Whats a good camera app to use? Stock one has a huge lag when i open it, sometimes missing the moment, you know.

use the 'ics camera' app from the market. cool UI and looks like ICS but is actually for gingerbread good for those of us who do not want to unlock bootloader to get ICS because we are scared of bricking our baby.

Unfortunately, the video capture in CameraICs somehow FC/bugs. But if camera/panaroma shooting is awesome

i have the latest firmware and i dont have any mediascape effects. the effects im talking about is when you open up mediascpae, your photos kinda swirl in. now they just appear :/ anyway to get the effects back?

Yes it does, but i hope the next update will make time- & mediascape much better
i dont think there will be another major update for x10 since the lastest one was the uxp update..

What'st the best camera on a 2.2 rom? The reason I am not trying out all the roms which I wish I could is cuz I am a college student currently needing a stable rom all the time and trying out them all the time will slow me down. 2.2 freeX10 is awesome but the camera on it has no zoom. which 2.2 rom has a zoom for the camera? If any of the roms don't, which rom will get it first. Unless thats a stupid question?

Get vignette from the market....zoom works on it, and its probably the best app for pictures and quality hands down. Im using the paid version right now on freex10....works awesome

You can, but I prefer Vignette
im not sure u can port over the original stock camera or they would hav done it

Vignette works flawlessly, just wished the development had implemented video rec too. As for importing the 2.1 stock camera, I tried and it crashed never to work again. Found a nice time lapse camera that worked though lol

I meant I had the app vengetta or I think its called. No, I mod my own phones, not build firmwares and stuff. That's too much out of my league.

you cant put the 2.1 stock camera. its not compatible with 2.2
hello everyone I am new in xda and I used almost all rom everything is just great but I am not satisfied with camera app can anyone please upload stock camera flashable zip I know there are many dev who can do this if anyone do it I am very thankful .....
It is not possible, because the libraries of the LG camera stock are not compatible with CM7.
Use lgCamera, search in the market, is the best option to replace the crappy camera of CM7
Even for photographs, the app Camera360 is the best of all

Just use devoid froyo final, its still the best rom out there
try AOSP rom..the camera is good, i mean the quality of pics taken is better.

There is no free lunch. As already mentioned the stock app is not compatible with CM.
a. Stick with froyo roms for stock camera app.
b. If you want gingerbread then learn to live with CM app or other third party apps.

I have found myself a cool solution to use both cm7 and the stock lg camera
Just use the multiboot. currently i have milk cm7 6.5.8 and devoid froyo.
The guy spent alot of time thonking he could get lg stock camera, i seriously doubt he could understand how usé multi boot

Sweep panorama is working with your X8?? Mine is giving FC.

hey i upgraded the atrix to the 4.1.2 of epinter ( tried aokp for a while, now trying this. i think that in the next week ill change some roms untill i find the best rom) after more then a year with the motoblur(i hate motorola, really), and now my atrix is pretty awesome. though i dont have a camera app ( not sure why), i downloaded some free camre apps but they are working as shi*. is there any good camera app (maybe including video, but not have to) for free\paid? dont really need effectes just a good camera that can work.thanks

I use Camera ZOOM FX (paid) and Camera 360 (free) and they both with nicely.

i only tried the AtrICS rom as an android 4.0+ rom and what i discovered was that the flasher is not timed correctly. It flashes before the pic is taken so the pic is dark though the flasher is on. And the flasher brightness was also low. aren't you having such problems? If not in my opinion best camera app for an ICS or newer rom is camera JB+. i flashed back to mrom because there were many issues, not only camera problems. And now the camera's flasher is timed correctly back again and the flasher brightness is also strong as before. So if you are not using an android 4.0+ ROM i would go for camera ICS+ or Pro capture

i have this issue on epinters december build. but it's all timed now. even microshots were lookin good. epinters feb 20 build.

oh really? i can't actually make a purchase right now so maybe you can give it a shot :fingers-crossed:
there is a 4.2 modded camera app that must be flashed in CWM, it enables a lot of features not avaible by default in the devices, you should search it in apps and games(or development) in Android General, dude, that is the best camera app i used in my phone, but ya know, opinion is like an a**, each one have its own.
The Leaked ICS camera app is the best I have used, is it possible to port it over to another ROM (CM10)?
Actually I use Wondershare PowerCam it's free, no ads, nice effects, faster startup time and maybe a better picture quality against my paid Camera Zoom Fx!
Now, I'm going to test FxCamera and Cymera
I have tried a few camera apps as well but ultimately settled on camera zoom FX. It takes pretty nice shots without having to surf through a bunch of set up options. but it also has features you might use down the road. I'm more of a point and shoot type person so YMMV.
