Ebay is very very strict about selling counterfiets. I would say overall they're most likely real.

Beats by Dr. Dre Monster iBeats Earbuds Headphones from HTC Rezound
These Dr. Dre iBeats Earbuds are priced to sell out quickly- so act now. A major telecommunication firm bundled these custom made ibeats with a major cell phone and we got a great deal on the excess.

Lol, HTC says they can't give you headphones anymore because they can't source them, and then Verizon sells them as excess to an eBay seller because they have too many. I guess the phone wasn't a resounding success.
Just a reZounding one )))
There just the beats from the rezound seems legit.
Are these even worth it? I've been skeptical about the whole Beats stuff, and if they're actually worth it or just a gimmick. I haven't gotten around to test them because... well I haven't found the opportunity to. I can PROBABLY test the overhead headphones, but I doubt I'll be able to find these for testing.
Can anyone with legitimate experience with headphones confirm if these In-ear ones are worth getting?
Coming from someone who has owned Solo HDs, Tours, Studios, and iBeats, I would say the in ear ones are not worth it, period, and that its better to invest in the over the ear, for two reasons.
One, I usually use in ear headphones for casual use, in the gym, anywhere where I just stuff them in my picket after using them. So I don't really take care of them at all, and the headphone plug is usually the thing that breaks. The plug on the Beats is nothing special, the actual speakers are. So with that in mind, I broke my Tours 3 months in twice, and now awaiting the warranty ones to come in so I can sell them new. I prefer $20 JVC Marshmellow headphones since again, I don't use in ears for anything special. And if they break, just go and buy another pair, nothing to freak out about. Great sound too, and very light.
Now for the on ear ones, Solo HDs and Studios, I've listened to plain Solos and for the extra $30, the quality is definitely noticeable. The Solos just are a bass house, while the Solo HDs are a lot more balanced and have better sound. The Studios are better, clearly, and offer real notice cancellation that actually works. The only downside, is the constant use of batteries. I hated that. I prefer my Solo HDs to the Studios mainly because of that. Now, if the cable on the Solos/Studios breaks, I can simply get another for $5-15, depending the the brand since its just a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm, nothing proprietary or fancy.
In the end, using White Solo HDs and loving every second. Hope this helps.

iBeats sucks in my opinion. It's really bass heavy and both treble and bass are muddy. After a short period of time, they actually start to hurt the inside of your ear canals. They aren't worth $200 like eBay says, they're worth $99. But $40 is a good price for mediocre headphones. If you want to spend a little extra cash, I would recommend you get the klipsch s4i. I switched to them after using the iBeats for a year and I'm disappointed at what I've been missing this whole time. They're balanced, bass heavy when need be, and they don't hurt after prolonged periods of use. I love my klipsch s4i's. They're $99 as well.
I'm not trashing Beats btw, the big headphones from Dr. Dre are pretty good. Albeit a bit pricey.

I'm not that impressed with the sound quality on the flyer and was looking into getting some over, or on, the ear headphones. Any of you guys have suggestions for some nice quality ones?

There are literally hundreds of great over the ear headphones out there, but because I travel on airplanes a lot, I use a set of the Sony Active noise cancelling phones and they are magnificent. I don't remember the model number but I will look it up. I paid about $70 on sale for them. They fold nicely into a case.

My opinion of Beats by Dr. Dre is pretty much the same as most Monster products. Stylish and high quality but over priced and over speced without providing additional technical listening benefits for the overages. Plenty of equal or better products at half the price unless you are into fashion plates.

What I don't like about V Moda is their low durability. I've owned a few V-Modas and I practically babied them, but still, they lose their volume.
What's your price range admiral? Do you need noise cancelling and what type of music do you listen to?

I bought some Beats Solo HD's for my son for Xmas and was actually very surprised by the sound quality. I honestly think they sound better than my Sennheiser's (which I paid $220 for).
On top of it, I only paid $130 for his (on sale).
I am not normally an advocate for overpriced stuff, but when looking for headphones I didn't rule out anything.
I went to a few electronics places that sell headphones and had them available for listening. I have actually compared Sennheiser, Skullcandy, Bose and Beats. I have also used Vmoda (which fell apart) as well as many other types for Bluetooth and wired in-ear from Sony, Panasonic and so on.
All that said, the Beats Pro had the best sound in my opinion, however @400 dollars they are cost prohibitive. Then come the Bose, which sound well enough, but by comparison seem kind of flimsily constructed. The Sennheiser are a little better built, but the sound leaves a little to be desired (when comparing the different headphones head-to-head). The Skullcandy are good disposable headphones. The Panasonic "Marshmallows" if you can find them are a solid in-ear with marshmallow squishy ear pieces like most of the isolating disposable earplugs, which isolate sound very well.
I hate to give the Beats the credit, but the really do sound better, so I went out on my local Craigslist and found a lightly used pair for $200. This is definitely worth the money. If your not sure which to pick, then head to a local Best Buy, FYE, or other music store that sells headphones, you can actually try out some of the more popular models. What sounds good to one person, may not sound as nice to another person because the music type plays a huge role in selection.
I strongly suggest Panasonic "Marshmallows" for a great headphone under $20. I found out my local Big Lots was selling them for $10. I bought a pair for my siblings, and backup for me over the holidays.
The buds have plenty of bass, and because they effectively suppress the outside noise you don't need to turn up volume as loud. They are great workout phones. They don't come out easily, and they really block out all the annoyances that come with every gym.
What are some of the best premium headphones for the s2? I'm looking to spend between $100 - $200. I actually don't care if they are headphones or earbuds just as long as they fit in my pocket.

