im from philiphines..
Hope u can work also on DXKC1 froyo because here in my country DXKC1 was the latest update via KIES..
hihihi..hited thanks button already..kip helping^^
Nice Tut..
But i preferred KPN or KPH is Much better than Old Stock rom.. Lates Firmware are much smoother and Stable..
Besides even if you have v2.3.3+ Firmware like KPN from Kies you can still use your warranty because its an official stockROM.. Unless you rooted it or its a CostomROM with some tweaks..
NOYPI Here!

When solving problems, dig at the roots instead of just hacking at the leaves.

Thanks for the Tuts
Thanks OP, i was hoping to get my phone to the service center but the Downgrading part is pretty long from KPH to FroYo (First European froyo and then indian).
My trouble is shortened
will kies recognize it or keep saying update unavailable or cannot update this device
Anyone try this downgrade? So do this mean we can downgrade direct from GB europe to this asian version?
Finally!
I've tried to downgrade with KIES' fw but all of 'em don't work
This works.
Thnx)

hey,
i flashed cyanogenmod on my ray.. but after all u flashed the stock rom again from this forum (ftf via flashtool).
the thing is that SE companion software says (if i want to update /repair my firmware) that the firmware is modified and it wonmt update it. now my question: do i now always have to flash the new roms (for example when ICS will come) or is there a method to get back to the real stock rom so that SE companion will update/repair the firmware?
im on android 2.3.4. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1316070)
its rooted and the kernel is still the one from the cyanogenmod (i think- well, i didnt flash any new kernels after cyanogenmod..just flashed the rom)
bootloader is unlocked
hope you can help me..thx
yes after unlocking bootloader you always have to install stock firmwares via flash tool
use wotan server , it is a great way to install stock rom
hmm okay thanks! .. btw is there a way to lock the bootloader again so i can install the firmware with SE again?
thanks for the tip!
found a recovery that can let you flash stock rom 4.1.2 jb .. watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwbDs9Qk97k
now i can do what the video says, but is it necessary to download the stock firmware that came along with the phone when i got it? or can i choose whatever region from sammobile? doesn't make a difference right?
Correct.
I want to install the new KitKat firmware. I still haven't received for my SGP 311 (Germany WiFi).
I was wondering if it's possible to install it by hand which also means I need to download it from somewhere.
Is this possible? Like in Samsung Galaxy S2 phones, we can flash the firmware via ODIN
Thanks
You can use Flashtool (which is Sony's version of the ODIN) and Ftf file. However, I failed to find a Kitkat FTF for the SGP311. Seems like no one made it.
However, you can flash the SGP312 firmware, I think. You just have to exclude something related to partition sizes. I can't remember exactly what it is right now.

Hey guys, i wanna share with you guys some experience when i flashing the Pre-Rooted Firmware by Andro-Man here
I got bootloop and after workaround here the fix.
If u have latest stock rom with "ASKS Security"....before flashing Pre-Rooted Firmware, pls downgrade to the older version of stock rom.
How to know if u have "ASKS Security" installed ?
-Go to Settings > About Phone > Find "ASKS Security Version"
If dont have it then u are on the old version of stock rom and can do any root method or flash the pre-rooted firmware without any problem.
it is because the security block every possible way to root ur device even u using Kingoroot.
So how to downgrade to the older version of stock rom ? here:
-Download this rom
-Flash it using odin.
-and now try to flash the pre-rooted firmware
press the thanks the button if it work you
