyperion batteries and my stock battery for the last few days.
I've noticed that my battery life drops twice as fast with hyperion vs stock. Has anybody else noticed this? Usage is the same and I'm running CM7.
Is this some weird calibration issue and the battery actually has more than is reported?
I think it's the hyperion batterys, i bought one a few Weeks back but its 8% lesser battery life then stock atleast for me..

Yep. It takes 4-5 full charges to "properly" calibrate, but don't worry, it'll hold close as stock battery.

I wish the battery capacity was the same as Samsung OEM battery. It seems much less than 5% lower capacity.
Since battery life and tracking is very important to me because it's the best indicator of whether things are working alright, I just bit the bullet and ordered the $30 OEM battery. I'll hold on to the hyperion batteries for travel and emergencies, but I'm leaving them out of my "rotation" (I like to avoid charging and just swap batteries every night).
Or if I'm going to play a CPU/GPU intensive game for 4-5 hours, I'll throw in the hyperion battery just to kill it

As I told you before, battery life will improve after 5 full charges/discharges, unless you got bad batch. In that case you should exchange it for new ones.
I tested mine with Battery Monitor Widget Pro and 100% charge show 4188mV and 1% charge show 2940mV while stock battery goes down to 3022mV. So there is potential for Hyperion to last longer then stock but somehow it drains faster. If someone knows answer I would be glad to hear it. I would continue with calibration and testing and report back if there is any new findings. For now, they last 5-6% less then stock.
Anyway, first week of using Hyperion they lasted 20% less then stock so I bought same as yours stock battery with charger for $30 from Amazon. Stock is stock. LOL

Oh my goodness! Massive improvement! I mean huge! I was so stupid. The key was in deleting Battery stats in Recovery before Rom boots.
Follow these steps;
1. Power off the phone
2. Replace battery with fully charged Hyperion battery
3. Boot into Recovery by holding volume+, volume- and Power button. Release all three buttons when Galaxy S2 logo shows 2nd time.
4. Go to advanced and delete battery stats
5. Go back and restart the phone
6. Enjoy much better battery life
I will do proper comparison with stock battery when I get some free time. If someone do it before me feel free to post results.
My guess is that battery life improved somewhere between 10-20%!

I do. And every battery shows full potential including stock. It takes minute or two extra but reward is better battery life.

I think that wiping battery stats will help with any extended battery, not just Hyperion. And don't forget to properly calibrate batteries. Fully charge/discharge 5 times.

Seems like I have nothing but problems ever since I slapped on there the acesoft 2010mah battery. At 1st I thought it was Quicksense, but my girlfriend is running stock and her phone has frozen up on her, battery goes to 0 when there is still some left. Not sure but seems like these batteries really suck!

Is it possible I get 2 bad batteries? What seemed weird about the batteries when I got them is that they were fully charge. Every battery I bought has had either a partial charge or no charge.
It could be a driver issue with the phone and battery. Try another company since each likes to tinker with their batteries and that can lead to instability.
Battery needs drivers?
Another thing I notice also, GPS and Bluetooth dont work well when they are both in use. Bluetooth says its pair when its not and the GPS freezes and acts funny.
I'll try and see about getting a different brand.

I would recomend staying away from any aftermarket batteries. Everyone here seems to like the ankor Battery. weird that the andida looks the same. Oh and yes batteries require drivers.
Have you tried clearing the battery cache? I have read this helps with new non OEM batteries. I would go with ankor if you must seems to be the battery of choice. Imo if an aftermarket battery isn't giving you at least 3-4 extra hours it ain't worth it. Plus there's always the risk of it being a pos and damaging your hardware. And I'm sure you void any and all warranties doing so.

I got the anker 1800mah batteries, I should have gotten the 1900.. but they have better battery life over stock(even the 1800). I will say this though, you have to be careful with them, the little plastic dividers between the charging terminals can break, and I blame the crappy ac charger that anker makes that came with my batteries(the charging tabs move so you can charge different batteries on it).
If I could do it over, I would have gotten two 1900mah, been a little more careful with them, stopped using the stock battery, and gotten a better quality ac charging dock.
So today I was scouring the web for accessories for the beast known as the HTC Rezound (Vigor) and came across this extended battery, reporting 3500 mAh!!! That's crazy. The website has also made 3500 mAh batteries for other devices as well. However, this one for the Rezound has not yet been released.

I've always had HTC batteries, so u went with the 2750 battery and factory htc extended door for mine. I prefer to stick with HTC, however this may be good as well.
Would be interesting to see how the battery cover on this looks like and if there is any improvement in reception, like some people are are reporting with the extended battery.
If they are able to make the 3500mah battery the same dimensions as the HTC extended battery that would be great. I prefer to use the HTC back since it has metal inserts as the antenna. There's no knowing if the replacement back is up to the same spec as the HTC one.

I saw that a couple days ago too, but I saw it as too good to be true. Considering the lack of photos and the website itself seems a little fishy. But hey, if it works like it says then that's great. I have the HTC extended battery and it works like a charm.

As it has been explained to me, "over-charging" extended batteries is the only way to get them to a full charge because if the phone originally had a smaller battery, it will think that the ext battery is full when it reaches the same capacity as the original battery's "full" mark in the battery history file.
Seemed good until they stated the whole deal about the Droid 3. "Lets be honest, how are you going to watch Netflix at work with that small battery?" <-- full of win though.

