Well it seems like no-one what's to deal with E3D anymore... Only a few dev still on top of it. Maybe its time for s new perchase of the lte. So the e3d will rest peacefully in my dresser drawer.

You don't know what you're talking about. There are still plenty of devs working away at it. We have 4 Sense 4.0 ROMs in active development, countless 3.6 ROMs, and Agrabren and Co. are almost there on camera for AOSP. Toast is working on Wimax.

They describe the evo 4g lte as though it were a "god", when in reality it just is a little faster than the 3d and has a slightly bigger screen.
I consider it a waste of money.

You will be happy - until a newer, shinier, more powerful toy comes along. That's the nature of the beast. Then there will be the "why didn't I wait" threads popping up on the LTE site.
I'm probably going to wait until htc's next sprint flagship.
We already all know what qualcomm has in store, so I already know why I'm going to wait.
Also, I use my 4g, and don't see lte in my town too soon
3,its really not a huge upgrade... lets be honest. Internal hardware is more of a refresh than a upgrade, and yes I know how fast the s4 is.

actually I'll be happy for another year when they come with their next offering...just like I was happy for the year I had the 3d except the development for the lte will be much better because there won't be any proprietary drivers withheld that keeps roms from being complete ala cm9 a year later and still no camera. Cm9 is further along on the lte and its only been out a few weeks.

No idea, I was really looking forward to it and excited for it till I went to a sprint store and tried it out for myself. I swear it felt cheap.. like If I could just crush it with my bare hands. had it side by side Nexus and felt as if the Nexus had a better screen quality than it. The only thing I liked was how they integrated the Music apps into one.

In all these leaked specs on the Evo 3D I have not seen one mention that it will have 4G. I hope they don't ditch 4G on the Evo for 3D. Honestly I have no use for 3D, but the specs are nice and the phone should fly. Depending on how much $ it costs, I may sell my Evo and pick one of these up and pay for it without an upgrade. If anoyone has any info on whether or not this will support 4G please share. Thanks!
I doubt they would ditch 4G to replace it solely for 3D when consumer trends show how poorly people are buying up 3D items and how everyone wants their phone to be faster and have 4G.

Specs look awesome. What I'd be really interested to see if they improved the camera quality by reducing the megapixels. Also, non overexposed/motion blur pictures using flash would be nice.

Sprint has already told me they won't extend my current upgrade beyond 4/1. If they don't release this beast before 4/1 I'm going to be sorely disappointed in them.

I am so all over this phone, specs-wise. would love to know what it looks like (hopefully not like that pyramid thang).

After two weeks with this phone, im sad to say this was a let down on htc's part. I have never a had an htc phone have so many issues. For me the camera crashing so often that i misser ahots of my daughter this weekend, and that was using the normal 2d camera. Looks like im going to be checking the photon or just going to the nexus 4g

ive never had a problem returning a phone that was rooted.. the people at my local store are all idiots and dont pay attention.. But then again i am in detroit..
Fyi I've had the 3vo and now own the photon. Ill give some comparisons.
The phone feels good in hand and feels very good compared to 3vo. Speaker onphoton blows evo away. Games run super smooth on photon. For example n64oid goldeneye on 3vo lag made it unplayable, the photon had little lag but i was able to finish the first level no problem. Also i liked that u can hook up wiimote right out the box instead of waitng for root. As for video camera photon had 0 slutter while the 3vo had too much for my taste. Still pictures were about even even though its an 8mp camera.
As for ui. Sense is way better imo and blur is meh. Also the photon lags a little, but i installed launcher pro and now its good. Oh yea i forgot to mention reception, the main reason why i returned the 3vo! Photon is top notch in that department. Reception was excellent and call quality was great. With the 3vo i had terrible reception.

Photon will have much less dev support & will probably be a long time before it's unlocked. Motorola said they were going to start unlocking the bootloaders, but it has not started yet. The Photon is locked. I have to admit it does have nice specs and looks good too, but I personally will stick with my Evo 3D.

Trust me, im no troll. Why post about returning it? Theres already 30,000 threads about everyone *****ing over the phone. The photon will not see as much Dev activity like the 3D will. Trust me on that one. Look at how strong the 4G is going. Imagine the "3VO"

Ok, thank you, and yes I hit the thanks button. Your second post had something that actually is pertaining to my original post. Honestly, I chose to stick with the 3VO anyway.
I'd just suck up the "3VO" and get used to it, it isn't going anywhere.
Oh, by the way, I don't refer to it as "three-vo", it just looks cooler (opinion), and I find it faster than typing "EVO 3D"

I really love my EVO lte, but the fact it was left out of the upgrade list, when it's the best of the One series, is disconcerting. I've been watching how they handle the 3D upgrade, and it seems to be following the same path.
Even Samsung has figured out the importance of taking care of their flagship device.

Unlike the one series, which are HTC's flagship, the evo lte is sprints flagship. The update may take slightly longer due to the carriers interference, but the development for the phones will most likely be in parallel. Its not HTC's gig to really announce updates for it months in advance, their Job is to support and develop for it, while sprint takes care of all PR's and announcements.
Sprint would never in a million years not update the evo lte, they're just being quiet because that's how carriers do business. Once they are close, we should hear an announcement
Been playing with Google Now for a few days now on my LTE. It works... but seems a little slow as compared to the search capabilities that came stock. It also keeps on updating me with how long it is going to get home. I guess it wants me to leave work REALLY bad. LOL!

I've been playing with jb and Google now for an hour or so on my Xoom. I'm really digging the voice recognition, but just starting to play with the whole card setup. I think it is going to be a big hit when it finally rolls put to more people.

exactly what i was thinking and Id actually be ok with running daily with that phone naked unlike my Evo LTE which i must have in a case or I baby it like a fragile piece of glass...
Guess we will see what HTC has in store on the 19th..I was going to go to Verizon a while back but didn't because they didn't have a One Series phone...Here's to hoping not all rumors are BS because i'd like for this to be true so I can finally have some real 4G

Enjoy locked bootloader on VZ.... They still have a tend to be pita when they want with unlocking and all....
Won't see me flinch at a phone till the next EVO or least next year...won't see 800Mhz LTE in phones till then at least for us...
They slip on the no kickstand on that phone as well...
Also worry about having separate chips running one for the radio and one to drive the device as that will be the case of it does have the quad-core in it rumored... Won't be as efficient as ours which have them integrated all in one SoC...
Also it looks that it has the same number of icons on a screen as ours does now...just more spacing between the bottom row and first set...woulda expected another row being added with the resolution and size change...

Sneak peaks of SGS4 were released today too. I like the square corners on it. They are saying it will be 5 inch as well. Looks good!
I hope Sprint gets this quad core S4 One X5 tho!

That does look wicked. As much as I've loved HTC over the years, from here on out I'm done with them until they change their bootloader policy. I got S-off, but if I have yo get a replacement, I'm screwed and I'm tired of that BS.

Word! I'll give HTC one more shot. They are heading in the right direction with de-bloating sense, especially with the latest firmware. I also want to see what new features Google will put in Key Lime Pie or whatever the next OS version is.

its a concept photo(but backed by some blurry cam shots of a phone that looks pretty damn close)
The posted SGS4 pics are concept too so who the hell knows lol...HTC has some soul searching to do and i just cant yet go back to Samsung after the god damn Instinct...The Evo LTE will suffice for now but i got my eyes open and will not hesitate to switch carriers unless Sprint flips the switch quick enough in the central Florida area.
