Hi, I rooted my device with this guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719 and then unrooted. Now when I flash BB throught cwm it says it was installed but i dont have superuser and root access. How can i root my device again?
Thanks.
Try installing busybox and then Superuser or SuperSU apps from Google Play.
Once done, check root access with Root Checker (or similar) app.
Edit:
Or just flash one of compatible Chainfire CF-root kernel. You can also use his Triangle Away app to get rid of the warning triangle and flash counter.

Please make it clearer next time. You never mentioned you wanted to unroot again. Also you never mentioned you had tried cf-root.
To unroot, simply just flash stock firmware.
If Chainfire kernel doesn't root, you're obviously not following instructions properly. Suggest more reading.
You're welcome mate

But I want a simple root program like unlockroot, or that BusyBox guide - are you sure that there isn't a way to root with this guide again?
Not sure mate,
Sure if you flash the cf-root kernel. Will take longer to ensure correct one and download than flash.
Just follow the guide exactly and you can't go wrong.
If you really want to root previous way, maybe post in that thread for more better advice.
Sorry.

Should work, what did you do?
Using stock recovery open cwm.zip
Using cwm recovery flash busy box installer.
Reboot and you should be rooted again.

Did this lot of times (with stock rom and cwm recovery) and it still stays the same, without superuser. In addition, now when i try to install superuser from the Market I get error 941 - what does it mean? Maybe I have problem with flashing archives? There is a way to check if I still can flash files?
Thanks a lot!
Try clearing market data in phone settings/applications/...... & sign in again
Have you also tried SuperSU app instead of Superuser?

thanks, I clear the market data and now I'm able to install Superuser, but when I open the SuperUser there are no applications in the list. SuperSU says "there is no SU binary installes and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem", guess it mean I don't have root access? I think that downloading applications from market won't solve the problem, it should be installed when I flashing BusyBox. As I wrote before, maybe I got a problem with flashing files? (it's worked for the first root and unroot)
Try flash this through CWM. Superuser version and binary maybe a little old, but if works, you can easily update via Google Play.
After instal, your app list inside will of course be empty, should be prompted when a app requests SU access the first time.
when i try to install it it says: "e: error in /sdcard/download/SuperUser-3-10-1.0.7... (status 0)
installaion aborted.
what does it mean?
Not sure, would have to Google.
If I was in your shoes, and previous rooting method fails..... go with either;
A) Chainfire CF-root kernel and then use Triangle Away app to reset counter & remove warning triangle
B) Backup and save to PC. Full wipe and use Odin and flash stock firmware. Root again as per original method
Done

it's too complicated for me..
Think i would stay unrooted until there will be another simple root tool without changing the kernel :\
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
I found out that I have BusyBox 1.17.1 installed. I found it with the app "Root Check Pro". But I'm sure that I don't have a root access even thoght I have BusyBox installed. How can I remove it? "Root Check" says that the file is in "/system/xbin/busybox" and this information correct - I can see the file but can't remove it because I don't have root access. how can I uninstall it? or replace it?
* already tried install BusyBox & Superuser from the market, they don't do anything because I don't have root access :\
I attached pictures of BusyBox information and Root information. (from "Root Check")
Added some information... Still stuck without root but with busybox installed

just updated superuser app form the market and it killed my root access. and now when i access any app which requires root its not working. i tried to root the phone again with this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200167
on cmd it says permission denied.
can anyone tell me how to get the root access back..
same thing happened to me....had to reflash whole rom.
try downloading old update install and overwrite new one.....
Go to Recovery and use Fix Permissions, then it should work again

no fixing permissions did not worked. hav to flash the rom again as my data/wifi is also not working now (wifi gets connected but internet doesnt work)
all this happened due to this ****ty superuser update...
I fixed it yesterday, downloading the SuperOneClick 1.9.5 (NOT the lastest one) and Unrooting, then Rooting again (Choose GingerBreak as root method). Should work fine for you too. There will be two SuperUser apps, but just reboot and then will be only one.
Remember to NOT update SuperUser or at least don't update the binaries, because they have problems.
you can update binary but not the app....
Apparently, the maker of Superuser thinks he compiled the binary for ARMv7 (not on purpose)...
I saw there's a new binary now (3.0.2). I will try it out and see if it works now.
---
Confirmed! It's fine with the latest binary.
In case you haven't seen: http://androidsu.com/2011/10/i-updated-to-3-0-1-binary-and-lost-root-help/
---
After rooting updated the binary OK (giving root permission to the app itself). But after a factory reset, no app can get (or prompt for) root permission.
So, not working...
why you flash rom over again
if you flash this file through recovery you will get your root acces back
Same thing happened with me. I restored the nand
back up .
that helped me.

