Hello! I have SE MW600 Headset and on stock ROM I can't see titles on It and I know that AVRCP ver. 1.0 is the problem....and need AVRCP 1.3 to see titles but I dont know which ROM has this protocol ?? Is there option to install it ??
CyanogenMod 7 and 9.
Both have it, I found that just the Bluetooth modules won't work. I have MW600 aswell, edited the bluetooth modules and my MW600 started showing Unknown when music was playing. Couldn't get any further, as I didn't find correct files.
A little weird looking at it as soon android goes on, that does not support this protocol :/ I heard something like that rom AOKP also shows the titles ... but how did the people of the galaxy S shows I do not know ... could it be that Samsung has implemented ?

Hi,
I own a Sony MW600 that I used to connect to a SonyEricsson Android 1.6. recently I upgraded to the HTC Desire Z (A2.2) and what a surprise to realize that even if some information are sent the name of the caller or the title of the song played are not sent to the receiver.
It seems this problem is due to the fact that Google downgraded the version of the AVRCP in 2.X to 1.0 while it was 1.3 in A1.6
Is there a way to create a custom ROM or include in the CM Roms the latest version of the AVRCP libraries to allow full data exchange between bluetooth devices (like a remote, a watch, a car stereo...)
Thanks!
C.
+1 for this thread
Threadstarter,
The issue was that android didn't support avrcp 1.x
The question I have is does ICS support AVRCP 1.4
Hello @ all
I have the same Headset for my rooted LG O3D (off 2.3.5/EU).
Does anyone has an idea how to install the newer AVRCP version?
Or is there any possibility to export it from CM7?
Greetings
Hi All,
I am purchasing a Lexus IS250 shortly and I have been using a demonstrator version. I have a Galaxy S2 and can link the bluetooth ok for voice calls, etc. However I cant seem to link it for bluetooth music streaming. Does the S2 not have this capability?
I have tried using Checkrom (GB), Cyanogenmod (ICS) and MIUI V4 (ICS) and none seem to have that ability.
Thanks guys for any help!
Well, I am in India and the bluetooth streaming works great in my car.
After I connect my phone to the car, I get an option of "Streaming" in the various sources that I can select from viz., CD, Aux, Tuner, etc..
So, the answer to the question is, it does support streaming. You may want to fiddle a bit with the system on your car to see which option actually detects music streaming.
Check the bluetooth pairing in the phone settings. If you go advanced options (or whatever the menu is) you should see an option for connect to phone and connect to media. My guess is media is unticked.
I've been using ICS MIUI roms .. (used a few now)
Bluetooth works fine with them.
Even check ROM works.
What does'nt work and works only with MIUI roms is AVRCP !!!
First, you probably want to know, what is AVRCP.
AVRCP stands for Audio-Video Remote Control Profile. It transfer data over Bluetooth to the paired device.
Via that profile, for example, music metadata(title, artist) is sent to the Bluetooth device.
On CyanogenMod 7.2 ROM, on my LWW, I was able to see the music title on my Bluetooth headset(SE MW600). However, stock ROM has no support for it.
Is anyone familiar with these profiles and how can these be implemented to stock GB 2.3.4 ROM?

Hi all
I'm looking at getting an Android 4.0 device - not a phone as it happens - but I'm going to want to have all audio sent over Wi-Fi in order to work with something like this: http://www.lindy.co.uk/usb-portable-wireless-audio-system/20404.html
Now if I was running Lindy I'd be sure to release an app for that, but I've not seen mention of one. I don't know Android well either.
Can anyone help? I was considering Bluetooth but it turns out that lossless Bluetooth audio receivers are scarce.
Thanks
Hi everybody,
I have been trying to find a 4.2.2 rom without samsung's bluetooth stack. But it seems none of the rom developers mention anything about bluetooth stack they use.
Why do i need such a rom?
Because I use bluetooth devices like wiimote and smartwatch.
Samsung bluetooth stack doesnt connect to wiimote.
It does connect to liveview smartwatch but customnotifier plugin doesnt work -which is a accesibility plugin forwards all alerts to watch-
And also when i enable that plugin talkback starts pronouncing every move i make... menu 1 page 2 etc...
So far, I found out that AOSP based roms like CM7 and MIUI was working fine with bluetooth devices. But that is really old information. Because it looks like nowadays all roms became a mixture of many source bases.
For example ASNET MIUI v5 is a combination of samsung and aosp sources...
Please help
