Well you could start by searching and then by reading. That's what the majority of us had to do. It's the only way you'll learn as opposed to someone holding your hand every step of the way which wouldn't be fair on everybody else now would it?

I'd check your model number printed on the label under your battery before doing anything suggested by people.
If it is NOT GT-i9100, then do NOT follow any instructions in this forum (for i9100, specifically) unless it is noted to work for your model.
read around
do some research on your phone model first.
after that it is fairly easier to do, if its just root you're after then it is simple, if you are after a custom rom then it could be potentially difficult.
however there are step by step guides everywhere so it should be simple enough to do for you.
and with regards to jailbreaking your iphone/ipod, rooting your phone is about the same difficulty maybe slightly harder but nothing you shouldn't be able to do.
Read the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1442549stickies here
Should explain everything that you require.

I still dn't understand... can someone tell me whats different between using them please
Too much to mention, use the search button and Google. Here is a video that maybe you should have taken note of when joining xda-d's. No offence but you are asking too much...
Refer to/read the specific threads in the development section of the forum relating to these individual roms for the features/advantages/disadvantages of each.
There is no central "list" or thread that contains every single SGS2 rom and any "differences" between same.

You want to know more then you read and learn or do you want somebody to look up all the details of each rom and make a spread chart for you .Thats what we all have to do expert or noob .
Really if you cannot carry out such a simple task stay with stock you are only going to f*** you phone up .
If you can read the details the major difference will be in the themes plus you may find that rom xxx has a customized init.d folder that gives larger dalvik with later cwm and extra rhubarb .

Actually, XDA is not a support forum. If someone offers to help, it's because they want to; not because they have to.

You don't have to delete your post. You can ask for help, but will have better results if you don't demand it. Just some friendly advice.
The other person wasn't being rude, he was just telling you the correct section to post your question.

I understand. If a search on XDA provides no results, use Google. XDA's search engine is good, if you know how to use it. I've been using google since 2000 and almost always found what I was looking for. The key to using a search engine, is in the way you ask your questions. When you perform a search, search engines look for results matching the words in your search term. The more information you provide in your question, the more accurate the results willl be. For example:
I noticed in your OP [original post), that the information you provided was too vague. "I have a Galaxy S II"...There are several variants of this phone, so be specific. Include as much detailed information as possible in your question or search query. For example; if you're searching for a froyo style lockscreen, try this:
"froyo style lockscreen app, mod, addon, apk for the Galaxy S II i777 (or which ever variant of the SGS II you have). Google will now search indexes with those specific words. This will greatly improve your chances of finding what you are looking for.
Although XDA is not a support forum, there are a lot of people willing to help you, IF...
1. You are polite.
2. If you've demonstrated that you have tried to help yourself BEFORE asking your question, by including what steps you took to find a resolution. People are more willing to help you, if they know you have first tried helping yourself.
3. You don't come across with an attitude of entitlement.
4. That your question is well thought out; including accurate detailed information.
5. Use the thanks button for those who have helped, even if their answer wasn't the one you were looking for. Afterall, they were kind enough to help the first place.
The thanks button is there as a way to show your appreciation. If soneone took the time to help you; thank them for it.

You're welcome friend. If you ever need help, just ask. Nobody should ever be treated with disrespect for asking questions or making mistakes. Just take time to read and research before asking for help. And if anybody flames you, or insults you, report that person, because that is against the rules.
Best of wishes.

What I normally do is root so that I get cwm to make band backups and I can use fancy apps that help for further steps.
Unfortunately you'll have to read 1000s of posts about kernels/roms and how to use certain tools.
I'm no expert myself, but the more I read, and like watching you tube videos, the more I learn.
Also, you've got to tread carefully if your phone is still under warranty and you need to send it back....lol

Like the majority of us, we were excited when we got out SIII's however all the information you need is contained with the SIII walls on this particular corner of XDA. What people are suggesting is you take a look for yourself first and have a read of all things before asking such a question as the answer is but a quick look around.
So, instead of spoon feeding, go for a wander and have a look. You will be amazed at all the info there.
Find the latest leak firmware and use odin to flash it on ur phone

This is my first droid and first smartphone. Im looking for jellybean and try understand how to root and install, etc - few days. Im tired searching, reading, and be careful to not destroy phone. At this time i say many ways to root for many devices and one think can destroy phone. I thought xda forum which i see first time can help choosing correct way, files to install jellybean on my phone bcs its not att, tmobile or other provider.

As Mr Tuff said......we at XDA are here to serve you and all your smartphone needs. please put your phone into download mode open Odin and click repartition and add any random .Tar file ( jellybean will be in there somewhere, have faith ) then click start.
now once you do this you will need to send your phone off to a repair shop where they will activate your newely installed JB build on your phone.
then just wait.........
Hope this helps......................................Probably will not though, lol

Honestly, and I'm not saying this to be rude to you in any way. But more a concern when reading your posts.
You honestly don't sound like someone who should start messing with flashing and rooting........

What he said.
If you can't follow those excellent HOWTOs & FAQs you surely DON'T want to flash your phone. If you have a specific question, ask in the thread about flashing and installing. This here won't help you a bit.

Ya, I agree with this.
Op, just enjoy your phone for now the way it is, the JB leaks are not for people with little experience in these matters.
Hang around xda for a while and learn how things work here, learn why making these threads is frowned upon, read through the JB threads, learn from them.
Then, when you feel comfortable enough to flash it on your own, you are ready to give it a go.

Thread closed, we are not here to spoonfeed you, search and read.
On another note, let's NOT start personally attacking people, report, ignore DO NOT RESPOND.
I understand your frustration, do you know what poor sod has to close all these threads?
But thats not an excuse to flout the rules, and bash people, be calm, be cool, IGNORE and report!
Now carry on and have a happy XDA experience (tm)

I would recommend taking a look at this list of essential guides and everything related to the Nexus 4 here. Additionally, I would recommend taking a look at this video tutorial on how to use the various features of Android and the Nexus 4 phone itself. Let me know if you have any questions.
