I really love TouchwizUX, but the thing I hate is FOLDERS. I have a lot of widgets and folders on my homescreen, but is there any way to create Trebuchet-like folders (icons one behind the other in a circuit) instead of TouchWizUX's (PC-like map icon and small icons inside)?
[Q2] When I reach the end of my homescreens (7) and slide to the first one, the wallpaper slides immediately, how to fix that sliding wallpaper takes like half, 0.75sec. I hope you understand. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZT7h0OmcTpE watch this, and you will understand)
Any theme, or modification?

So I made some icons for a theme I am trying to put together with ADW Launcher EX. The icon is for the "Launcher Actions" icons to move from one screen to another. I noticed though when I apply the icon I made it seems to be a lot smaller than the icon space provided, no matter how big I end up making the icon.
Anybody have any ideas on how I could make it bigger or have a different method of moving from one screen to another with the ADW action thats there?
is there any white space/empty space around the icons you can crop away?
No there isnt. I am saving them as pngs and are as close to the image border as I can make them to be.
Ok I am running Miui with adw launcher ex and I am trying to make a clean theme with minimalistic text. I cannot seem to get the minimalistic text widget to lay flush with the screen however. (see below pic) The right side and the bottom will not lay flush with the screen. I have seen plenty of screens look sooo clean using miui and minimalistic text and adw launcher but I cant for the life of me figure out how to get this set up going. Also it seems that when people make this clean themes that their icons are spaced closer together and I would like to know how to do that to if anyone who customizes their phone in this manner knows how. I would really appreciate and answer at the very least on how to make the widget lay flush with the screen. Any help on these kinds of customizations though are welcome!
Good Luck!
Although I can't help you with the widget touching all sides (I've had that problem, it sucks) I can help you with getting your icons closer together. Some where in the settings of ADW Launcher (Maybe like Homescreen or Icons) In there look for something that says, "Rows and Colums" and adjust them to your liking. On default, most android phones are set up at 4x4.
It's because you are hiding the dock. For whatever reason the alignment is off when the dock is hidden. I've emailed them about it but no reply..

So I'm redoing my home screen, and I want to have a few text icons that take me directly to specific home screens. Apex launcher has action shortcuts for this, but they are only 1x1. I cannot use widgets to get these actions... I have to use shortcuts. I have done what I want with 1x1 shortcuts, but they are just too small for my taste. I really want 2x1 shortcuts. I have not been able to figure out how to make them with either Simple Text or Desktop Visualizer.
Any suggestions?
I have exactly the same question. Did you ever find a solution?
edit: I found a clunky work-around by taking advantage of the fact that Apex lets you overlap widgets. I made a totally hidden apex action shortcut by removing the shortcut text and using a transparent icon that I made with Simple Text (careful with these, because if you forget where they are on your homescreen they're hard to find!). Then I put a 2x1 Simple Text widget (that does nothing) over the top. The problem of course is that the shortcut only works if you press the 1x1 area where the apex action shortcut is!
hey there..
is there any possibility to lock certain widgets, so that they don´t move if the screen is changed? (...like the static google bar which was introduced with ICS)
..and no i don´t want to put the same widget on the same place at any screen because of the scroll effects. looks ugly
thank u
I get that the developers/designers are only doing themes for specific screen resolutions right now, but why is the core tools for creating custom Themer widgets restricted by large grid settings?
Confused as to what I mean? Please let me explain.
I can create a custom widget, which starts with the background box. But, in order to line the background box up with my home page background, I have to set the color of the background widget to a solid color and then resize it since it doesn't visualize the snap-to grid element (which it does).
So, as I said above, why is this limitation there in the first place? On my Note 2 I can't create a widget that goes to the top of my screen because it is out of bounds of my screen and when I go to add elements to the widget, they don't line up correctly unless I resize the widget background box to snap to below the top of my screen (by a good amount).
So, is it at least possible to have the default grid snap distance greatly reduced or give us an option to set it ourselves in regards to setting the widget itself?
I've encountered zero issue with moving elements within a widget box other than the inability to lock items individually once placed (that would truly help in them designing).
Sorry for any confusion, I'm not aware of the standard labels for the various design elements of a widget or the like.

Hows it going? Im Bill from MCS.
Im a still a bit confused as to what you are asking and what tools it is that you are using in Themer that are giving you the issue.
Im sure you have already made sure that padding is turned OFF in the settings, but I have to say just to be safe.
IF you are getting spaced on the sides or top or your widget, you might want to check to see if you are using odd numbers for the Grid (rows and columns). Because of the way custom build widgets from WYSIWYG editors like Zooper and Everything widget render on the screen you might be a 1px gap if you are using odd numbered Rows or Columns in your grid.
This is the first thing I would check. I have seen an issue where for some reason I get a 2 or 4px padding on the top and bottom of the widgets. It only happens to me now and again. I can usually delete the widget and re-add it to get rid of the issue.
