[Q] Is possible to read USB's in NTFS format? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have download the app NTFS Mounter but it is not working with Galaxy S3.
I am able to read USB's in FAT32 format but I would like to read them in NTFS format.
Do you know if it is possible?

go with NTFS

I found that I got a little better performance using exFat over NTFS
I went with NTFS format cause I had some HD movies and some .mkv file formats that would not transfer to FAT32 because of the size of the files.

Is there a way to use NTFS on SD card in GS3?

I have read that some kernels allow sd card to be formatted NTFS and mounted to use in Android. Is this true? I would like to use my new 64gb sd card to copy large files using NTFS. What about xFat? Does Android recognize this?
ExFat works fine. My 64 GB card was recognized right out of the package.
Will exfat let me copy large files say 5-10 gigs each? Fat32 of course does not. Sorry for noob questions. Thanks for info.

Exfat does work with large files. It might not work with non stock kernels though.

Read ntfs and fat32

hi, i'm using XXELK4 (4.1.2) with stock kernel and stock recovery, what do i need in order to be able to read ntfs pen drives and fat32 ones?
i already have the usb otg cable.
kind regards
For Fat32 you have to do nothing, it's default
For NTFS you need root and Paragon exFAT, NTFS & HFS+ for example (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.paragon.mounter)

There are some apps which are for mounting pendrives with ntfs format. ..though I had tried once with a 1TB hdd... But it didn't work. ..
Its mostly coz there was shortage of power....
Theres usb mass storage watcher, stickmount etc (you'll find it in play store)... They say that they can mount ntfs ones...
If you want to mount ntfs formatted sd card...theres ntfs2sd ..
