you need to find out if your country's uses the same frequency as the Korean model. I know its 2100 for S Korea but there could be more. The reason why Korean is cheaper could be that only S Korea or a few country's is compatible with Korean models.
I'm using SHV-E210S for a week now, so far it works in China, HK, S'pore and Indonesia. So I guess should be not much different from the international version. There are a few issues I discovered with this model.
1. Battery size is smaller than the international version so you may need to buy backup battery from Korea.
2. Unable to upgrade software/firmware unless you use SK Telecom's USIM.
The advantage I found:
1. This Korean model sports 2GB RAM whereas the international model only has 1GB RAM
Anyone knows more? Pls share!

This phone is sold for 400 is it worth buying guys? Can I use it with AT&T in English language...Anything I should worry about? I need as many responses as I can get before I head out to get it!
Just got the Spain version from the eBay Daily Deal/Buy.com seller yesterday.
For $400 I guess it's a good deal used.
how do i know if it's GT i9100 or 9100T, the international version vs the US version?
Ask to the seller. You can find model behind the battery.
Regards.
Due to a bad experience with a Amazon Seller, Who sold me a UK carrier (Deutche Telekom) Phone as a brand new Factory unlocked international verison, I wanted to verify if there is any way to see, if phone is indeed Quad Core as mentioned...
1) All Specification, such as RAM... etc.. What is the country of origion and if it is indeed factory unlocked or not...
Is there any way to verify all this?
2) Do you have any suggestion of a reputed seller in US, who can provide a factory unlocked phone?
hey man. If its the int. version, it has to have the quad-core, cause only asian and american version of galaxy s3 has a dual-core crait with 2gb ram.
Only in south korea there is a quad-core 2gb edition of the galaxy s3, with LTE.
and deutsche telekom is for sure not a UK branded phone.
This has to be a german branding, cause only in germany its called deutsche telecom, deutsch=german
I hope I could help ya
Otherwise, look trough code entry: *#1234# or something like that That gives you out your version.
But I'M 100% sure that you have the int. version with quad-core and 1gb ram.
Install system tuner pro. See how many core u have in spu setting.

Either you've omitted something or that sounds right.
UK got the international i9300, so that is right
Brand new... well nothing contradicts that in your statement
Carrier-Version... nothing to do with network locking unless it actually was carrier-locked which you didn't say. Carrier-branded (carrier-related stuff installed) does not equal carrier-locked.
What is the country of origion

Even if it's destined for China, Autralia,... as long as the model number reads i9300 it's the same phone.
If you've got a version for China you might wanna flash the European firmware (fully compatible) though, unless you actually want chinese stuff

just download an app called CPU-Z on the playstore and you'll see everything there is to know about the CPU of the S3.
Hi folks,
i am based in Beijing China and a grey market Korean S3 E210 is actually cheaper then a CHina version (and the mighty Partys love for Google/Play) S3.
But.... which S3? the Korean comes in 3 flavours e210 with S L or K and i really need to be able to use the phone in English (not necessarily the Queens, i m ok with simplified US English too ) and i heard the SLK versions differ in that stuff.
Also, i am at this stage not using 4G LTE as i am waiting for which Band they ll decide in China. so i would for now, run it in 3G mode.
Any idea which one is better suited? If i wanna run JB on it asap since its soo more fluid?
Heard the EU gets their own LTE version with Quad and 2GB hence, o9305 in my line. But that will be around 4600RMB so more then 1200RMB above the Korean version.
Please suggestions... im getting a xiaomi mi2 too end of october but i like the sammis big screen and that somehow the e210 seems to be useble even with MIUI and so on.
I don't know which one, but buy the one without Exynos.

I would imagine that the dev support will be much greater for the i9305, if you care about running custom. But if you don't care about that so much make sure you look at the freq the e210 models use. Each one is different! I made a thread about it because so many people kept asking. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31941726
Well if you want it Abit thicker get the Korean iit also has a dmb which slides out and looks ugly . But if you want exact same look as international then get the i9305

well i9305 is much more expensive in china then the e210. is it really a different form factor? i know the e210 is thicker and rounder cause of the additional LTE chip, is the i9305 same ff as the i9300?
and... i ll be using it with China Unicom in 3G for now and they run a GSM network unlike China Telecom/Mobile so all 3 versions shall work.
how s the english UI in the korean version? dialer and so on?
heard of some issues with sms

the reason its thivker is because of the DMB antenna like i said not the LTE chip, Theres an antenna that slides out of the top of the phone and doesnt look good when its out.
the I9305 is exaclty the same size and look as the I9300 which is why even if its more expensive i will buy this one,
Hi, I'm also in the market for the s3 and just found the korean version online and must cheaper (with the 2gb of RAM - I hate that the Chinese versions are all 1gb).
Did you find out the differences in slk versions.
I guess that you can just install the standard samsung rom to get an english version if necessary no?
You can change language to English. You can't install custom roms/kernels for I9300 on them. Though some devs seem to be working on it.

ok then i wait till i9305 is available in HongKong and the price settles a bit under 4600RMB
otherwise i ll opt for the xiaomi mi2
somehow feel an S3 with 1GB is not up do date in terms of expandibility. Wonder when news on the new Google phone surface and the new HTC X5
My country start to sell Galaxy S3 Korean version. Besides higher hardware spec (i.e. 2GB RAM), what are the differences? WhT will I lose from the International version?
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I was wondering if there are different versions of S3's like for S2's (ie, Singapore differ from US etc), because i want to buy an S3 online from a reseller in which the title goes by Samsung Galaxy S3 Unlocked WHITE/BLUE. Is there anyway to tell or how to check which version the seller is selling?
Thanks!
Was there a model model number?
I typed this by hand.

If its being sold online it is most likely to be the GT-I9300 international version. However be sure of the credibility of the online re seller. There have been cases where people reported to have received fake S3's..
Yes, there is:
this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alxdroiddev.gs3identity
it will not only tell if it is a genuine S III, but it will also tell what specific model it is.