I am a headphone junky... (I couldn't possibly name all the ones I've ever had haha) but all I can say is beats are overpriced for what they are. If you want a truly good pair of headphones, get the ultrasone hfi 580's. The sound is absolutely amazing!! Has a lot of bass but is is very tight, and not muddy (like the beats are). Also there is no lack in the highs and midrange. Of all the headphones I have used, there is nothing that comes close in my opinion. They are about $140 so they also fall in your range.
I just got the Klipsch S4 Reference and they look and sound amazing!

I can't see that ever being worth it. I got some sennheiser cx200s (I think) recently on sale for 15 and they're awesome.
Klipsch, Sennheiser, Shure - all well respected high-end brands
Skullcandy is well below the price range you state but they offer good "bang for your buck", especially if you buy a set of Comply foam eartips for their earbuds.
Bose and Beats are massively overpriced crap.
Q&A or Accessories... Q&A or Accessories... where oh where do I throw this thread?
Moved to Accessories.
I am using Ultimate Ears 600 with my SGS 2, got for $78 from Amazon during Christmas sale. You can find it around $80 on amazon from time to time; however, you will probably want to buy 600vi, it has mic and controls and as much as I know everything but volume control works there. These are armature headphones and renewed superfi 5, so if you listen bass and not music, I would not recommend though. Klipsch S4 are also good from what I heard, but according to this and this theme, UI has better build quality quality, but S4i sounds better.... but I cannot personally comment how they differ. One thing, I am happy with UI 600.
Also just noticed that superfi 10 on sale again. This are one of the best IEM on the market. There is also vi version, with mic and so on, but I never saw it to go on sale, and you can buy replacement cable with mic for superfi 10 from logitech website anyway.
And yes, should agree about beats, as overpriced crap made and sold my same company who sells overpriced cables.
Don't get Beats.. They're overpriced useless things. Quality of sound and build is nothing compared to better companies such as Bose and Sennheiser. I'd suggest getting a pair of those. I have CX 400's and they're very good. Of course you can get higher-priced pairs. They really do make a difference in sound. For people who say otherwise, try a pair of 200 dollar headphones/earbuds and then try a pair of 10 dollar JVCs... It's night and day.

To each his own i guess.. The earbuds sound awesome.. Deep bass and very very clear. For everyone that says they don't- well that's just stupid. They could be a little over priced but the sound quality is the best I've heard coming out of ANY earbuds. Even uses Monster cable.. (high-end stereo/speaker wire).. Depends who you are.. Someone like me is't gonna spend any less than $100 bucks anyway, regardless of what kind of headphones i get and when you get up in that price range (unless your spending $3/$400), your selection greatly gets narrowed down.. Agreed 100 fold. Beats are for people who don't know anything about balanced sound and just want muddy thumping. They don't even have as much of a kick as they should for what they're going after.
I personally have Phonak Audeo PFEs. I bought them for use with an mp3 player and not a phone so I'm not sure how they'd work out there. I am one who with always tune my equalizer to get the sound I want, and the PFEs are great in that regard. They have a very balanced sound which lets me EQ to my hearts content without getting any sort of distortion. The low end is a bit lacking compared to other headphones I've had (like Hippo VBs and CX300s) but they have better mid and high range to compensate.

I'd recommend these SOUL by Ludacris SL150CB for the perfect sound quality. I'm amazed by how clean these sound. They are more expensive than those you're looking at and they're over-ear. Just a friendly suggestion. Plus they have in-line controls with a mic. (They actually come with 2 cables, one with the in-line and one without it).
As for in-ear, I haven't used any of those, but would recommend the Bose based on past experience with their products. Generally they just have a cleaner sound. I might recommend the SOUL in-ear headset also. I'm not sure if they have the in-line control, but they should have some with it. The headphones I have are very clean sounding with just the right amount of bass for everything. Just a thought
If you are lucky you can still find Klipsch X5 for under $100 still, bass is clear with instrument that is better than the others listed here. Its actually a $225+ iem that are on sale for under $100 now. The S4 is a bit sibilant vs the others, but bass production is solid for the price.
I would also say really take a look at the Monster Turbine line, may not be as flashy or what not as the Beats, but they sound better for the same price as the Beats(after all Monster is the company that made the Beats line). Trust me these are way better than the iBeats and the Beats by Dre, at the same price.