Where your wrong is there's a chip in the battery to report when its actually charged so when it turns green its actually charged.
When your over charging it this is where there used to be issues with HTC kernels. Basically our kernel charges to %100 and let's it die to %90 and then charges it back up again. Hense the need to bump charge in older phones, but with the phones now like the thunderbolt and our rezound bump charging is pretty useless as our phones drain that %10 in a reboot

I calibrated mine the first time I charged it
Now it's lasting 15 hours.
i just got a new momax 2700mah battery still fresh from the box and put it on my phone.. initial battery level shows 22% but then after a few moment it jumps to 62% and stop charging afterwards.. i check using battery monitor app and it shows i only got about 100ma of current even though im using an AC charger to charge..
what should i do now? im puzzled because i can't even know what is my current battery level??

You need to let him charged during few hours and after calibrate your battery stats with "Battery calibration".
Battery apps on the SGS2 only give a rough estimate of battery available at any given moment (a limitation of the hardware).
Non-stock batteries probably don't have the fuel gauge chip stock batteries have, so any reading you get whilst using one of these is probably going to be even less accurate than using a stock battery.
Obviously using non-stock/genuine batteries is a case of caveat emptor.

They're not useless, but there's no way to absolutely 100% accurately measure how much juice you've got left, even with stock batteries. The numbers reported by battery apps are normally 'close', but you can sometimes see all kinds of weird results like the ones you saw with that battery you just got.

No, it shouldn't have any bearing on the life of the battery.
Yes, at the end of the day you'll get the right 'capacity' regardless of any inaccuracy shown by a battery app at a given point in a charge cycle. For example, I have a 2000mAh Samsung battery, and my testing shows I do indeed get on average around 20% more juice out of it compared to the original 1600mAh one that came with the phone.

I didn't know the actual capacity for certain because I don't have the equipment to test that kind of thing, but my testing gave me around 10-15% more juice than the stock battery so I figured it was around 1800-1900.
Not exactly scientific, but after two weeks and a bunch of charge/discharge cycles, it was nowhere near the 3500mAh it was alleged to be, so I returned it. For me, I'd rather stick to a 2000mAh Samsung battery which was the same price as the genuine 2000mAh battery (~$40). I get fantastic battery life as it is, and 2000mAh is plenty for me. Plus I have the original 1600mAh which I store/keep charged @ 60/70% as a spare which I can charge to full quickly if I need it.

Hi fellow l9'ers
I purchased an OEM battery to have as a spare battery since I'm usually out of battery when I most need it but forget to bring it or charge it. After having so-so experiences with aftermarket extended batteries on other phones I decided that if I wanted good results on the cheap I need to make it myself. Still testing it out but initial impressions are good.
BTW.. yes it looks horrendous and I do know that it could blow up, ruin my phone, cause cancer and start WW3.... but thanks for your concern.

9/4/13 Update.... after using it on a daily basis and swiping back and forth between the oem battery and my jerry-rigged battery I can say its definitely working. The performance has gotten constant and I did a battery drain comparison between the 2 using the app called FAST DISCHARGE. All option selected and cpu set to full load with temp set to unlimited. I did remove two of the jumpers and only left positive and negative connected.
OEM BATTERY........... 2hr 5min 13 sec
JERRY-RIGGED BATT..........3hr 35min 21sec
I suspect that it doesn't last double since both circuits are being powered when charged...... the first battery to be fully charged send a signal to the charger to shut off hence the lack of full power.
Over all for $10 bucks I'm not complaining.
How does the battery stay in place? double side tape?
Also, what is the battery life on this uhmmmm... phone?

I am very interested in trying this if your results are good...How has your battery life been affected? Has it doubled? Do you use a case that works with the new "power bulge"?
I did that to my old i897 captivate. you only need the positive and negative connected. you're connecting the two circuit boards together which may cause problems. i would remove that one. Unless you can find a battery charger that supplies more amperage you most likely will never get that battery fully charged no matter what the android meter says.
Ok, after a few days of heavy usage I have come across sporadic performance results. In a few occasions it would out last the original battery under the same usage and other times it would perform as a stock battery. I plan on purchasing an external charger since I suspect that both batteries are not fully being charged as the previous post mentions. I will also disassemble the second battery and take the circuit out of the equation. So far I am pleased with it's performance even though it's not consistent.

Cool. i work in batteries so i didnt check out dudes guide other than his soldering was good lol. essentially all you're doing is connecting the batteries in parallel. since both batteries have a circuit board that controls low voltage and temperature safety, you only need to use one as the battery will still be a 3.6v cell just double the capacity. stock LG charger shipped w/ L9 outputs .85 amps so if you could find one that did 1.5amps or 1500mah you'd be in good shape.
Like @Meda808 said,you only need to connect two pins... + and -.You will also need stronger charger but... There is a circuit in a phone which controls power to battery(I think that that's why is one of the two middle contacts on battery) so... Maybe with external charger?

Well, good feature, but on the other hand smartphone becomes fat, and if I look on way I use my phone, I won't do DIY like this.

Small update......
So far so good, no major issues. I purchased the anker standalone charger and it charges the battery but it takes way to long(10-15hrs) So I just charge it in the phone now. The battery lasts me a full day under heavy heavy usage. Prior to this by 2-3pm it was out of juice.
I have noticed that it has become less sporadic the more I use it.
Iheartradio 4-6hrs a day, dish anywhere 2-3hrs a day, calls:30-1hr. This is with WiF(thanks Home Depot), data and Bluetooth(LG Tone)on for most of the day.../.. I'm happy I did it.
I unplug at 4:45am and plug it in by 8-9pm with about 20-30% left.
I have not modified the connection yet so I suspect that it still might not be fully charged even with the aftermarket charger.
About the hump..... I got use to it quiker than I thought.
