I just got my new SGS3 today and for the life of me I can't figure out how to delete most of these Bloatware Widgets that Samsung installed onto the TouchWiz Screens. I pressed and Held the Widget expecting a REMOVE Trash Can to drag it to but there is none to be found - Can someone please tell me the secret to permanent removing unwanted widgets from a SGS3 TouchWiz Screen - Thanks in Advance - Tom

I was wondering if there's a mod out there to allow you to change the quick launch shortcuts at the bottom of the screen? Or am I just stupid and you can do this with a stock phone?
I realize when we get some new ROMs going this will be added in, I'm just enjoying my stock ROM with Da_G's OC kernel and CWM for now.. I don't really have the free time to be playing around with new ROMs right now, but a flash-able mod would be great for this since I only really use two of the shortcuts.
Have you tired a custom launcher? I just got my note today and the first thing i did was install the zeam launcher.

App drawer - menu - edit - customizable grid - tap and drag.
Okay.. I was trying to stay away from using a different launcher, I've tried them in the past and always ended up uninstalling them after a few hours.
One more step to add to mikegehl's write-up: Then Menu > Save, or your changes won't stick.
Why they had to make it so much more difficult than any other position on the screens (simple drag-n-drop to remove, press-n-hold to add) is beyond me. But, it is one of my very few complaints about the stock UI.
How to change quick launch icons.
Ok I wish this was a little easier but there is a way to change the quick launch icons (all but the applications icon of course). Just click on Applications icon, click on the menu button, click on view type, make sure its on customizable grid, then click menu again, then edit. You can now drag icons (upto 4 on the note) on and off the quick launch. remember to click menu, save once you're done or it will revert back. Hope this helps!

otherwise why use shortcuts at all
why place anything on homescreen
In CM7, all my apps were on one page, easily reached. In CM10.1.2, some apps on desktop, others have to be reached in \settings\displayhiddendrawer. And then, when I click on icon there, all I get is stats for that app; i.e., app doesn't open. I've tried the "reset" in top rt corner of hidden drawer, and also placing checkmarks in the buttons; still not working. Using Nook color, CM10.1.2 on SDHC.Please advise how to get all apps displayed.Thank you.

From the launcher (desktop), press the icon with a circle and six dots in the bottom row of icons. That would open the application drawer, where all applications and widgets are available.
Cheers,

Just open the application drawer and long press the icon you want on the desktop. It will get put there. To remove just long press the icon you do not want and drag to the trash.

Hey guys, i recently installed a new custom ROM (mySENSEdx5 RC 4.0), and i flashed custom transparent app drawer by xpirt so it made my menu be transparent...Thing is, i want the dock to be transparent too. Is there anything i can do about it or i will have to leave it as it is now. I don't want to use any launchers such as nova, go, apex etc...
And secondly, the ROM came with costumized panel which i want to delete but i can't do it, remove option is grayed out, is there anything i can do about it ? It has some widges that i don't need like news highlights and stuff, it's really ugly tbh.
Thanks in advance

Hey man thanks for the link. Got it working. Sorry I didn't make it clear for my second issue. Thing is I have 3 pannels on my home screen. One of the pannels has already been there when I installed custom ROM. I hate that pannel, it shows me things that I don't want to see on homescreen...picture of pannel is attached in post. I want to delete it but I don't know how. When I slide 3 fingers from corners of screen to middle it opens up cpstumization of pannels. When I press down to drag that pannel into "remove" it is grayed out and it seems that I can't delete it. Is there anything that I can do to delete that pannel ?

Good day,
I like to have an empty home screen in 1+X. Could anyone help me with this.
Thanks
Ricky
You're right, if there is nothing on it, it erase itself...
You'll probably have to go to something like Nova Launcher or same type...

Is there any way to change the order of home screens?
Thanks
I'm using ADW launcher and my screen looks like this - i.imgur.com/foZ13hs.png (sorry cant post links)
If you remove quick launch buttons and put black wallpaper you get it.
There are surely many other ways of achieving this.

Apex Launcher is also very good for doing this. It has a lot of customization and you can get very specific with how you want things to look. I generally prefer it vs nova. It seems more clean, organized in the settings layout and to the point. You won't need a widget in order to keep your home screen clean and you can make it look just like OOS launcher if you were to prefer it's look and layout.