I should sell mine too, I have a pair of Etymotic ER-4's I've been using for a couple years now.

I had the Shure SE215, and sold them, I thought the sound was very weak. I DO however have the Shure SE530s and these are the best in-ear phones in existance, bar none!! Assuming you're not in the market for $350-$400 earbuds, however, for ~ $75 (they were $55 when I got them) the klipsch s4s sound fantastic. I compared them against the bose, and thought they (the klipsch) sounded much better. ymmv
If sound quality is more important to you than bass, I go with the Etymotic MC2s. They include a mic and volume controls. I owned the Klipsch Image S4, and while they were good, they were a bit heavy on the bass. Etymotics are cleaner with less bass distortion.
My vote for the best over the ear headphones goes to V-Moda Crossfade. Nearly half the price of Beats and the sound is amazing. Plus they come in a variety of colors to satisfy whatever vibe your going for.

Well i appreciate everybody's input. Those all seem like good pics but i ended up going with the bose mie2 and etymotic research hf5. Im going to do an extensive test on both and return the one that i dont want. Im leaning more towards the etymotics though due to its earbud inserts.

Well, I guess this is a very ymmv thing. Based on your recommendation, and the excellent reviews the Triplefis get, I ordered a pair and lived them a week. I don't care for them, thought the bass was boomy and the imaging not as good as the 530s, so I returned them. I know all about requiring a good seal with earbuds, so that wasn't my issue.
But I'm always searching for a less expensive alternative to the Shures (I know the cable's going to tear off one of these days).
I highly recommend Etymotic headphones. I have the mc5's. They have great bass without muffling mids like beats and excellent sound isolation. Etymotic.com also check out head-fi.org for rank and reviews

I too have the Klipsch S4i. There are better sounding earbuds, but not for less than twice the price. These are about the best sound and comfort per dollar. IMHO
whats do yall think. i use the i beats and want to buy the solo. but i heard that the hesh is better

Beats are known for not having the best sound quality. They're more for the brand and look than the best audio.

Check out V-Moda Crossfade LP headphones. They can be had for about $100 on ebay and sound incredible with the Rezound. Don't get Skullcandy over ear headphones because they pretty much suck when it comes to build quality. The Crossfade's are built like a tank and are crazy comfortable.
Like others have said, I wouldn't buy the skullcandys. My only experience, albeit limited, is through listening to a friend's set when he wanted me to hear some tracks. Personally, I thought the build quality and sound quality were both garbage. The Beats are acceptable if you just want some noise to get through a work day. If you are trying to get a good set of cans, I would look to the more 'professional' brands. I love my Sennheiser HD650s and also have a pair of Grado SR80's that I keep in my bag and you can find them cheap (<$100). Just my two cents, though.
yh i think the beats are better . i also heard the beats solo have too much bass and is not balanced. i see many djs using the hesh . they told me that they are cheaper and could go to higher volumes. do u think the rezounds beats software would sound good with skull candy too
Both beats and skullcandy suck. Get some real headphones.

Klipsch, Etymotics, Shure. Those are just a few of the easily available, reasonably priced, substantially better options than Bose, Skullcandy or Beats. Bose sounds like brittle poop.
I love my Etymotics ER-4's. Little pricey compared to the other ones here, they have lower prices in ears though.
i hope yall know what good headphone sound like

Bose is all name. The Bose sound sucks. Plenty of better headphones for less or same price can be had.
Etymonics are amazing. I actually like the klipsche a lot. B&W are amazing when priced against monster. 299.99 P5's demolish anything in that price range.

I wouldn't say Bose headphones or speakers suck, per se. The majority of them produce very respectable sound. You can just get higher quality headphones for less than a Bose costs. Everything's relative.
The best headphones I've ever bought were a $80 pair of RadioShack store-brand over-ear "Titaniums" that aren't sold anymore. Things produced the sweetest highs, clearest mids, and thumpiest lows I ever asked for. Lasted nearly four years (with much of the padding damaged/replaced by tape and packing foam, heh) through three moves, endless pet chewing, and admittedly excessive volume without a hint of the thin cable breaking or the diaphragms distorting. Far as I know, they still work--they were so great, I lost them in the divorce in exchange for $200 of auto body work. Been looking for a solid replacement pair ever since. Nothing with the Beats brand comes even close--brand name garbage that adds heavy weights to $5 headphones and pretends heft=quality.
I wouldnt touch skullcandy earphones/headphones unless money was really tight..
Bose arent bad at all. I actually have both the bose mie2's and the etymotics hf5's and i DO use my hf5s alot more than my bose. The only huge issue with the mie2's are the fact that i cant get a complete ear canal seal with the stock inserts. They are in my opinion a bit overpriced. If they can be had for 70 id say go for them. I bought my hf5's for about 80 and i have to say that they are the best money can buy (in that price range). another good set of earbuds are the audeos phonaks. I keep hearing about how well balanced they are. They are supposed to have better base than the hf5's but weaker mids and highs. Hope this helps!

