Question about XT910 Maxx - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hi I am new to the forum, and currently use a Atrix 4g with At&t as my provider.
If I was to purchased the Motorola XT910 Maxx, which from my understanding is the GSM version of VRW Droid Razr Maxx, will I be able to utilize At&t's 4g network with the XT910 Maxx or will I be stuck with 3g?

Anyone?

I already using RAZR MAXX xt910. It only support upto WCDMA which means only GSM 3G, not 4G supported for T-Mobile network.

it supports at&t H (hsdpa, so "4g", not lte but better than regular 3g if it does H+)

Confirm. You will get 3G+ (HSDPA), not LTE/4G.

Thanks for your replied. But do you have any idea with T-Mobile 3G?
Tmo uses 1700mhz band for 3g , you wont be able use tmo 3g with xt910.

Droid RAZR XT910....

I have the XT910 version of the RAZR and was wondering. What does it mean?
Can I use it on TMOBILE?

pretty much yes.
the xt910 is the gsm version of the razr.
it only gets 3g on at&t frequencies.
so you'll be stuck on edge unless t-mobile refarms 3g in your area (you also may need to cut your sim as the razr uses a micro sim, the only difference that i know of is size)
I put NY Sim in but it still said, no Sim. Ima go get an official one. So I wont be able to use tmobiles 3g or 4g?

The Droid Razr XT910 only has 3G and HSDPA (evolved 3G or "fake" 4G) so no LTE no matter what your carrier supplies.
I dont want lte. But will it work on tmobiles 3g or 4g? And does it automatically means its "unlocked"

The Droid Razrs from verizon will be unlocked for gsm global use within next ICS update. Some users in sone versions of the leaked ics are reporting its fully working thought gsm networks.
Hope this is the info you're looking for.
Cheers

Kinda but thanks for the reply. I already have a GSM version of the RAZR, NOT the Verizon branded version. So shouldn't my phone work with Tmobile out the box and also even on GB 2.3.6
Which is what it came wit. I cant even install Verizon roms on mines w/o the gsm patch I guess

It will work on T-Mobile's 1X network, EDGE. You cannot get 3G unless you are using AT&T in the US because the XT910 doesn't support T-Mobile's LTE, HSPA, or 3G frequencies.

Oh! I see. Read the above post from [TSON] its an accurate information.
BTW. It's 'Droid Razr XT910' in OP but all 'Droid' phones are from verizon. Your's are Motorola Razr XT910. This may be usefull for future reference.
Cheers

[Q] RAZR GSM compatible

I'm going to buy a GSM RAZR (XT910) and have some questions :
1. Does it work with T-mobile network ? (3G / 4G)
2. How satisfied are you with this phone ?
it does not supprt t-mobile 3/4g (it will if t-mobile refarms the 1900mhz band in your are)
i am currently using it on simple mobile (t-mobile MNVO?), and get a throttled edge speed of 110-167kbps dl and up to 1000kbps upload.
i will be swtitching to t-mobile soon, as i get great reception with this phone compared to other phones i have had, and simple doesn't even use all the t-mo towers.
the only downside is if you want a white/blue/or purple razr it won't be a maxx. so the battery life is only ok. otherwise i love the phone, it works great and i havent had any problems with it.
Can u unlock the Verizon razr and use it on Straight Talk? And 3g/4g?

Straight Talk has the option for t-mobile or AT&T sims, so with the at&t sim you would get 3/4g
from what i know you can't unlock it for domestic carriers yet, they are working on it.
so for now you'd need the xt910 (xt912 is verizon, 910 is simfree)

CDMA or GSM

I just recently switched to Verizon Wireless and bought a Motorola RAZR Maxx XT912 and I am not sure if its CDMA or GSM. And I have no idea how to figure out either.
CDMA.

Verizon and Sprint (Virgin, Boost) = CDMA
Tmobile and ATT = GSM
If your phone says Verizon on it then it is CDMA.
Also, the XT912 is CDMA, and the XT910 is the GSM version.
