HTC boot screen - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I had one on my EVO 4G. I am looking for an alternative boot screen (not the boot animation, the one before that) that has a black background instead of the stock white one. I can't seem to find one around here. The one for my old EVO was a flashable zip file that replaced the stock one.

New Google Search??

Anyone know if theres a way to get the new google voice search to work on the evo lte...looks pretty sweet but couldnt find anything on it...thanks
Even if anyone could just post the current apk from their system/app/ or data/app/ folder. I really want the real Search app on CM9. It's the only thing missing, IMHO. Aside from that one thing missing, this is nearly flawless. I'm very surprised, since we don't have a real CM9 kernel yet due to lack of source. (Hint hint, HTC)

here is the original Google search pulled
I think he's talking about the new google now voice search included in jellybean.
I can't find much information about it either.

if the jellybean voice assistant apk/apks work on ICS, I will poop myself :cyclops: anyone tried to extract them from a JB phone and slap them on XDA?

All of it? I got Google Now just working only on the search and only by typing, has a network error, and no voice search.
But like he said sharing is caring if you already have everything working

Same here, except I don't have the network error. The current one is already posted.

Works quite decent. Voice search within Google Now does not work. This is kinda buggy, actually to the point that I may revert and wait til more progress is made. Have fun.

Yes! Ok thabks, I downloaded that file earlier today but never had the chance to give it a try, because I had to go to work. But thanks for verifying that it works

I'd download the one that's in the O.P. there are several versions, that have different results. The one by Theoso is the one you want.

Ya that's the one I got. Works but voice doesn't ( I know that's an issue), also sometimes a little slow

Could someone post the apk? There's many linked.

Ok... I found the latest one. It works except for voice search and it can be a little slow.

HTC confirms Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for HTC EVO 3D

It will come after update of One X and One S in line with One V
I do not know where is the link but it is true. But I think it will be in the third wave because there is Sensation as well

Unfortunately, this is useless information without proof. I really don't see it happening. And I'll probably be on a different device if/when it comes to Sprint.

Who cares if Sprint release it?
HTC are the ones we would NEED to support it first.
Sprint will just bugger around with it after HTC would supply it, same as any network. If HTC refuse then Sprint can do nothing

I understand that, but we don't even have ICS source for cdma, and we are supposed to get JB? thats more along the lines of what I meant. Either way, I will probably be running a copy of it before sprint even thinks about supporting it. Love the dev's around here!
Moral of the story ...don't post without proof
I don't think HTC will upgrade anything earlier than the one range because essentially they will have to develop two types of ROMs ...for the one series with imagesense and the rest of the range without image sense capabilities.
But you never know, shout enough and maybe they'll listen
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I truly think HTC isn't going to put the time and effort into doing the Jelly Bean update for it. And after this joke with the ICS update, do you really think Sprint is going to push it?
Now, can the EVO 3D run Jelly Bean, probably. Will we see it without rooting, no.

I'm pretty sure this isn't actually going to happen. There's no indication of it anywhere. And even if OP provides a link, unless it's from multiple sources, it doesn't hold water.

Which roms will work if I have a page plus HTC EVO LTE

So I just flashed the evo LTE to Page Plus and I was wondering if any of the ROMs here will work on it. For instance can I flash viper 4g on it or does that only work for sprint?
Thank you

I usually do it if it was my phone. But I was gonna do it for a friend. Wanted to know ahead of time before I break his phone lol. Anyways, if I don't get any response here, I will be getting another Evo LTE by Friday. I'm supposed to flash it to page plus and sell it. But im gonna play with it a little and see if any rooms will work on it. :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Just confirmed that roms do work when The evo is flashed to page plus.
I have one for sale if anyone wants one, $350 on page plus

Venom Viper4G works: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2124391
The only thing that it can't do is voicemail Message Waiting Indicator (MWI), or commonly called voicemail notification. But I would think that the stock Sprint ROM suffers from the same issue, because Sprint modified phone.apk to not use the native MWI, but rather use Visual Voicemail. I hear that there's some phone.apk from an AOSP ROM that can be installed to fix that, but I can't find one that works. I tried one from CM10.0, which is based on AOSP, but it keeps crashing.
Btw, CM10.0 also works on our phone. However, depending on your Touch Screen firmware, the touch screen will be useless, so you'll either have to downgrade the Touch Screen firmware, or load a Sense-based ROM like Viper4G.
Viper4G, btw, is awesome.

S-Off

So how many have seen this? What's your take on it?

They probably achieved s-off via jtag.. so it will be a while before devs achieve s-off. Not saying they can't do it.
Sent from my HTC Fireball using xda premium
wow interesting!
What exactly is jtag? I'm not a noob but I'm definitely not a dev... I also noticed the bootloader still said locked so I'm assuming they didn't have to use HTC dev first like my EVO LTE(just left sprint for T-Mobile). I'd like to keep from having to register my phone with HTC dev in case of warranty issues

Jtag is a service that can flash motherboards, they can unbrick them, root them, s-off, ect. Its only because they have the files from HTC them selves to do it. I have talked to them before in my HTC inspire 4g days.... Ide love to have an evo, 2nd best phone on the market

Just do a little reading on the ROM you're interested in, beforehand. Some can get a little wonky when it comes to AT&T icons, at least.