I have klipsch image One s4i's. They sound so good. Amazing highs and mids and tight bass. But for hip hop, the i beats are great. My $0.02

Is there any way to get beats audio to work on our phones.

No, next time search

No, and there's no point to beatsoff audio. It's nothing but marketing hype with no real actual technical benefits. It's nothing but a stupid equalizer preset.
I now regard Beats as being even worse than Monster in terms of overhyping ripoff artists. Even Bose at least has SOME technical merit even though nearly all of their products are significantly overhyped and overpriced.
LOL this question always getting asked. I still love how just cause they got a artist to say that the headphones were good they are regarded for good sounding headphones. Beats headphones are poor quality overpriced headphones.
- From an owner of real headphones.
Lol.. they are def overpriced but do they sound like crap- no. Not at all. I haven't had a TON of headphones before but I've use Bose and skull candy and many cheap headphones, the Beats sound better than all of them. Of coarse that's my personal opinion.. but I consider myself someone that is a bit picky.. but non the less they sound good regardless of the what else is out there or the over marked price tag. And I thought monster cable was a quality stereo cable.. not cheap crap?!
Before everyone starts hating on my post I'm just making a point that the headphones are decent and they DO sound good- despite what all the haters say. After all, haters gonna hate that's the point

That's because those aren't good headphones (Bose...). Get a $40 pair of Sennheisers, problem solved.
Beats is just oversaturated bass. Headphones selling for $300 when it should be at most half of that.
Same as Monster. It's a marketing ploy.
Yup... Senns, Shures - go with a proper regarded brand, you'll get FAR more for your money.
Beats may sound better than the cheaper Skullcandies - but NOT enough to justify the delta in price.
My personal opinions:
Budget with good "bang for your buck" - Skullcandy Titans (or others with 11mm drivers) combined with Comply foam eartips
Beyond that, I'd say: Sennheiser, Shure, or for those with money to blow, Etymotics. Audio-Technica has a few decent items, I've been tempted by their active noise cancelling circumaurals for a while. Their microphones are the best budget ones I've used. (They're probably not the best out there - but the best in the sub-$100 camcorder stereo mic range until you go into standalone units like the Zoom H1/H2/H4n)
However, under no circumstances are Beats worth the exorbitant price.
Totally agree with that. They are way over priced.. but they do sound better than some other ear buds I've bought and paid $40/$50 for..

Senns seem the best for me but pricewise since I lose headphones ask the time skull candy are rather good for their price.

Well, Bose is overpriced, but in terms of noise-cancellation, or at least as far as I've researched, they are on the most effective out there so they can price however they want. But yeah, Sennheiser and ATH dominates in terms of overall audio quality, build, comfort, etc. I guess excessive flight travellers might go with the Bose while others go with Sennheiser/ATH, and as for the Beats, you got to agree, some of them look really nice, so that can go to the richish flashy people, not necessarily looking to wear the ones with the best audio quality, but good nonetheless.
Me not wearing any underwear has better sound quality than BeatsAudio. Use voodoo plus.

I might be getting the htc one x, and if I do, I will try to find some way to turn it off. all I need are lossless audio files and my sennheiser ie8. dr dre can't improve that.
I use the skullcandy skull crushers and they have mini subs in them lol. I wouldn't wanna spend 300 bucks for worse bass.
I dont know what you guys are talking about....Beats audio headphones are great (way over priced) but great, i've produced music for over 6 years now so i can speak from experience.....as far as for the phone i wouldn't know, i'm sure it doesn't do **** to make the phone sound any better.

The point is that they are overpriced and there are options which are FAR cheaper and match or exceed them in performance, such as units from Sennheiser or Shure.

Very true....
Brother had 2 different pairs, the solo and solo hd. Both sounded decent, but for what they cost they should sound a lot better than "decent". They mostly increased the low end of the spectrum muddling out any treble.
My skullcandy skullcrushers are pretty nice...
Every single pair of beats headphones I've ever seen on display have been broken. They feel like they're made of terrible plastic, and they don't sound nearly as good as other cans in their price range. I'll also take IEMs over cans any day, but that's just me. Etymotics ftw
