No the existing methods require the phone to be off, once the kernel is booted /boot can no longer be accessed........
So unless your Sony and can tell us how to remove this restriction....
Nothing to do with busy or not and remember before being flippant, the majority of devs here are doing it for nothing in their own time, so man up stop whining and learn, maybe you could work on it if it is such an issue for you.

How is this relevant, many phones can do it, but not xperia, as I stated above, its not the tools to do it, it's how Sony configured the device.

also flashtool comes with a lot of utilities and built-in java runtime that's why it's big
size of pure flashtool is only 4-6 mb

is there any official 2.3.3 roms for Neo V ? I thought Neo V was the first SE phone that came out with stock 2.3.4.If you are talking about Neo beware before downgrading cos downgrading to 2.3.3 can mess up your fuel gauge chip and battery info get messed up
If you are talking about downgrading to 0.42 fw in 2.3.4 then read this Flashtool guide and use 0.42 ftf,you can find ftf file in Neo V dev section stickied threads
Exactly ! There are no 3.3.3 stock neo ROMS
Flash .42 from Wotan and you are good to go

Hi again,
if you don´t already got ADB Drivers, get this:
wotanserver.com/downloads/USBFlashDriver.exe
And here´s the download link for the Wotan Client :
wotanserver.com/downloads/WotanClient.exe
Sorry for plain Text links,
atm i´m not allowed to post outside XDA Links =(
Just run it, connect your phone as shown and select the Firmware you want
Btw, i had strange problems flashing my phone with flashtool using my Desktop PC,
Flashtool did it´s work only on my Laptop (no idea why).
But Wotanclient worked on my PC too.
Hope this helps

Hello guys,,
I'm not very noob, but i never faced this problem before!
My SE Xperia NEO V runs on GB 2.3..
And started to make probs suddenly, such as "Google play stopped unexpectedly" and "Google account stopped"
besides almost all services made the same error and became almost unusable.
I flashed it by flashtool latest version to GB .62 and then to .42
it worked well for 1 day then made the same errors!
I flashed JB with flashtool as well but also works for one day then everything collapse!
All that ended by that my neo v kept restarting and stucks every time on sony xperia screen the restart again.
I tried to flash again GB or JB but this time makes an error on 99% and dont continue and shows a yellow alarm triangle screen on the fone!!
that happen everytime i flash and nothing works.
I tried:
- flashtool
- sony PC companion
- SEUS
- emma "from sony"
NONE of them helped
My NEO V is unrooted & the bootloader is locked.
Please help me

You don't need the phone on. Just remove the battery and the IMEI is the 15 digit number next to the S/N code. This number comes with dash, you have to take them out.
