Hi all,
Just got my 2nd hand jetstream and am working through root etc. It is my understanding from lurking in the forums that S-OFF for the jetstream isn't yet available.
I have an evo3d and am aware of the HTC Unlock process and have done it on my jetstream and, just like the 3d, it shows UNLOCKED and S-ON.
While looking through the root thread I see this post with an image showing an S-OFF jetstream.
Am I missing something?
BIGMOH got an s-off jetstream accidently.

can anyone advise if there is anyone working on how to s-off EVO3d with Hboot 1.49.00011 and above ?
seems like no one is interested in the EVO 3d GSM, nothing much seems to be moving ?
really fed up and disappointed,
maybe should get rid of EVO 3D GSM and get samsung galaxy s2,
HTC sucks , big time,

Sorry that you are fed up and disappointed. Since you are fed up and disappointed, the devs here working on this getting root FOR FREE will work even harder because they feel your pain that you cannot root your phone and run custom roms that these devs create FOR FREE. You should be happy and praising the devs here for what they have done instead of coming on here and creating a post whinning that there is no root exploit for the new HBOOT.

If they suck so much why buy one of their phones?
Anyhow no there is no known exploit at the moment if you just can't wait use this...

And just so you know.. the EVO 3D GSM isn't even out in half the world yet so give it some time alright along with the HD2 these things take time for us to work out.

I can make Root appear . All I have to do is go to the HTCdev.com website and unlock my phone there . Then in a week time the internetz will be flooded with Hboot 1.50.000 being cracked and s-off LOL . Well thats how my luck works anyways ROFL *lays head down on desk*
I was browsing the web today and I found this link talking about s-off on the Amaze 4g and other HTC devices, but because I'm a new member I can't post it but it was on redmondpie.com and then type s-off amaze in the search bar.
I was just wondering if anyone else had seen this info and maybe tried it cuz I know everyone's trying to gain s-off so that more ROMs can start being developed for this phone,
There is no S-Off. RedmondPie talks about HTCDev's website and they talk about a program made by an XDA member. Amaze can't achieve S-Off right now.
Out of curiosity, what kinds of things leads to s-off? The release of certain files or stuff like finding a needle in a haystack like iphones jailbreaks

Hi, i am a new Android user (an Apple defector lol) and i have a couple of question about the rooting process if someone could be kind enough to advise me please. I have managed to get my Evo 3D to show me the HBoot, which is 1.49.0018 (a european Evo 3D i think), now does this mean my HBoot version is 1.4? or 1.49? Lastly, could someone advise the best method of rooting for my HBoot version please. I have read many posts in the HTC Evo 3D forums but there are many different ideas, and i cant figure out which will be the best method for my HBoot version..........Thank-you

try that oine.. it is set for the hboot 1.49 version...which you have...; not 1.4.... and im assuming youre a gsm and not a cdma phone

Hi bud, and thanks for replying. I took a look at the thread which you pointed out to me and i've got to admit it's all a little double-dutch to me lol. I would normally class myself a quite 'tech savy' and am used to jailbreaking all manner of Apple devices. I think i'm going to have to do quite a bit more research before i attempt anything. Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction though.....and i forgot to mention, yes the Evo 3D is GSM
Wanna change your hboot to say "unlocked by me" or "ha ha ha HTC" or what ever you want,

But it is compatible, I'm currently looking into making the plug in. I'm a little busy at the moment , so if someone beats me to it great, the rest of the work is easy after that
Regaw originally created this utility for the Evo 4G LTE because HTC puts all kinds of flags on that phone if it is unlocked including "tampered" in the bootloader and a bunch of red wording on the splash screen indicating the phone is for development only. People with that phone want to hide that stuff and they use this utility and other tricks to do that.
Luckily for us, even if you HTC unlock you can do the JuopunutBear wire trick and get rid of any trace that the phone was ever unlocked, except the fact that you got a token from HTC which you didn't necessarily use.
We've got a variety of bootloaders available for the Evo 3D CDMA model, but if you want something more customized this utility is certainly an alternative for that.

Hello, Some poor soul posted (BELOW) this YEARS ago, and never got any help (other than the single, typical, 'go search' 'reply', NOT MUCH HELP when you DON'T KNOW THE FILE-NAME)
I'll just repeat what he said, it's the same thing i'm looking for. I just want 1080p video record on the device, I don't have time to learn another new technical speciality... As far as updating to Android 4.3, there is a RUU available to do so. You can find it in the aforementioned Hboot guide, along with instructions on how to install it. The instructions can be found in the RUU section of my Hboot guide. The RUU is from HTC and does not require S-off or a rooted device.
