Hello,
Im fairly new to all this, i used to have a G1 that supported proxy settings for the WIFI via a custom rom. However my x10 mini pro doesn't seem to have this, is there anyway i can get this extra settings?
Thanks,
Ant..
ok - so now that custom roms can be installed on this phone, does anyone know how the proxy settings are added to other custom rom phones? I have done some searching but it has taken me back here!!!
What do you want the setting for?
If you want to open the blocked sites then there is apps to do that.
i have the same problem- to conect ot my school network you need to be able to edit proxy settings!
Hi there
you can try this app:
WiFiACE (for WiFi Advanced Config Editor). You can find it in the market or via the appbrain app.
I use it to connect to my Uni network.
Cheers
Hi all!
I have got a INQ Cloud Touch mobile with android 2.2.2 froyo installed on it by default.
The problem is that i can't get root permissions.. I tried almost everything i found looking on the web but nothing seems to work. Android apps like 'z4root', 'androot' or 'gingerbreak' crash or get stuck, and pc programs get stuck on 'waiting for device' even if the mobile is connected and debug mode is enabled.
I really need root permissions because this mobile has plenty of useless apps that i can't remove without.
INQ website provides only an update program that doesn't update android at all..
I think my problem has 2 solutions:
1) get root permissions
2) update android (2.3 is perfect too)
Have you got any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Hello guys,
I've problem with locating my s3 (after rooting) that android device manager can't locate it & give me "location unavailable" error.
also Cerberus & find my droid can't locate the phone.
i tried to clear data for play store & play service & even uninstall updates for them.
also i deleted my Google account & re-entered it.
what drive me crazy that the service used to work fine before rooting the phone.
any suggestions.
Same here
I am having same issue on 2 different android devices (samsung sgh-t599 and nextbook 8) both rooted both same issue. I tried the same approaches but still get location unavailable. What is interesting is that the lock and ring features DO work. I haven't tried erase (for obvious reasons Btw I am new to forum so please send me message if I should post this somewhere else. Thank you.
Hi could anyone help me I have an Mediatek Iphone 6+ Clone which is actually Android. although thats a problem in of itself. The problem I'm having is that I am unable to enter the APN settings, I am able to navigate to the APN page but there is no option to add APN (I'm guessing where Android has a "Menu" button to bring up Add APN, the IPhake doesn't). I've tried various method such as APN apps, Floating menu button apps and now i'm trying by ADB.
First off I have rooted the phone.
the APN settings I need are
APN Carrier: Lebara UK
I have tried the following a few guides which i found via googling but I cant seem to get them to work
I would post what I tried however I am unable to post URL's
You won't find much help here. We don't deal with knock off devices.
