I9100 black screen - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. Yesterday i picked up my i9100 from my pocket and i pushed the home button and the screen didn't wake up. I pushed the power button and same, i hold the power button and nothing. I removed the battery and put back, hold the power button and the phone booted up. Do you think there is a firmware problem (stock ota firmware lp7) or the phone is broken?

Do you use a custom rom?
Atleast with my aokp rom this happens sometimes, but a reboot fixes it.
Most likely nothing to worry about

Have you tried charging it? And can you get to download mode?

Sleep of death SOD.
Use Odin to flash another firmware / kernel.

Never had a sod in lp7, but what you just experienced is sleep of death and common in stock xwlp9 only, custom roms aside.
Best bet full wipe, flash newer ics.

I want to know if it is a phone problem or a firmware problem which is stock xwlp7, nothing more, to see if i need to go to warranty with the phone.

i hate when people ask but dont comply....
you have been told multiple times to full wipe and flash a stock rom using odin.
before you do that ask 1000 times and you will get same answer.
do this and you will learn if its software or hardware

in legatura cu ecranul negru
nu stiu cum sa-ti trimit mesaj privat ....
am si eu problema cu ecranul negru la samsung s2. gasisem undeva pe un forum ca un tip l-a trimis in garantie si nu i-au facut nimic inafara de resetare la setarile din fabrica. in 2 ore a primit iarasi ecran negru, aceasi situatie ca noi. i-a usnt pe cei de la service samsung si i-au trimis un incarcator si acumulator. timp de o saptmana nu a mai primit ecran negru.
u ai rezolvat problema ? daca da, imi zici si mie cum ?

Could you atleast translate via Google and post it here,
1st you can send a pm by going to the persons profile
2nd black screen problem or sod can usually be corrected by flashing a different kernel like Siyah.

pSame here, this is my history:
- stock 4.0.3
- CM9 nightly
- CM9 nightly with Syiah kernel
With all of them I got black screen of death (SOD) almost once a day. I am starting to think that is an hardware problem.
Any suggestion?
