Hi!
The code usedin the I9100 does not seem to work here.
Does anyone know what the code for finding the product code of the I9300 is?
Thanks!
edit:
used check fus application.. no secret codes needed!
Any help on this?
it will be there in the box right? or in the back of the mobile below battery
Can you clarify what you mean by product code? Are you meaning the CSC? Country Code?

if he meant the csc and pda version then he can use *#1234# in the dialer
Sorry for not being specific.
The code I mean is *2767*4387264636#
On my I9100 it gives me the product code GT-I9100LKAPTR for example and some more info.
But I can't make it work on the I9300..
I'm getting an error: Error: "Connection problem or invalis MMI code
tried the same code with a comma after it (*2767*4387264636#,) still does not work..
Product Code options if secret codes don't work:
1. Sticker/label on box
2. Check Fus https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.johnan.checkfus will display

I would think factory reset, and immediately flash stock complete firmware package will give another recognise PC. If you do the same, but mix firmware from different builds (ie kernel, CSC, modem, ROM base), you will have an unrecognised PC.

Check this link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manniakk.cscselector&hl=en
It's the official Samsung S/S2/S3 CSC selector on Google Play Store. I have tried it & it works easily.
Take into consideration the following:
1) Your installed firmware/ROM should have a multi CSC to be able to use this app.
2) No need to root your device. The only device that needs rooting is the one mentioned under the description of the app. However, the extreme majority of devices can use this app easily.
3) Once you change your device's CSC, you will lose ALL your data. So backing up your device is recommended.
Good luck.

the product code and csc codes are not the same thing.
The product code will be something like GT-I9300RWDBTU
The first part is the general model number, GT-I9300
the second part describes the exact model, RWD
the third part is the csc code, BTU.
The product code on my phone says not active and I've been trying for months to find a solution to repair it.
has any body got any ideas?
Many thanks

My note 3 also shows product code not active... Searched many forums but no solutions found. So wondered if s3's product code not active problem's solution might help.
I fixed my problem by resetting the phone using a z3x box. A Couple of hours reading up on how to use it but then it took 5 mins to sort the problem.

Does anybody know how to find the original CSC code? I have updated my firmware several times and I don't have the original CSC Code.
Now when I connect to KIES It says "This version of the device can not be updated".
Help
Type *#272*(IMEI)# and you will see the CSC list.Select and done.By doing this it will reboot via (if i remember correctly)factory reset so may be a good idea to back-up but it should warn you first that it will fact/reset so if you want you can cancel and back-up if you havnt already.
EDIT:also depending on what firmware you put on your phone and depending on what your product code also is Kies might not recognize your firmware either.

Thanks for your opinion. There are several CSC Codes and I don't know what code to select. Because I don't know what my original CSC Code was.

Depending on the firmware it may or may not be in there but for singapore see if there is an OLB in there. Some multi CSC packages dont always have what you want. For example most here in XDA dont have FOP for Spain so Im left using KOR instead which is Korea. It works atleast. If its not there you could try OZS for HongKong

it appears that XDA and samfirmware have conflicting CSCs for india.Samfirmware may 11 for India have ODD and XDA have INU.
Currently I have installed XEU (I think UK). So will this be problem? Actually I don't have sound idea about CSC?

The CSC is just location specific apn settings and maybe bundles apps. Nothing hugely important.
If you are missing your apn settings did net or mms you can just enter them manually or change CSC.

In most cases i wont make any difference. As I said earlier sometimes here in Spain Im forced to use KOR which is Korea and it works fine.If you have an original firmware flashed for your region it should be in there but I find that in my case when I flash the XDA firmwares they usually are missing my CSC although they can be flashed seperatly. If you have a KOR then give it a try to as its probably a better region choice.if it works here in Spain it should be good for Singapore.
Hi,
You can get the Original CSC Code of the phone by using my app: Phone INFO ★Samsung★
Download link in my signature.
So you necroed a 2.5 yr old thread just to post an ad, eh ? Nice one
My last one got stolen (long story), and annoyingly this new one won't let me change CSC even after flashing with Odin. When I go to the change CSC option, only one I'm given in the list is VOD. BTU and the others aren't even there to choose from.
Can anyone help me out?
On a side note, it also won't connect to Kies any more either...

Yea, tried that, still no luck. Anyway, I solved the problem now. I just downloaded the FW prior to the link in the OP above, and that had the BTU options. After that I just upgraded to the latest FW using Kies.
HI,
I have read all the other threads I can find on this subject but cannot find an answer, I purchased a GT-19300 from Ebay (don’t laugh) it worked great for a couple of weeks, then I updated it with stock JB upgrade from ICS, and now it will not register on the network, I have re flashed it returned it stock, re flashed it, checked all the settings I can find, tried other sim cards from the same network and other networks, all with the same result, it shows the network in the network status screen, gives signal strength, I have checked the basic settings with another phone and all are the same. the phone is unlocked, all I did was update to Android 4.1.1 I have also since downloaded a modem rom and flashed that, did not make a difference. Device state is Normal, but the serial number is 000000000000 I am in the UK and my network is orange, but as I said I have tried an O2 sim as well with the same result. Please help!! Thanks

Hello all,
I've bought a code to unlock my Galaxy S II GT-I9100, and it didn't work. The seller was kind enough to refund me, but my problem is still not solved.
Some things to consider:
- I don't have a rooted phone, or any interest on rooting it.
- I've already gone to my Service Provider (Vodafone Portugal) and they asked for an absurd amount of money to do the job.
So, I'm reluctant in buying another code from ebay since the problem may still be there.
One seller says this:
"With the correct SIM card inserted type *#7465625# into the keypad, you will then be presented with a personalization screen similar to the following. If after entering the above code you get an "Invalid MMI code" error message do not buy this service. Your phones firmare may have corrupt data and may reject the code, reinstall the firmware using Samsung KIES and check you no longer get the error message before ordering"
I get the Invalid MMI code.
I've tried to reinstall the firmware using KIES, but it says 'GT-i9100 does not support initialising'.
I've made a factory reset and still get the Invalid MMI code.
TL;DR Can you help me unlock my phone?
Thank you all in advance!
-----------------------------
EDIT: SOLVED!
Steps to fix:
- I used this guide to root the phone (If you have your phone already rooted, forget this.)
- Install this app and it's done! (Thanks to marjune23!)

Does this solution require root?
Thank you all for the answers. The problem in going to the carrier, is that my phone was bought with a company contract, and they need a company authorization, otherwise they refuse unlocking the phone.
I am not interested in rooting the phone, but thanks anyway.
Looks like somebody is paying for an unlock code from a carrier then.
