Is there a port of Samsung's S Voice app from the Galaxy S3 to Galaxy Tab 10.1? Or is there alternatives that are similar?
There seem to be some ports for devices that meet specific criteria. I'm not a big fan of voice control apps so I personally haven't tried them. Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1670306 and here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1693103 look like they might work on our device, but like I said, I've never tried them.
Has anyone got this to work on the gtab?
yes , I tried it workable very good .

Is there an app which let's you control your tab via an android phone I.e. galaxy nexus or s2, like a Bluetooth mouse?
Thanks.

Pershoot's kernel allows that.
Thanks.
Would I need to install Pershoots kernel on both devices though.
I want to be able to use my galaxy nexus as a mouse/track pad on my 10.1.

This one has worked for me:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...Nlcmtlci5hbmRyb2lkLmFwcHMuYmx1ZXB1dGRyb2lkIl0.
I believe there are others but they require installing software on both tablet and phone. This is the only one I found that makes the phone behave as if it were a true bluetooth mouse.
Frankly, I've not found a good use for a bluetooth mouse (even a real one) since it doesn't look like the OS and/or the browsers support desktop browser features like hover over, which would be useful, or desktop style text selection. It pretty much behaves just like a surrogate for your finger. In that respect, a stylus is more useful if you just want to avoid finger grease on your screen or get a little extra precision.
Do you know which ROM you used? It's telling me my Bluetooth stack is unsupported?
Swyped from my finger, to your face on my Samsung Galaxy Note, using Tapatalk!
Well, it runs on my phone, which is an HTC Glacier running CM7. I'm running Task 14 on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wifi.
Hi!
Does anyone have the samsung television remote tablet app?
My Tab won't see it now that I am running CM9 on it...
Its this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwyLDEsImNvbS5zYW1zdW5nLnJlbW90ZVRWX1RBQiJd
That's pretty cool! Too bad I don't have a Sammy TV or player
My tab won't either. I just knew that such app exists from your post! But I guess the reason I can't install it is that my country is not supported yet.
Seems to be a great app though
I had to go back to HC (after so many time in ICS, HC is just ugly, IMO) to get this app, well, is the Samsung Smart View-Tab, but it works just like the remote only app plus DualView if your TV supports it. The remote only is supposed to be for the original GalaxyTab 7" or devices with a resolution of 1024x600.
Samsung.Smartview-Tab2.0.3
For the app to work in ICS (and maybe other non samsung tablets), first flash this in CWM (adds some samsung files): PatchSamsungView.zip, then install the app.
Do you have actual version 2.2?
I need a tablet that will allow me to connect a BT keyboard for office applications and a cam/mic for video chats over skype.
Searching the forums has yielded contradictory answers. Can a CM10 rom, for example, perform the functions mentioned above?
Mic works on CM10, NT does not have BT nor camera.

My brother has the Nexus 7 tablet and it works like a charm. Same version of Android as CM10.1 (which is Jelly Bean) and includes the camera and bluetooth. One of the faster tablets available also. Highly recommended.
So I have a AT&T Galaxy S4 running Google edition 4.3 ROM. I also have a galaxy s3 and Nexus 7 both running AOKP. On my galaxy s4 Google now doesn't show my TV card. My two other devices do show it so I know my TV is supported. I checked my build prop and the region is correct US. Anyone have any idea what's causing this? It's rather annoying as I use the feature.

Hello,
I'm posting here because I'm not making progress with Samsung support.
I'm no expert so please be patient with me.
I own a NAS drive with Twonky 6 media sharing. I can access the media shares
through Samsung Link on my new SmartTV (UN32EH5300) successfully. But I want more.
I'd like to access the shares and send them to the SmartTV from my Galaxy Player 5.
My first effort to do this involved the predecessor to Samsung Link - Samsung AllShare
This app comes with the factory firmware (Gingerbread 2.3.5) for the Galaxy Player.
AllShare cannot detect the SmartTV. Thinking it might be a router problem, I opened the UDP 1900
and TCP 2869 UPnP ports for the TV. No help. Samsung support told me it might be a firmware
problem on the Galaxy Player. As there is no Samsung firmware update available, I began
acquainting myself with the subject of custom ROMs. However, I've read that most
custom ROM's do not support AllShare. Alternatively, I cannot install Samsung Link on the
Galaxy Player; I receive a message that it is not supported for this version of the Galaxy
Player. Does anyone have an idea to get the Galaxy Player to recognize the SmartTV through
Samsung AllShare/Samsung Link or something else?
Next, I started downloading UPnP apps from Google. I tried BubbleUPnP, Twonky Beam,
ZappoTV, etc. None of these Android apps would recognize the SmartTV. I even installed
a couple of UPnP "detectors" - apps that should list available UPnP devices. These also
failed to detect the SmartTV. There are quite a few apps for UPnP. Might one that I have not
tried work? Does anyone have a recommendation for one that might work?
If this can be accomplished with a custom ROM, I might try it. I just wonder how many
stock apps I might lose on the upgraded Galaxy Player. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,
Bob
