i'm struggling to add an application to the dock / launcher at the bottom of the screen for some reason.
i managed to remove an app from there easy enough but can't for the life of me find how i can fill the blank space that i now have.
can someone point me in the right direction ?
thanks in advance
Once you have an empty space you just drag an icon onto it.
Works on mine anyway.

You cannot directly drag it from the application drawer. Drag it onto a empty space on the main home screen then drag it from there to the dock.
Cheers

Could someone please download the app from the market, setup and let me know if you any text freezing while typing, scrolling issues while on the Internet or XDA App? It was messing with my phone but would like to know if others have issues too. (BTW... I really like the App)
Thanks

Wave Launcher is fully customizable. You can change the size, location and even thickness of the gesture-area. To change it, look for "Gesture-area presets" in the Settings screen.
The setting the works for most people and is my personal favorite is "Bottom Left - 20%". It will never interfere with the keyboard or scrolling this way.
Note that you can also have Wave Launcher automatically disable in Landscape mode which is often used for typing, games, etc.
The app is very powerful and highly customizable, please go through all the settings to make sure you make the most out of it.
Any reports guy's?

Used it and it interefered with a lot of things going on on the bottom of the phone such as opening the app drawer and typing. Just my experience others may vary.

As Mike said above.
I also tried it for a bit, and even changed the popup swipe location but it is just OK. I think bottom corner 20% was the one that worked best for me, but even then I would accidentally press the Home button. Sides are for screen sliding already, and top is for notifications, so there is not much free room to swipe around. Its a fine launcher, but I did not find it useful enough to keep.
I thought it would let me make a gesture to swipe it onto the screen, not follow my finger around everywhere, to where I cant even get rid of it without the awkward swipe back into the same corner of the screen.
What it should have is a setting on how far to follow you across the screen, so if I swipe up from bottom corner, it appears, then it follows me around but only until I get to say 50% of the screen height, then it goes away.
That way, if it appears accidentally, I dont have to swipe is back down, but simply continue the swipe up motion until it dissapears.
I tried it but didn't care for it. Holding the Home screen button essentially does the same thing. Aloso, If you're running stock then you've got your most recent apps in the notification drop down. Unless you are constantly switching between apps, it's pretty pointless.
I use mine for a quickdial and store a few contacts there. so far it hasn't interfered too much
Thanks for your feedback guys!

I am running adw ex and I love having the option of using the large hidden dock bar as my main dock but this only seems to work randomly and I don't know how to get it to reappear again. Does anyone else have this problem or know a solution? Thank you

i don't seem to have this problem. I just touch and drag-up on the launcher icon and its there. it does pop up when coming back to the homescreen once in a while, but thats not really an issue.
Problem i did notice tho, is that the icons on my homescreen can't be place at the left or right edge, its just a blank column that i can't put apps in, really minimizes the space i have and doesn't look as nice with everything closer to the middle. I only have this issue with EX, not the free version.
Any help there?
Are you talking about the regular "phone" dock bar (right side of screen in landscape) or the hidden dock bar (bottom of screen in landscape)? Because the regular one can be removed in the ui settings to give more screen real estate. Then there is another option to make the hidden one your main dock.

Nevermind I just assumed the main dock bar was on the side like launcher pro. But I figured out the hidden one can be set with a gesture so now mine can hide /unhide with a swipe down. The hidden one is way better anyway and can hold way more icons.

How to recover CM7 launcher buttons? I meant the three buttons (call, app, web) at the center bottom of the screen. they mysteriously disappeared today. Don't really know how to get them back. Help please. Thanks!

On the bottom of the screen swipe DOWN where the dock should be. (May be up, can't remember offhand) I had that happen with my Atrix. I am not running CM7 right now, but that should bring back the dock.
It's an adw launcher feature. If you swipe up from the bottom if the dock, the dock disappears. You can add other apps in this alternate dock type place. To get your actual dock back swype down from the top of the empty region below your app icons.

Hi,
I found "Appzorter" and used it for the SGII.
It does sort app icons, but it still leaves "icon gaps" at the bottom of each page! So for e.g. i have about 4 unused icon slots not used and now my application pages went from 4 to 6!
Is there a setting that just sorts them and gets rid of the gaps? or am i messing up the settings in Appzorter?
Thanks again.
Just found the solution. I needed to override the page size...i.e the number of apps on a page. Now it works!

HAve been UsiNg this app For a Long time works like a charm

IF I HELPED YOU PRESS THE THANKS BUTTON
First of all, I sincerely apologize if this is the wrong section for such a post.
Basically I trying to setup a homescreen in which part of it can scroll vertically, but another part doesn't move. I currently have Lightning Launcher, which is great by the way, but I can only set it up so that the entire screen scrolls. I was thinking it would be nice for have a spot on the left side of the screen for favorite apps and maybe some widgets (I guess you could call it a "dock"), and on the right side of the screen have a scrolling list of the rest of my applications. Probably with 1/3 of the screen being the left portion and 2/3 being the right portion. Can this be done with Lightning Launcher? or any other launcher? and how?
Anyone?

It can be done with Lightning Launcher.
I am a fan, actually.
First, select the apps you want in the dock.
Then, line them up on one side of the screen.
For each, long press in the new version and select pin.
In the old one, you go to common itms setting or something.
After you pin, you can add a dock by giving the apps backgrounds.