Well, two days ago I decided to put ICS on my Amaze. Previous to ICS I was Rooted with S-ON, and Unlocked.
I followed the instructions on the Development section to install ICS on my unlocked, S-ON Amaze. However after I installed CWM, and flashed Superuser, Titanium Backup, or any other root app says I don't have root privileges.
From what I understood, once SU was flashed, the device would be rooted.
I used the All In One Kit to put the CWM Recovery, and flash the SU. I did HTC Steps to unlock the phone (which the AIO Kit helped also)
I tried looking for a solution or something before posting, but I couldn't find one in the 80+ pages of the ICS thread in the Development section.
Thanks in advance!
I initially had an issue flashing Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip (found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20992340&postcount=4) because I didn't toggle the signature setting in recovery. Perhaps it didn't flash correctly? Make sure it said it was successful at flashing the zip.
Flash it again.
Wait....I sent this with Tapatalk?
I realized that my tool didn't set the SU permissions. I have to fix that. Just flash the SU zip file and it'll be fine.

You sure can. Detailed instructions posted in development section. Basically you need to unlock bootloader through HTC, flash a custom recovery, load up the superuser zip, then flash it in your custom recovery. More details are given in other posts already.

Just going to throw this out there. I flashed superuser after installing ICS to get root. It works for most applications, but one app that it doesn't work with is LuckyPatcher (to get rid of those stupid ads in my other apps). For LuckyPatcher to work, I had to install superSU (can be found from the play store). It seems to be my default root app now.

When I try to run clockwork mod from rom manager it tells me " an error occurred while attempting to run privaleged commands!" what is this supposed to mean?
I have the super user zip to install on my device I haven't ran a rom in a while though now so I have an older version of revolutionary.
How do I get clockwork mod installed so I can run the zip or is there an easier way to run the zip? When I get to fast boot and try to run recovery it boots to a red ! in a triangle.

Are you S-off?
You may not have full root.
Install Root Checker from the Play Store and see if you have root access.
If you're S-off, have full root, and have root access according to Root Checker...
Make sure your Superuser binaries are up-to-date.
Then install Busybox and smart install Busybox binaries.
See if that works.

I flashed the stock 4.1.2 and a new modem that I found on here to my phone. Ever since then whenever I open the su app it says that the su binary doesn't exist. Problem is I tried to flash the newest binary and it didn't do anything. I also tried to flash using Odin and it messed up the rom. I can't figure out how to get su working again. Can someone help me?

I had similiar issues. It seems others have had the same issue too. If you have installed superuser by ChainsDD then go to the play store and install Superuser by ClockworkMod. Then remove the ChainsDD version. If you have the ClockworkMod version installed and not working then install the ChainsDD version. Worked for me.
Something finicky about this 4.1.2 ROM. Modems and Superuser don't install properly and have to be installed twice.
Edit....supersu by chainfire is actually the version i am using now.
Well op.... what exactly did you flash?
If you flashed stock...and not a prerooted package, you're not rooted. Which is why there's no su binary.
Also, how did you try to root with Odin? If you used an old gingerbread method of flashing a kernel...that would indeed mess up the Rom.

after a million try's I found out how to fix the problem some of the people here give bits of the real way to deal with the un able to start supersu... fist thing use odin to flash philz 15. whatever file that you seen in the thread ( after clean catch and davik and factory reset) then flash the new 4.3 custom rom onto your note 2. Reboot your phone !!!! wen setting up your phone DO NOT set up your google e-mail account when it asks you. Just "skip" everything. NOTE... after you setup the language install from scratch you can always link your google account after everything i tell you to do and phone gets the superSU premissons... okay onto the last step do not open supersu, go to google playstore type in supersu and update it then turn off your phone without opening supersu then boot if everything is back to normal by checking get root checker witch can be downloaded from the app store... btw it was funny how one person said they were afraid of bricking there phone LOL its impossible to brick your phone unless your as brainless as him.. the main problem with jellybean 4.3 and your google account is that it blocks any programs like supersu from before your even able to start your phone. by not sync'ing the google account with your phone it allows supersu to install without GOOGLE blocking it... btw make sure you wipe all catch and select the option clear to flash new rom in philz recovery... one good luck guys this fix took me about 200 trys and 12 hours but its yours now...
Hello!
My phone (Cherry Mobile Bubble Android 2.3.5) was rooted before through Mobogenie's One Click Root. I don't have any problem my apps gaining root access. But i can't do software update, so i thought that's because of being rooted. So I did permanent root at SuperSU settings, and I have successfully updated my phone. But when I rooted my phone again, I can't gain root access through SuperSu. It always shows "Installation failed". I do have an update zip file on my sd cards root. But to no avail.
Please help. I'm noob regarding on this.
You cant just install SuperSU and expect it to work. You need to use your 1 click tool again. Or another full rooting method.
When you unrooted the binaries that was root were deleted.

I already did that. I've rooted it again through one click root, and it says i am rooted. But SuperSu says, installation failed. While superuser says, it can't gain root access.
I have lost root access before when I updated SuperSu, I can't remember what i did then. But i was able to get back root access.
If you have a custom recovery superSU has the option to flash the correct one manually.

Try Vroot, its another one click root method. I used it on my Note 3 and installed superSU afterwards. One downside is it's chinese, so its hard to read lol.
